To me, Mario Kart 7 is the most forgettable one since Super Circuit, which is a shame as it's a fantastic game with great tracks. The problem is it's sandwiched between Wii and 8, two of the greatest games in the series, and ends up feeling like a lesser version of both. I still love 7 though. It's one I always come back to.

@@travistouchdown7593 Mario Kart 7 only had the spotlight for 3 years, and then everyone moved onto 8 and forgot about it. It's not like Wii where it's really popular even today. As for the glide and underwater mechanics, my mind just associates them with 8 as I've been playing that for way longer.
Man a few conplaints i had with this game was: - Lack of VS Mode and Mission Mode. - Blue shells are just OBNOXIOUS. - Getting 3 stars requires more than just get first place, you gotta collect 10 coins, do a lot of drifts, barely get hit...Basically be a damn Pro. - Unable to disable the timer in Battle mode. - Character choices were Questionable...yeah wiggler, Honey Queen, and Lakitu were some good choices but why Metal Mario? they shouldve just stuck with Waluigi since you can play on Waluigi Pinball thats like adding Mario Circuit/tracks but not adding mario

7 has no bikes and over emphazises on big monster truck karts that make the game feel boring

yeah, I don’t think the machine this was recorded on was actually capable of running the game at 4k60fps. theres some audio warping and slowdown.
