Dear friends, Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I would like to express my mixed feelings about this performance. It was my first attempt to perform a choreography with elements of South Indian Classical dance which I know I am not trained in like I am in Kathak. I just felt that I should perform something that is not common (not common matlab not the fitness-sexy-bollywood that we see 24/7) - and a Telugu song was my choice, which I ask you to accept as something that was important for me personally, being a Telugu-Russian by origin. I also felt very bad for the sound editing in this video, as the person responsible for sound editing didn't do his job properly to put together the sound of ghungroos recorded on mic and the song itself, so the ghungroos sounded completely out of rhythm which of course was not what people have actually heard during my live performance. Those who watch my videos know pretty much about my sense of rhythm. I will keep presenting different shades of Indian culture to the world, stay tuned for more :)
Svetlana Tulasi sad and alarming to know you had such a bad experience with the DID makers. But nevertheless, we Indians back home, especially Telugu fans of yours absolutely love and enjoy your performances. And coming to this song, somehow, this doesn't turn out to be one of your best performances, in my opinion. I felt your choreographer couldn't comprehend the feel of the song and hence, the mood of the song was not simulated in your performance. Nevertheless, I believe it is a learning experience and I wish you all success in your future endeavours! 😍 Thanks for showcasing Indian classical dance forms on a foreign platform. Keep pursuing your passion and interest in dance. Love from Andhra Pradesh, India! Jai Hind.
Svetlana Tulasi do any Indian classical but I never understand the idea of mixing bharatnatyam and kuchipudi. Kuchipudi needs fluid movements whereas bharatnatyam needs geometrical postures. If u decide a move of one style it ruins another style, fusion should be complementing, not deteriorating one style while doing another. All the best for next performance.
1.3 Billion Indians recognized your hard work, dedication and the way you performed and I think it is more big achievement than winning this Talent Show where no one is capable enough to judge your talent. Love 💗❤️ from India 🇮🇳

Punjabi folk dance, Rajasthani folk dance, garba raas from Gujarat, and definitely the South. Malayalam, Tamil n Telugu industries will love u and ur beauty. U could bring so much to the country u are ironically separated from (in the physical geographical sense). Just thinking now, u look so much like Shreya Ghoshal who is a prolific singer of Bengali descent. Ur faces are so similar n lovely. There's no reason India wouldn't embrace u immediately as u resemble so many cultural icons there. U have the bubbly sweet expressions n innocence of Madhuri & the soul and sensuality of Rekha ji. Thankfully u would be a new & refreshing addition to Indian film industries that are becoming increasingly Westernized. I hope u get the recognition, honor n respect u deserve bc I feel Russia n the Ukraine (and their talent shows) do not properly acknowledge ur worth and ebullience. U are more than just a token Indian girl who is merely performing the dance of her heritage to an audience of unacquainted strangers. U are so much more than that, and India is so much more than that.

It is not about being blind but lack of cultural awareness. Bharathanatiyam is a very elegant dance, each steps or we call it mudras has its own meaning and that adds pure essence to the dance. Our so called Bollywood has portrayed a different image of Indian culture to the world ...more of remix culture. Indian culture is vast and diverse. At least she has the courage to put up such a elegant performance, which might seems to others bit dull. Good Show Tulasi ...
svetlana I am an Indian and I have been watching Indian classical dances all my life. Svetlana all your dances are breath taking. Please keep up the good work.
never give up, ever Behati, keep practicing and trying till they say yes. this is an beautiful Indian classical dance. Chase your dreams, one day, it will come. blessings
They didn't know about how difficult to learn and coordinate with muthras in barathanatyam they think it's easy like western ..it ain't easy to learn and dance this form..
Ikr, i've learn the dance for 3 years, its really interesting but soooo dificult, because EVERYTGING has to be perfect, your eye position, your hand and leg movement and the hardess point is that you have to derive a message with expressions on your face(also u have to keep smiling while dancing), meaning you have to focus on several things at once which is really difficult. Plus there is a huge history behind bharata natyam dance. It is said the even the indian gods dance it(ex: lord shiva) and long ago, only men dance it, now everyone can. I was not good at it myself, even after 3 years...it takes years to master, so i stoped doing it, because i had to focus on studies...oh well..
The very fact that you braved to present an Indian dance form to an audience which is totally new to it, without being concerned of acceptance deserves an applause! Listen to the words of those senior judges, and please keep going.
Just today I watched a performance of yours, your grace, expressions are really unmatchable. I'm really surprised, in India some dance shows who ignore our own culture of dance and promote, motivate western style of dance. But see artist like you place your culture first. I really like the way you dance. I'm not a dancer, but after watching your videos I'm inspired and want learn kathak. May God shower lots of blessings, good health, fame to you and your family.
One should understand first to judge... first of all, judge the lady judge’s face... she will never like any lady performing... the face that tells you everything... she decided before you even started... you did well
Svetlana you have the grace of a Goddess. You did wonderful, though I agree a different choice of song would have worked better. Your grace, style, costume and expressions everything was beautiful. I dont understand why the judges were not happy. Keep up your good work...I always wanted to be a dancer but never got trained. I wish you great success and lots of admiration from your audience. Love and Hugs.
Anonymous Unnamed No...it has to do with degradation of life, environment and values. India has never been a regressive nation. In recent times lot of factors have led to such mental tendencies in men. However for each rapist there are 1000 Indian men who are real gems. And expressing sensuality has nothing to do with rape. What sexual signals does a 2 year old give...or 6 month old? women are not responsible for this. Clothing, Looking sensual is not the reason. There are more deeper factors affecting men's psyche. I hope this helps you understand the issue. Be blessed. Thank You.
Speaking as a fellow Telugu-American, I'd like to say its amazing that you're bringing our culture to the global arena. Out of curiosity, how did your parents meet? Sounds like it would be an interesting story!
I also thought of this too, I want to ask; please do let us know; if you already wrote a blog about your parents. Tulasi unfortunately am unable mark you in comment section to bring this to her notice.
Sad that since people worldwide are only familiar with Bollywood versions of 'fusion' dance, they are not aware of the other Indian forms of Indian film dance or music perhaps. There maybe small flaws, I am not a dance critic, but overall you danced superbly. Keep it up
They just don't know how difficult this dance is...hand movements, feel, body language all perfect with mind blowing expressions😀..I got goosebumps watching this😍😍😍...anyone can fall in love with you💖💖💖

