@@mimibazela1025 The problem on here is when you state footballing facts people get upset. A lot of people are bitter for what reason? The team is top of the league on merit regardless of what is going on around them. It's almost like people would like us to be mid table just to prove a point. You can't just keep on buying players to keep fans happy especially when they are no better than what we already have. If players are better than what we have then yes go and buy them. Nearly all the players we have been linked with are simply no better than what we have. This isn't a fantasy league.
My suggestion, is don't get your hopes up. Remember you are dealing with Hughesless and Lfc.
Just be wary.

About the contracts there is only one place to lay the blame and that's firmly on FSG! I've never been FSG out, until now! If we lose any/all of the three, the money it wud take to put the team right, is to scary to imagine!!

I totally get your frustration with the owners and spending. For me, my eyes opened up the summer we passed on Timo. I don't think FSG will change and they won't sell. My view over the last two seasons has been to continue to support but I focus on the kids' development. If something special happened this year it will be a massive bonus. If I see the pressure on FSG working and they open the purse strings, then fair play. But I expect habitual cheap will continue.
Without knowing what has been offered or rejected it’s impossible to know who’s being cheap or who is being greedy. Salaries need to be sustainable and the club has to protect itself in future negotiations. The collapse of the Man City midfield highlights the dangers of older players going down hill quickly, no matter how well they are performing in the current moment.
Would be massive to sign Hato. Hybrid LB/CB young player with good attack and defense.

Liverpool pay the money to Trent. He leaves for free you have to go and spend 50 million minimum and you still won’t find anyone quite like him, his delivery and passing is the best there is.

If you actually think Madrid is waiting until now to start talks with TAA then I have a bridge in San Francisco you might be interested in buying. His already signed with Madrid that’s why you’re not hearing anything.
Trent is supposedly looking for £300.000 a week. That’s more than most clubs would want to pay. That’s double the wages of two first team starters. I think the club are right not to pay him that much .
And yet Salah gets £350k which is 2 players wages,and no doubt wants even more to sign a new contract..VVD probably wants £300k as well..

My only confusion about signing Hato is that we already have a young center-back in Jarell Quansah, who isn’t getting much playing time. So why would we go into the market for another young center-back unless we're planning to sell Quansah and use Hato as his replacement?

We need a LB that would be thrown straight into the team, not an 18 year old kid whose only little experience comes from a lesser league. I'm sure we all saw how Khusanov who is even 20 years old and had played in Ligue 1 was exposed yesterday in the City vs Chelsea game. Except if he's one for the future, I don't see how this helps our current predicament. We need a solid player that goes straight into the team like a Kerkez or a Robinson.

@Idkatthispointtbh Gakpo wasn't 18 years old when he game. He was very experienced and banging in goals in Euros n World Cups. Plus Gakpo wasn't a starter when he came. He came in as a squad player. In the LB position we don't need a squad player.

Watched him playing in highlights of 4 recent games including a CL game against Lazio. For what it’s worth I was not impressed, certainly not at the prem level.
If you believe the rumours, Man Utd are having to sell youth team graduates like Garnacho because their wage bill is so high and they won’t meet PSR otherwise. You keep saying FSG are lowballing on contracts, but we fans have no idea what they are asking for. Pay 3 or 4 players big money and it could soon get out of hand with the rest of the squad demanding more, and £300k a week for TAA defo isn’t lowballing.
Onside with you on this one. Dont agree with the way FSG have gone about it, but without knowing what offers are on the table, we don’t know if they are lowballing or not. We know FSG have strict contract policies which als plays into these negotiations.
If Hato, as an 18 year old, is routinely starting for a massive club like Ajax then we can only assume that he is of a different breed. Ajax generally don’t rush their youngsters into starting positions if they aren’t ready for the rigors of a full season of senior football.

Ajax have been promoting youngsters into their first team for decades. Managers of other clubs have visited their academy to understand how they work. Most clubs have copied their formula.

Craig, Jorrel Hato is a LEFT BACK. He can play centre back but its not his main position, hes way better at left back. He wont be a VVD replacement.
Hato would need at least 1 year to get to the required level….very young and even not ready for the Dutch national team yet. David Hancko from Feyenoord would be a better option imo but probably not available yet. Hato is more a signing for the mid term.
