You will need one shard to make the table, but you can also find it naturally. The table cannot be mined, silk touch or otherwise and the shards cost 32 emeralds at max level. Hope this helps (also you get the bombs from the villagers as well as rotten wood and planks which you also need silk touch for.) Just wanted to point out now that Effective is available on modrinth for fabric 1.20.1! I have it installed on a custom modpack I made with wakes, physics, shaders, and custom skyboxes. Never have i felt so immersed in an experience before after spending countless hours optimizing, tweaking, and testing just to get that experience right. It's so fun naturally jumping in water and hopping on a boat, looking around, and then seeing the wakes behind you as you leave. It's a great combination.

PufferFish's skills could also give mobs similar skill bumps. Maybe for balance reasons its locked to certain upgrades for hostile mobs. And compatible with non-vanilla mobs, where you can also turn this off/on for individual mobs like bosses in the config
An alternative to the effective mod since they just refuse to let their mod be on Fabric for silly reasons is the "Particular ✨" mod. It pretty much does all the same stuff except it works on Fabric
I wish weapon modder atleast give hostile mob the weapons we use. So we can see spearman pillagers or gun wielding skeletons. To ramp up the difficulty and let mod weapons become part of the world.