Wonderful and brilliant performance. I have seen many Indian dances and this was in the top 1% performance. Your father (telugu speaking?) and your mother are blessed to have you who has the blessings of Saraswathi goddess!
yes she's jealous. and they know nothing about the rich Indian classical artform. I feel very shame and embarrass for those judges not knowing about that. Makes you wonder why are they even judges in the first place. they are waste of time. I find she was excellent.
I'm surprised that why the women judge immediately pressed the rejection button like she is frustrating of this brilliant dance. for rejection maybe they were given different dance & song excuse.

Thank you! I actually participated in DID season 5 and was selected as top 60 after all 3 judges said yes to my audition performance, they gave me the taqdeer ki topi, but then the producers decided to just cut my performance from the show as if I wasn't there at all. Similar thing happened at Dance+ season 1, I was selected as top-60 at the pre-auditions, and then they changed their mind and didn't take me for their show, instead they got other contestant who was doing Kathak. These are just the facts...
wow really! well you've still found success in your own right, and i look forward to so much more from you in the future!...would love to see you and devesh mirchandani work together!
You have such grace and talent. Have been a fan of yours for well over a year now. Sad to hear that the main Indian dance shows missed out on the opportunity to have you on their stages. I think you should audition to the regional television station called Vijay TV in Tamilnadu state in India. They are often open to talents from around the world who dance Indian dances. You should contact twitter.com/DhivyaDharshini or twitter.com/bhavna__b They are both very senior anchors at Vijay TV with active interest in dance. Good luck and wishes to you. May you continue to shine happiness everywhere through your dance.

THANK U FOR PERFORMING INDIAN ART ESPECIALLY OUR TELUGU SONG IN GREAT RUSSIA ALSO GREAT THANKS 🙏
Indian people please help this talented lady to get into bollywood please.. please tag some bollywood directors or actors and help this lady!
she deserves the best... she's working really hard..
and if amy jackson or katrina kaif or jackline can get into bollywood then why not her.. she's definitely much more talented and beautiful than all of the three combined!
rajesh raj I agree I can't bear she doing some item song if in bollywood. better she pursue her passion by creating many more tallents like her through her teachings.or be an inspiration for people who love Indian classical dance
LHSequalsRHS It would be a dishonour to her talent if she was referred to Bollywood. Bollywood industry would adulterate her talent with masala shit and done... Lost forever.
LHSequalsRHS I agree with you
Sadly bollywood works on nepotism 😔
LHSequalsRHS i withe eyu
The lady judge has such a bad gesture. She is totally unfit to be a judge. You should try to Americas got talent or Indias got talent.
Maybe the woman judge is jealous of the contestant's beauty.
She , ( the ugly on the Inside judge) , could be Replaced.
I'm in agreement with you.
No dude, I didn't felt like that. No judge was disrespectful towards her. Instead I feel that if Americans will watch it, they will feel jealous of this show. But we have nothing to do with America and Russia. But we indians are really thankful to Russians for letting her show off her dance skills.
Yeah the expression of the lady judge was not nice even before you started performing I felt she discriminated you .....had some personal thing going on I guess....and I guessed her remarks even before she said anything ..... noticing that 😒 reaction from her from the beginning
That lady judge is cold as ice, her cold facial expressions says it all, what a bitch!
@@dlmalley8639 you are right she never smile on whole performance. She have a attitude in just 30 second she rejected her please come to india here you get more respect and more money.
She danced so nicely.. All her moves were filled with just grace and charm... I'm 100% sure the lady judge is jealous of the girl's beauty and talent...

