society It’s American, but artist Bob Rafei based Jak’s appearance on another anime character, Dragonball Z. Which I believe has a cult following, but I have never played it.
Jak's design is actually based on Battle Chaser's art style, which is an American fantasy comic series by Joe Madureira. It's also what inspired the game's logo.
They actually made a game to explain what Daxter did for those 2 years between arriving in Haven city and rescuing Jak, and they still manage to not explain it!
I think that "2 years later, almost" shouldn't be there. Osmo lost his previous employee at the very beginning, when Jax and Daxter arrived to Haven City, it is impossible he kept the extermination job for 2 years without employees. Also, by that time, he should've forgotten Daxter or moved on on him as a replacement. And finally, Haven City is still in construction in Daxter, at least in the section you play. For me, Daxter does take place in that 2 year gap, working with Osmo. That sentence in the intro simply doesn't make sense.
Daxter wasn't bad at all. For a portable spin-off, it was fantastic. Haven't cared to try and collect everything since I was a kid, though. Exhausting process.
I don’t think people thought it was bad. For a PSP spin-off, it was really good. The only game that Jak fans seem to agree is bad is The Lost Frontier, and that was still fairly decent
I thought Daxter had an excuse for taking 2 years to free Jak from the prison, that he was planning for a long time. And now I find out he’s enjoying himself at a local pub, getting drunk... ? I’m sure the game is still good, but what the hell Daxter!?
Yeah, we don't actually get an answer for where or how he kept himself afloat for those *almost* 2 years. Maybe odd jobs? Finding somewhere to sleep or stay must've been a little easier since he's small, but at the same time considering he's likely to be eaten or killed, who knows?
Well to be honest he didn't exactly know where Jack was taken so how could he have find a way to break him out he was lucky enough to find out where he was while working that odd job at that old guys bug spray place
Bruh wdym? Daxter was miserable for 2 years, didn't know the world he had gotten into and was just trying to survive. The bar scene shows how low he was.
@@TheFloodFourm Jak took out a robot more powerful than a single crimson guard though. The precursor robot was equally as powerful as Kor and even the Dark makers probably
Aww I love Daxter. He's one of the big contributing factors to why I love duos/sidekicks so much. Jak and Daxter, Eddy Brock and Venom, Sam and Max, Kayn and Rhast (League of Legends), Banjo and Kazooie, Team Rocket and Meowth, Tony Stark and Jarvis/Friday, Warlock and Hunter pets from WoW and such are all examples. I always like having a little buddy with me wherever I go.
It honestly feels weird seeing Samos praise Daxter to such an extent at the beginning. But it's nice to know that he actually does have a decent amount of respect for him... even if he never says it directly to his face.
And I still wonder to this day how the hell did they bring that giant ass ring down the fortress past the lavas and everything else and set it up without it falling, rolling down the mountain or breaking it.
that's a good point. Maybe the four sages or Samos by himself levitated it back? Still must have been an awkward and difficult journey, especially since cargo vehicles or zoomers don't seem to be a thing in Jak and Daxter. Maybe a Lurker blimp?
I didnt knew that there was a Game called Daxter. Thats interesting. That would answer my question where Daxter was after Jak has been kept 2 years in Jail for Dark Eco Experiments
Dak and Jaxter is my favorite Korean anime.
The adventure of Pikachu and Naruto.

Naughty dog said it’s Japanese/anime inspired.

He has basically spent those 2 years at the bar telling stories lol.
Fr fr what was he doing all this time and finally got to met osmo though his house is just at the corner
For some reason, I thought he spent 2 years as an exterminator

@@SaquiSacC Yea. The "Constuction site" is in Jak 2 too, though
Why isn't Daxter getting a hd remake. Come on, guys. This game wasn't that bad. The dreams were the best part.

I was so disappointed when I found out this game never got ported to the PS2 since I don't own a PSP anymore 😞
@@ClassicGamer9044 I love this game is too good
Daxter was an excellent game, its widely considered to be in the top 10 (or even top 5) PSP games
Never played Daxter, weird hearing Samos talk about him in a good light even if it's just for a second hahaha
It almost made him violently ill.

@@juliantapia1407 Maybe Daxter has experienced culture shock. He may have been trying to survive the mean streets of Haven City by himself.

And how tf did it take Osmo 2 years to finally meet Daxter?
Still bothers me that til this day Jak didn't even put up a fight after that big ass adventure from the first game.
I feel like armed humanoids are a step up from wild magical animals.

They sucked punched him while he was completely confused. Didn't see it coming, otherwise he'd have beaten then and became a younger fugitive.
Pretty sure it was morally different for Jak to be hitting an actual person than a lurker. Of course he learned the hard way for two years.

that was really well made
This was one of the best games I played on PSP, and to this day I still play this game.
Samos narrating is truly epic especially in 2 😢🔥
I personally believe that a cut to the hut from the image in the Daxter scene would be amazing :)
The musical score of Daxter was really good. I gotta play it again.
Who the hell disliked this? This was pretty good.
I agree I wanna Know which heartless 💔 asshole disliked this video 😡
I love how you smoothly combined these 2 intros!
Daxter was such a damn good gane
Daxter was the first game i played on psp back in the days... thanks for the upload. This game was what it got me to the series
Great editing
Daxter (2006) PSP
Jak II (2003) PS2
That flowed perfectly.

Perfect Edition
Congratulations no dislikes as of April 2018 anyways great video. ☺
Hate to break it to ya bud but this video currently has one ☝️ dislike
daxter really is a good friend if he spends almost (!) 2 years doing nothing in a pup 😂
I'm kinda disappointed to not have play Daxter.
Am i the only who heard I’m trying to buy a drink here at 6:29
no i heard it too i cant believe i never noticed that before lol XD
I heard it
*4:10** poor jak :(*
Great video!
The 2 dislikes are the red guard on 2 different accounts
They sure showed me
Wow this video quality
I don't understand why Erol and the Krimzon Guards captured Jak
Onin tipped them off, gave the Baron the exact time and place Jak would appear. She's the reason why the Baron did the dark warrior program.
Didn’t anyone notice Jak’s hair was green on the PSP instead of yellow green the PS2 version.
Entonces asi es como ocurre la historia ❤❤😮😮😮
Nice video
