Update! Sky have reported that the PGMOL are disappointed that ex players have come out criticising VAR and Michael Oliver on a decision they think is correct. The dictatorship has spoken. Expect a few mainstream outlets to do their usual and change their view now. Wouldn't be surprised if on Sky and TNT they now back the decision

All fans need to come together and recognise this isn’t about Arsenal moaning about refs or ‘oh yeah we all get bad decisions sometimes, get on with it’. This is systemic and chronic incompetence or something more sinister like corruption at worst. Oliver has literally been paid by City to work for them in the past.
The VAR said MLS was sent off because a “initial contact was above the ankle” and therefore “serious foul play”, and then they said the Wolves player got a 2nd yellow instead of straight red even though he made contact above the ankle because “excessive force was not used”. They can only consistently get away with such disgraceful decisions by turning rival fans against each other and bantering people who dare to speak out. We need to wake up!

Correct to separate the functions. Also correct to just scrap VAR, except through manager challenges, one per team, if your appeal is held up, you keep your challenge, if not, you lose it. The twist on this I’ve not heard before is if the *other* team loses *their* challenge afterwards, yours is restored.
