Steve, just wanted you to know that the small engine shop near my house said it would cost me $150 to fix my Stihl FS55r. I said fuck that and watched every video you had on a weedeater. I got a new carb, a filter, and fuel filter for $15 on amazon and then tuned it with another one of your videos and now it runs like a champ! Thanks for doing what you're doing brother. It took me 3 Coors but your instruction is top notch and I'll try to drop down to 1 beer on the next. Again I can't stress enough how helpful these videos are. Have a good one.

Steve I have a Kawasaki trimmer that suddenly had a throttle lever w no resistance and wouldnt do more than just start and die. I've been watching your channel for a month or so, so I looked for your video that was about almost the same problem I was having. Anyhow, I learned about wide open throttle and what it looks like watching your video. I opened the throttle lever assembly on my trimmer, saw that the throttle cable had become disconnected inside the housing and was able to reattach it. Runs like a dream again. Really appreciate the education!

After browsing your wonderfully entertaining and accurate videos in researching my Stihl FS 90 brush cutter's run problem, checking and confirming correctness on my machine, as i go, I watched this one. And guess what? I found my throttle stopped about 3/8" from bottom. I adjusted it using the top adjusting screw to the stop plate and am excited to confirm the problem is corrected. It is way to late to run it right now, my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it. I have been doing this on and off all day.
I have gained a tremendous amount of valuable information about my Stihl FS 90 and have enjoyed your entertaining and knowledgeable presentations. I also have a Honda 2200e generator, (runs perfect) and a Ryoby 1800 backup gen (with issues) and a friends older model Briggs 5000 that I will be working on soon. I am so delighted to have found you on RUclips, subscribed, joined membership and am proud to support your efforts to save us all time and money.
You will be seeing more of me as a regular participant.
    Thanks again for being YOU!

@@StevesSmallEngineSaloon Hi Steve, my confusion has set back on. I posted an up date earlier today after starting and running my FS 90 after adjustment on throttle cable. It tru ran like when I bought it brand new. But this afternoon i fired it back to clean another area and it did the original problem. Tomorrow I will be checking all settings and adjustments again and also adjusting the spot in the hand grip. I have two handed handle grips but i was able to locate the slide adjustment slot. Please inform me if there is something i am over looking.
BTW I am on the Big Island of Hawaii, got a cabin on 3 acres of raw rainforest jungle. I am wondering what the time difference between us is.

New Sub after watching that video, I'm having that exact issue on an FS 90. I took it to the dealer for a complete renovation, new hoses, cables, lube and primer bulb, had to take it back twice since, it runs like new but only with close to full choke and the cable is not engaging all the time. The dealer said he would take care of it free of charge but I have to haul it to him again. Hopefully I can do it myself and call it a day. Thanks for the info and I'll be having an IPA in 3 hours as soon as it's quitting time.

I really liked the way you already had the beer in your hand when the video started. My attention was immediately drawn to the beer in your hand and you waving the beer around when you were talking. If I were a new viewer, I would be wondering, "Why is he waving that beer around?" and then when you actually drank it, they would catch onto the joke. You need to spend a few more seconds saying something about the beer such as: "A really cold Budweiser sure goes down smooth on a hot day." Keep up the good work and the video was very helpful.

But have me opportunity to clean the air box and filter but still stuck. Is it froze in tye middle of the cable or what I don’t get it. Thanks Steve !

I've rebuilt the carburetor, put new fuel line in, tuned it and it runs awesome except one thing that I can't figure out. The throttle cable is to short. Unless I use a screwdriver and push the throttle all the way back, it revs kinda high. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hey Steve i have a throttle handle that looks like this img.banggood.com/images/oaupload/banggood/images/67/C3/3e952897-3c27-4beb-8392-09d40e08c49a.jpg
Do you have any idea what should the cross section of this handle look like, i'm having difficulties figuring out how to position the return spring.

Steve did you have long hair back in the '70s and '80s? I can picture you 30 years ago with a ponytail
