Everytime I see "real-time" I get very confused, does that mean this could be used in video games? Or just an easier development structure for cinematics? Real 3-D VFX in video games is so lacking, so if this means we're not far from seeing stuff like this in video games then that's absolutely insane!!! I wonder if this could work with say Nanite and Lumen for example? Thank you for posting :)
It could be used in games if heavy optimization is done. For VFX programs like Ember-Gen, real-time means that the simulation is being simulated and rendered in front of your eyes. No bake time needed. This is very useful if you want to tweak your scene on the fly without having to wait ages. Considering how fast technology is evolving you should probably prepare yourself to see such simulations in games in approx. 5/10 years
Ehh i am not sure but the shading looks kinda down to me cuz (as a houdini user) the colors are not complementing just like in real life. Houdini pyro shader looks more natural imo (i am not promoting)
@@vssjinx you use houdini? How about watch some movies like dune, bumblebee etc etc where there are tons of pyro stuffs and none of the look like embergen shading.... just suggesting. If you cant give proper reasoning nor flaw out my statement without proper arguments then i better suggest to stay quiet fr.
I'm a houdini user myself. While yes it may not look as photorealistic as houdini you have to take in consideration that this is real time which is utterly mind-boggling.
@@lukeattard9914 yea i understand that.... embergen got that beautiful high quality detail in realtime but may have flaws in final output. While houdini is slow af.... like just waayy slow cooking high resolution data but atleast it looks believable at the end

So what is the point to compare realtime viewport shading with render engine's results?
Houdini is dead, Realtime is King 👑 I mean look at this smoke quality, a normal human can't even notice that 4-5% extra increase in quality that Houdini gives you in return of taking that time of your precious life, for nerds who can't understand that people don't even care about that extra 4-5% can keep doing VOPs DOPs SOPs CHOPs..👽 If the story is great but the vfx is moderate, the audience couldn't care less about vfx, start focusing more on stories.
I wouldn't say Houdini is dead yet as they still have sparse(I know Embergen is getting it) and Houdini reigns Supreme in fluid, fracture, RDB, etc. However, I do believe real-time is the future and Embergen 2.0 will officially put Houdini down.
You guys are nuts lmao, first of all, Houdini wasn't ever made for things with "moderate" VFX, other easier software existed for that. Janga FX Suite will only replace those completely not Houdini because Houdini is much much more than a VFX software now (although VFX is it's main selling point). And, SifeFX has a history of adapting to newer norms to stay at the top and has been doing this for years till now, there's a good chance they will make something like this but maybe even better (just like karma). Other than all that, yeah this is good
Houdini is about handeling extreme complexity and deep control u cannot begin to imagine. I understand this software is an exceptional in terms of speed and quality to some extent and for certain market. but still it is too limited.

Thanks for taking the time to do this

I could watch this all day ...
Nice! So much of that seems like you could essentially drag and drop and be 90+ percent there.
Are these presets available for download or purchase?
Awesome, thanks a lot for sharing👏👏
sooo satisfying

@@acidsilly ooo i see! ty for reply! yes, i’m hoping! 🤞
look at squad they use really good vfx the game realistic af
realtime mostly refers to 23.8 to 24 fps so you might be able to use it in video games
Is the one around the 13:00 mark emitting from a texture?
Yes but it’s just the noise map. You can’t use your own textures (yet)
@@JessePitelaVFX noise map is still good for chucking over and object and coming up with a randomly emitted fire source.
How to bring these into unreal? Can you make a tutorial about it please? Thanks.
Flipbooks or NanoVDB
@@MortalShores but flip book can't be real 3d. Is nano vdb production ready?
@@OnyxLee absolutely not

Can you produce a lightning bolts, electricity effect in embergen?
Yes check my main channel @redefinefx for tutorials
hai anyone please help me to how to render out in PNG
Included in my embergen Bootcamp
🔥🔥🔥
hello friend, can you run the program on your phone? and what is the name of the program?
The second effect is inspired by „they turned into dust“ wtc ähm wtf
There is not any fluid example, just explosions, smoke and fire?
Yeah JangaFX are currently making a program called LiquiGen, that’ll be where we can do the fluid sims
Fluid means both smoke and liquid.
Linux but no OS X? Odd!
