My father liked Lola Falana and my mother would say to my father your girlfriend is coming on the television he would run and they would both laugh. Billy Eckstine lead his big band sung and played trumpet and valve trombone absolutely convincingly all musician he was. His band played right next to Duke Ellington's Orchestra, Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Lionel Hampton Fletcher Henderson and more
