Such a blessing to see this book signing of Olivia sometimes it seems like it was a lifetime ago. I was so excited I couldn’t wait. It’s so nice that you made a videotaping of it. Blessings to you Ciro…… Joann
My goodness, I have loved this precious lady since I was 14 and I’m now 68. She made such an impression on me. I think I picked my first girlfriend in high school because I thought she looked a lot like Olivia. And since I was in love with Olivia, I figured that was a good omen for my girlfriend. There’s just nothing more special than young/first love. You never forget it. I would love to be able to tell Olivia how much she meant to me, and still does. Every time I see her, even now, my thoughts go back to lying in bed, listening to that beautiful soundtrack, and what I felt for her at 14. What a special, beautiful time that was. And then, when I think she had that same effect on millions of other teenage boys across the globe who felt exactly the same as I did, I think…now THAT’S really something. You’re a true superstar when you have THAT effect on the world. I love you, Olivia! My heart still aches when I see you! Your pictures still bring it all back! 🥰
@: Yes, thanks, I was shocked when I saw the news. I saw several years ago that the cancer had returned, but I just assumed that, since it had been so long, she had beaten it again. India and her dad wrote such touching messages about her. India’s, especially, was so sweet and personal. We can only wish that our children write such things about us when it’s our time. Olivia died waaay too young. 😥
Thank you so much for recording this and for posting. Olivia and her family seem to be very kind, wonderful, humble and talented people.❤. I saw "Romeo and Juliet" as a 12 year old. It was an amazing movie. My own children later saw it in English classes (as others have said) and enjoyed seeing Olivia in other movies. I am so sorry to hear of her death. Praying for her loved ones. I'm looking forward to reading her book.
Ciro, thank you so much for recording this memorable event. I enjoyed meeting Olivia...it was definitely always on my bucket list since I was 15.I got to see her in 1969 at a Shakespearean festival at UCLA when I was a junior in HS. The book is amazing and I can't wait to see the documentary by Jason Figgis!
Thank you Ciro, this is a wonderful video. I just finished the book and enjoyed it so much, Olivia Hussey has been a great favorite of mine for years. She is just so beautiful, and seems genuinely lovely and kind.
Omg God bless you family señora Olivia, I glad to have the opportunity to see Alex,India they are grown I hope they remember me.😍😍😍I wish I could know how is Max.😍
I bought your book,I cant wait to start reading it.i was lucky enough to see your movie back in 1668 its still the most beautiful movie I've ever seen.its one of the few I'll never forget.thank you.
I could listen to her speak for hours. Awe the video cut off, sigh! Olivia seems to be so genuine with answering questions and interaction with the audience. I like that she sought out a face before she responded. I remember as a child seeing the Romeo and Juliet movie during unsupervised watching late night TV (Zeffirelli version), I was shocked by the resemblance of nudity, but it was a very edited version (I just found out) because it was network station. I had just finish watching the new remake of Westside Story and was reminded that it was actually in a way the retelling of Romeo and Juliet and I decided to search for a movie of the Shakespeare title and came across a thumbnail photo where i recognize the actors from long ago (I am now 60). I watch the movie, where now I have a better understanding of wanting what the hearts wants and the mind not taking part in it, there was additional scenes included of the honeymoon morning and again shocking because I could tell that the actors were actually very young (but I am aware that nudity in Europe, as with other locations, was no big deal). But I looked at the movie again to appreciate the acting and the art form of telling the realistic point of view of this tell. First, I loved the perfection of Franco's picks of the actors across the board and especially main character couple (just so freaking gorgeous and I like that Juliet was not a stick figure but resemblance renaissance art paintings in museums of that time) and second, the camera shots and colors were just beautiful and third, the song lyrics and music is hunting and quite now really relatable to me (I heard Leonard' Whiting's singing version and he really good) and forth, small gesture of things done not understood when saw it as a child, but as an adult it was like Oh yeah (nursing pulling and removing Juliet's bedding).. One day maybe the extra scenes edited out will be available for viewing. I love Olivia take being a good person, not intentionally hurting others no matter what their status. I praise the son for actually taking interest of the ramblings of his mother and organized it in a book but hope he was able to handle deep personal subject (1st lover, dealing with her mom (because she never spoke on her mom thoughts on her decisions and movies), experience with directors she had to fend off or gave in to, etc. It great that all her family was there in support of the book release and signing. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
I enjoyed so much watching this video! Thank you so much! I hope she does a picture book with Leonard Whiting regarding Romeo and Juliet! Please let me know? Also your book I would love to know when it is published!
I think it is terrible that the youth today know hardy anything about theater or Shakespeare. I loved this movie so much and it is probably the most accurate adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
Anyone who makes a choice, - our earthly privilege - to stalk, scare and assault; without repentance, takes all that with them to the next too late place - of no apologies.
She's almost 70? Still has lovely dark hair and vibrant eyes--she looks natural and has the muliebrity of a person whom has gone through life being the first to care the least of everyone's facination with her adolescent beauty and juvenility. Wrinkles and age are quite pretty and human to me 🙂 plus her great genetics made her quite resilient to the wear of smoking I'd say.

Who would want to beat and rape this beautiful woman? That guy, that animal, who did that to her, I hope is burning in hell.
Absolutely, that fucking bastard Christopher Jones was an animal! He's dead now. May he suffer in hell!
@@steph.li3 I didn't know about this evil Christopher Jones. And glad to know he is where he belongs, lest he affect any of the rest of the living.

She didn't age well, sadly. Probably, it's due smoking.

she looks great!
@@RandomIsMyLif3 I'd say so too, although you said it best!
And who are you, I'm sure not a blazing bottle of beauty - by your self.
@@larciabella Besides looks, I should hope to have the loving family, worldly experiences and down to earthiness even at this age.
