it depends where you go! Dubrovnik and Hvar are definitely expensive, but worth it imo
you guys need to try halkidiki this summer its in greece and it has one of the most beautiful beaches in greece like myrsini and kavourotripes beach the prices are very low here but you will need a car.There are some really beautiful small villages like afytos and sani but people mostly visit halkidiki for the beaches the food and the resorts.

Prices are so high. Look, I have been to many places and to many in Croatia. But pls visit Cotsica, rent a car there and ride around island including inner mountains. You will be more than amazed.

I was wondering what the Napoleon fort looked like. This place seems like a combo of Greece and Italy. What has been your favorite part of your visit?
I agree. I may return one day. May I ask about your drone flying there? Didn't you have to register with the CAA this year. I have flown in the EU before, but in 2024, the new rules take effect.

@@Moitoi55 I would say that in Croatia you have a fair range of prices. Of course Dubrovnik or Hvar are going to be much more expencive. I agree that everything is much more pricey than before the euro.

It's not about the original belonging to Venice... It's about the domiciled population of Croatia that concluded contracts with Venice for the purpose of defense against the Turks. Before the Venetian period, Dalmatia and the Balkans had their own states, as they still are today.

Slavs came to the Balkans in the 9th century and replaced a lot of the native population and a lot of Italians lived in Dalmatia still and hugely influenced the culture as you can see by the architecture

I loved visiting Split, but didn't get out to Hvar. Split had the most ATMs of any place I've ever been! All us tourists needed kuna.

Guys, I think you messed up with this one. One day only in Hvar and you catch a ferry to one of the wee islands? You missed Hvar, really. And the nightlife is a big part of it, and no, you dont have to be a party animal. Its just crowded bars and restaurants and the al fresco mediterranean vibe with crowded streets. I am sure you would have enjoyed it, as well as exploring Hvar itself and all it has to offer.
definitely didn't mess up, the relaxing beach on the island was our favorite part and exactly what we were looking for :D
