Lx450d/Lx570 is basically Toyota LC200 with better quality interiors, similarly Infinity is Nissan Patrol with better quality interiors. Go for anyone blindly and you won't be disappointed.

Yet Toyota didn't even adapt an 8 speed to the Diesel ?, Toyota is the definition of "outdated powertrains" these days. I'll take the LX570 for the newer and better transmission. And simply can't fault the 7-speed auto in the Infiniti.

How do you make a diesel option that's thirstier than the gas? Just scrap the engine, you've done something wrong. Drop a 4bt cummins in an old oo's or 90's model and the thing will do 30-40 miles to the gallon
Damn it Toyota why don’t we have diesels. I’m having such a hard time looking for the perfect big lux offroader. I want a land cruiser/lx570 with a diesel. That’s it. I haven’t bought an update cause no point. There isn’t a diesel. I don’t want spend another 40k for something that should be included in the car. Still driving the lx470. But I want diesel. Maybe I gotta wait another decade or 2.
Pointless review if you are not going to tell us the respective fuel consumptions. The reason peoplecwere not buying petrols because motoring writers were misleading consumers. People are waking up now that the patrol uses less fuel than a diesel cruiser.
For the price value and reliability nothing can beat INFINITI QX80, and one more thing unique styling

the 450d is the diesel with a 4500cc v8 while the 570 is the 5700cc petrol v8 which is toyota's range topping engine

If you want a Diesel Toyota, you can pick the Land Cruiser Prado, they're very very good for offroading
