We all miss you all. Love to you and you passed brother. Saw you at another roadside attraction, in syracuse, in buffalo, you were and will always be our boys. Be well 😊
Just watched the Documentary last night. You guys are now one of my most admired and loved band. Im sorry you guys lost Gord. What a beautiful soul🎤🎙️😇❤️🤘🏼
I always love that song I could listen to it every day and never get sick of it it's cool that it was just a jam song I thought there was something special about it
Gord: woodshedding is a magical space to be in with fellow artists. It creates a feeling of euphoria only musicians can relate to. We are all blessed if able to live in and share rare moments like this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
When it started out in the middle of NOIS at the break it was such a cool 180 right when you kicked into Escape. In Rochester when you did this the house speakers all went offline and all that was left were your monitors for about 5 minutes until you transitioned to Put It Off and back to NOIS.
Love you guys. A couple of weeks ago my wife had the honor of meeting Paul Langlois at a grocery store. He was unreal humble. When she asked him for a picture with him, certainly he said.
One of your guys best songs that’s a cool guitar riff you’re fantastic bass player Gore. I never did get to see the Hip live which I’m really sad about. However, music lives on forever. I’ll always be a huge fan. Thank you for everything you have done and everything you guys still do.
What a band of brothers they were. We miss you guys. Spiritual Peace, Gord Downie. We miss you, your heart for humanity and those clever, lyrical landscapes.
I have an Elsinore Brewery shirt too! “Im taking you to the loony bin and then I’m going to the brewery, eh!” Luv ya Gord! Thanks for all the great music!
I feel the loss of the group as do most Canadians and Some Americans, of the past 33 odd years. The magic that was the HIP is embellished by these clips and the concert footage I missed. Thanks Gord for your candour ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm so sad to have never seen the band live. I sing along to the best of hip on Spotify everyday while doing flooring work, customers haven't kicked me out yet lol. My heart is set on a Tragic Tribute ! Just need a band! I host karaoke in kirkland lake and open every week with a double shot of the Hip. Singing with you guys is on the top of my bucket list! We miss you all too!
I so miss Gord Downie and the Hip. I know no one can ever replace him but I think a nice and interesting idea might be to do a charity concert or tour with guest singers to raise money to combat brain cancer. I could definitely see a hunger for this amongst loyal fans like myself as a way of remembering and paying tribute to Gord Downie.
I never thought of someone finger picking on a bass. ❤. I painstakingly taught myself to fingerpick on my first guitar when I was 13. 😊 By ear and repeatedly lifting the needle on my record player over and over until I felt I figured a song out. It was well worth the effort. But really I never knew you fingerpicked that bass guitar to get that sound for that song. Fantastic!
I think it's probably actually MORE common for bass players to use their fingers? Electric bass just evolved from the acoustic 'stand-up' Double Bass, which is almost exclusively played with fingers. It's also why you'll sometimes you'll even see a FRETLESS electric bass!
@@StreetPreacherr oh yeah I know. But the finger picking pattern being played on this song is more of the pattern style usually used on an acoustic guitar. (For example a travis style picking).
I don’t know what it is about Grace too, but it just has such staying power that baseline right in the beginning is perfect…I hear the similarity now I’m gonna make Escape is at Hand’ right after Grace Too on my playlist it’s almost like a companion song now that you mention it
Thank you for this Mr. Sinclair. "This music speaks to me."
I see what you did there.
One of my top 10 Hip songs. So great.
Thanks for sharing - love hearing how you all did what you did.
Part of me hopes/wishes you guys would just get together and jam for yourselves. You've given the fans enough. ❤
Apparently Nirvana did this for a long time after Kurt died. I think it's a great idea!
Goddamn masterpiece of music.
Gord, you’re the man. One of the most consistent bassists in classic & Canadian rock. You’ve written such creative music
Such a brilliant song. I really can't think of anything like it: the singing bass sound, the etheral guitar, the simple yet magical narrative.
We all miss you all.
Love to you and you passed brother.
Saw you at another roadside attraction, in syracuse, in buffalo, you were and will always be our boys.
Be well 😊
Thank you for making my life awesome because of your music. Im happy i got the chance to see you live a few times.

These scenes stories are both heartwarming and heartbreaking. A glimpse at something beautiful that was and that will never be again.

It's hard to pick a favourite hip tune. But man. This one is easily top 3 for me.
❤ you guys and your music mean so much to me
I can't believe it that I just discovered your band but oh my God what else can I say thank you...
I always love that song I could listen to it every day and never get sick of it it's cool that it was just a jam song I thought there was something special about it

Your magic touched so many lives! Hope you are well and inspired.
Beautiful memory of yours. 🥲
Great tune brother
Love this song so much, it's a Top 10 Hip tune for me. The rhythm section really makes the song, such a great bass part!

I adore that tune.
Rest in Peace good gord ❤

I still listen almost daily and now learning the guitar so I can learn to play the songs
Us too Gord, I hate to think I'll never see my favorite group on earth together anymore. But still the music though
Love this song❤
Thank you
Great song...
that chorus could slay a thousand armies

Love it!!!! The live version on RUclips from the Bathhouse is a real ripper

Gord D's homage to Jim Ellison
Sorry typo meant Gord**
The pigeons sat a while with their weigh listening to the singing chambermaid. She said they checked out an hour ago
Im sorry
Heyy
Song writing. Meant to be
😂he hates you-just wants your vote
One of Canada's greatest bands
I really hope you guys can make some music together again
It won't be the hip but I am sure it would still be great
