So 60hz and famestride 2 works for 24/25/30fps Blender sequences then? I don't undestand why this is better than changing the entire sequence in Embergen to work natively with your Blender sequence. I mean there are no sync problems later? So for 24fps shouldn't it be 48hz for embergen simulation and frame stride 2? I don't understand
I suggest: regardless of having 24, 25, or 30 fps, override to 30 fps and export a framestride of 2 like in the video. Doing as you say (no override, 24 fps, 48 hz, framestride 2), is technically correct but is potentially gonna break up completely the simulation in Embergen (too fast explosions, explosions not happening at all, stuff like that). Btw if broken simulation must happen, you already see it happening in Embergen, so trying costs nothing.
@@RaffoVFX I did try lowering to 24hz and indeed things go very fast and such. I guess it requires adjusting the values in Embergen to match previous speed and so on. I'm just curious as to what it does to the fluidity of the sim with your method, in your experience. Like why doing it like that is the way to go, despite the framerate not matching exactly I mean.
Wonderful stuff! Very helpful! I just recently joined your Patreon and found exciting tutorials in there. I was wondering if I could find the Ghost Rider animation in a Blender file somewhere in there if it's something you are willing to provide. I'm not sure if you already have it there and I missed it. Really appreciate your work. Thank you!
What a superb tutorial! By the way, is there any solution we can make to expand the "bounding box" or the domain or I don't know what's the right term for that ( Hahaha), so that you can simulate a long smoke trail?
@@RaffoVFX yeah your right; but when i add teh light in the scene it's like the colors of the flame is not that bright, what do u think? and thank u for responding
@@RaffoVFX Hello again! I used a preset from embergen, a shockwave. it has 33m voxels by default but still lags in the middle. as I've heard from other tutorials, that's too low? I got ryzen 7 5800x3d and a 4070 ti.
no, I believe RUclips has already millions of video about character animations. My Patreon is mostly about destruction stuff, vfx, simulations and compositing on real footages, personal teaching, stuff like that
hello, i could need some help , is it possible to use an imported geometry only as an Effector und not as an Emittor. I want to manipulate an fire emittor with an imported Geometry but the Geometry himself should not burn. but rather it should effect the emittor with his geometry, i hope this was clear, my english is ugly sorry, , sadly i cant find an option like that. In Blender forexample, when you start a simulation, you can us an Geometry as an Effector inside the Domain Box. I really need this Option in Embergen. Someone can help pls ?
i found out by myself, you must give the emitter and the geometry two different Emitter Volume und turn off smoke and flue inside the emitter Volume of the geometry ❤❤❤❤ after 8 hours ❤❤❤😂

What great explanation! We will probably be sending this one around a lot in customer support ❤
much thanks man! Post more videos please!
You don't know how much you help me posting this video raffo... Love you brother ❤👏🤝🔥
happy to hear this helped you, you are welcome!
Grazie mille Raffo, sei un santo!
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!

Very good.
Thanks!
Really helpful! Thanks!
my pleasure:)
Thank you so much for this simple tutorial! This is what I needed 🥲
you are welcome:)

Thank you:) this project is not available for download, however I usually say it on youtube when related files or tutorials are on patreon:)
@@RaffoVFX I understand. Thanks for your reply!
Finally 💯🙏🏽
yess :)

thank you! check the simulation node options!
thank you !!
you are welcome!
u the GOAT
much thanks :)
can you please explain the shader setup of this simulation in blender ( Fire + smoke shader , ember gen to blender )
For the fire I use the shader made by Christopher Fraser, its really easy to tweak, check it here blendermarket.com/products/pyro
Sir EmberGen download nahi ho raha hai please help
do u know why when i go to render viewport i can not find the colors of my smoke pls?
you will have to work on the shader editor, or maybe you just dont have any light in the scene ?
@@RaffoVFX yeah your right; but when i add teh light in the scene it's like the colors of the flame is not that bright, what do u think? and thank u for responding
When i import fbx in embergen only 2 keyframes are apearing ??
mmm weird…try to do an action bake for the armature before exporting, so that it “fills the timeline with keyframes in all single frames
how is your VDB playing so smoothly? mine just lags when it gets into the middle...
check the voxel count of your vdb in embergen, when is too high it will lag in Blender
@@RaffoVFX I gotcha. Thanks!

will this same process work in Unreal Engine as well?
in unreal engine is easier, Janga made a plugin to simplify the importing if I remeber correctly. Ask them about that
Is this also on your patreon?

how export color/material??
materials are software dependent.

you did gloss over the issue im having with transforms
how can i get mroe FPS
most of the time its all about optimizing your simulation setup. A part from that, of course a nice gpu is required for embergen
You didn't talk about shading though...
can you make car drifting smoke in embergen ? and blender and workflow ?
