    What do you recommend for sealing the quarzite? I have dumont and the sealer i used from more brand keep getting dried while i was applying and dont think it got the job done.

    The material is 1-1/4” thick. Ease the edge and and it be smooth. I know you have to do the island like that but not the counter

    Why would you miter the edge on the counter?

      Cause it could provide a smoother and more finished look, if you laminate the edge the pattern won't flow well. Hope that answers your question.

      Because it was mentioned that is was 2cm Zermatt, not 3cm. Most countertops are done in 3cm. So, to give it the thicker look on the edges, it is turned and mitered. Adds a lot of cost in labor. Just get the 3cm.
