​@@SanguineVA For some reason, I kinda hope it's a dragon, and that either said dragon, or someone who's said dragon's rider, is sick of and/or hates how cruel people in this kingdom are for no good reason, and seeks to punish, possibly even kill everyone who fits said description, with us being the obvious exception, and them taking a liking to us (not sure if platonic or morez if more, then quite possibly to a possessive and perhaps even yandere level, though we're more interested in trying to convince this person and/or dragon to spare the others, us believing that they can turn over a new leaf and be kind too, if they'd just try. Which won't be easy, seeing as they're very angry to have seen us be unfairly mistreated (like I said, them quite possibly being a yandere, which would more than likely mean them having stalked us and if not, than they'd find out we've been mistreated from the bandages on our arm). They'd smack jerkwad prince around a bit, givin' him a little well-deserved karma, but we somehow ultimately save him and his soldiers, or at the very least, buy them some time, all without killing or even hurting the dragon, nor the rider. Perhaps said attacker(s) could also be from another country, possibly one of the enemy countries that prince jerkface tsundere mentioned, only the catch being that said country is basically the opposite of the one we're in, being full of kind, warm-hearted people, and perhaps it's revealed that contrary to prince jerky tsundere's belief, that it's revealed by the attacker(s) that we're also from said country (at least, originally), though we don't have any plans of treason/betraying/spying/etc., and that our family moved here, possibly when we were younger, either because they _do_ have said intentions, or for some other currently unknown reason. That, or possibly even for no particular reason at all? Either way, this is why listener is so kind, even in the face of cruelty- because we were raised to be so. That, or another plot twist, that being that our family is actually also mean, even(/especially?) to us, neglecting & possibly even abusing us to the point of us having a faded scar going across one of our eyes (Idk, I just like to imagine this version of listener me with said scar from _something_, if not an abusive family). And our father could possibly have stopped supplying to the army during war as much either because he's nice and hates it when people fight, hating war even more so, and doesn't wish to enable it, or, because regardless wether or not he's nice, truly doesn't wish to support the country, though his reasoning _does_ depend on whether or not he's kind too- If he's also alao a kind soul, then it'd be because he doesn't want the country to flourish until its citizens can learn to make/play nice. If he's a cruel bastard (even/far worse than prince tsundere), then it'd be because he wishes to see this kingdom fall, possibly to attack of his own after being weakened by his lack of support. That, or perhaps, our family, or at least our dad, could be what's both neither, yet ironically at the same time a blend of kind & cruel, being (somewhat) tough yet (mostly) fair, and again, no longer planning on supporting prince tsundere's country until again, they learn to play/make nice with one other, along with the other countries, amd that it turns out that us, the kind-hearted and ever-so-warm listener come from a formidable family of docile yet fierce fighters, with an equally generally docile yet also not to be crossed army/militia, and.that we're very much loved & cared for, and even not expected to follow in the tough demeanor footsteps, the rest of our family having recognized understanding, amd even supporting our kind-hearted & forgiving nature, though very much being protective of us, possibly even a little overprotective as a result of said undying kindness. Maybe the attacker could even be a caring family member who found us under this jerky prince's capture. That, or possibly just an either random or legendary/mythical dragon or beast who's upset over being injured, and we kindly & calmly help it without hurting it, like the mouse from the story of the lion with the thorn in it's paw.
Eh...so sorry for the overly long reply 😅...but what do you think? Any of these.ideas sound good to you? Also, I know this is only part 2, but I'm already liking the story & audio so far! Tysm for it! 😄
Also, please, _please_ tell me that we secretly chose to leave out that threat from prince jerkface in his letter, and possibly even added a please & thank you, which he'll learn of later, when the recipient thanks him for being nice with one of his orders for once? 'Cause I can imagine him looking at us with a questioning look, eyebrow raised, to which we respond (possibly in front of said recipient) by looking away while blushing in embarrassment, while nervously admitting to what we did, to his slight annoyance yet also secret (possibly not-so-secret) intrigue, Especially when he sees how thankful his servants & the recipient are, possibly even going the extra mile of doing something a little nice in return, which we proudly glow at, and are even a little smug towards him about, basically giving him an "i told you so" on being genuinely nice to others not being stupid

I am loving this series. You play disinterested cold commander so well. And hah more cheese roll intrigue! They were tasty Sir! Enough of your inquiries! I mean clearly he also wanted to devour them cause why else was he paying so much attention to my sneaky chesse roll thievery? Also him saying what the hell was that at the end is worrying cause he seems like the kinda man that should know so the fact he doesn't is probably very bad.
