    When I was in Thailand we went to an elephant sanctuary where they rescued circus elephant and let them live free in the jungle and it was too one of the greatest experiences in my life. What shook me is how intelligent, kind and social they are. Because of the heat we had sun hats and at the end I had given mine to put on one of the elephants for a "funny picture" and when I turned to walk away I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was the elephant handing back my hat. Elephants are called gentle giants for a reason. Very intelligent. The only thing is, you have to give them a bath every 8-10hrs, to keep their body cool. Need to be alert during their mood swing period.

    Cool how you were somewhat ironically in perhaps the safest outdoor situation in terms of danger from tigers. Many potentially dangerous species out there, but unless VERY hungry and in large packs, none dumb enough to tangle with an elephant. If anyone's interested , there's some great videos on YT of social experiments were actors pretend to attack people who have some sort of bond with an elephant; while said elephant is present. Suffice to say they're fiercely protective of any mammal they perceive to be a friend of sorts.

    • @seraphina985
      @seraphina985 Год назад

      Oh for sure, besides which that was also her home so tiger would probably be told in no uncertain terms to go elsewhere. Failure to do so would not end well for said tiger, oh sure they are fierce themselves and would likely get some nasty bites and scratches in but an adult elephant would end up stomping them into the next life before the tiger got close to bringing them down. Tigers can sometimes take out a baby one on one if it somehow gets separated from the group but trying to take on an adult in a one on one fight is game over for any tiger that doesn't get the hint and decide to flee beforehand.
