I once came home with a hamster that no one wanted at the pet store. She was quite old, stressed and anxious, but i was still able to gain her trust and to offer her a good home for the last few months of her life. 🐹❤
With the exception of my first puppy from Santa, all of my pets have been rescues! Found in the wild even, they make great companions with patience and love.
All of my childhood pets were rescues or rehomes. Their life experiences before we got them were all different, but we tried to give them as much love as we could. They were worth every minute and penny that we spent and more. Thankfully, we did not need to visit a shelter for them, as we never we would have been able to choose. Most have passed on and i am looking forward to seeing them again in heaven. They make certainly excellent bait to get me to behave.