This performance gave me shivers! So good!!! Those judges are delusional!!!! You’re amazing! Love from Holland!
Wooooooow. What a stunning performance. The choreography was soooooo precise..!!
*What happened to the judges?? Are they blind?
It is not about being blind but lack of cultural awareness. Bharathanatiyam is a very elegant dance, each steps or we call it mudras has its own meaning and that adds pure essence to the dance.
Our so called Bollywood has portrayed a different image of Indian culture to the world ...more of remix culture. Indian culture is vast and diverse. At least she has the courage to put up such a elegant performance, which might seems to others bit dull.
Good Show Tulasi ...
No,just ignorant...
svetlana I am an Indian and I have been watching Indian classical dances all my life. Svetlana all your dances are breath taking.
Please keep up the good work.
never give up, ever Behati, keep practicing and trying till they say yes. this is an beautiful Indian classical dance. Chase your dreams, one day, it will come. blessings

Oh my God ! That is amazing !!! And I am 100%sure those judges don’t know any of the dance forms.
of course they don't because they are not Indian and this is not india's got talent.
Если не понимают танцы - зачем приходят смотреть,решая Судьбу конкурсантов.
Yes dear classical is not at all easy 😃😃😃I'm proud to be a bharatnatyam dancer 😉😉😉
Super Tulasi garu , Russia lo mana india dance adi kuda Telugu lo , superb ,,, extradordinary
THE FACT THAT SHE IS A PERFECT TELUGU, HINDI, ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN SPEAKER
великолепный танец и великолепный голос!!!! браво Светлана!! жюри некомпетентное заседает
Those judges have no idea that they are listening the most peaceful Indian cultural song bloody judges
Peaceful? Ore, the guy gets beheaded at the end of the song. Devuda, naku opika ivvu!
They don't have any idea that they are witnessing thousands of years cultural dance art form from india which requires years of training
Only that lady judge
@@katurivivek 😂 naku kuda
Оооооочень красиво, просто супер!!!!! Браво!!!!!!!

One should understand first to judge... first of all, judge the lady judge’s face... she will never like any lady performing... the face that tells you everything... she decided before you even started... you did well
She's absolutely beautiful, talented and wonderful. She danced so gracefully.

Rashminder Kaur lovely comments from you Princess
Anonymous Unnamed No...it has to do with degradation of life, environment and values. India has never been a regressive nation. In recent times lot of factors have led to such mental tendencies in men. However for each rapist there are 1000 Indian men who are real gems. And expressing sensuality has nothing to do with rape. What sexual signals does a 2 year old give...or 6 month old?
women are not responsible for this. Clothing, Looking sensual is not the reason. There are more deeper factors affecting men's psyche.
I hope this helps you understand the issue. Be blessed. Thank You.
Rashminder Kaur,India isn't a rapists country. watch this video to know where is rape capital.

Я русская, но мне всегда стыдно, что как бы" профессионалы" не видят самородков. Часто засуживают действительно одаренных участников.
I have listened many indian songs in this RGT, AGT especially telugu, hindi

Speaking as a fellow Telugu-American, I'd like to say its amazing that you're bringing our culture to the global arena. Out of curiosity, how did your parents meet? Sounds like it would be an interesting story!

yeah bro me to eagerly waiting to know
I also thought of this too, I want to ask; please do let us know; if you already wrote a blog about your parents.
Keep it up
That blonde lady should not be a judge as her body language is very disrespectful 👎

She's jealous!
yes she's jealous. and they know nothing about the rich Indian classical artform. I feel very shame and embarrass for those judges not knowing about that. Makes you wonder why are they even judges in the first place. they are waste of time. I find she was excellent.
how did you get the subtitles?
I'm surprised that why the women judge immediately pressed the rejection button like she is frustrating of this brilliant dance. for rejection maybe they were given different dance & song excuse.

Telugu people proud of it.
I am from Andhra Pradesh, Chittoor Dist.
your performances are always beautiful, so i can't help but feel like india's got talent or dance india dance would be SO much more appreciative of your art!
May you continue to shine happiness everywhere through your dance.
not really thier level of selection is very high svetlna did very basic
I was having goosebumps while watching your dance. Very nice moves and proud of you for representing the Indian dance on the stage. You set the stage on fire. keep going...!
