Austria is one of my fave countries I have ever been to. You’re voice in the best way puts me to sleep in minutes, but I keep coming back for the interesting content. I also love your videos about voyages on the sea
Your xoice is a treasure, you use it like a virtuoso playing an Amatti violin. Very soothing, yet also exciting and of course the subject information is much too interesting to sleep through. I am relaxed yes, but also happy to have learned new things as well. Thank you again for this unique experience
Your bag of highlighters is legit. It’s exciting to trace the footprints of the ancient/medieval world in the modern city’s structure. The continuity is so poetic. Love it!
Wow! This channel has been such an amazing discovery. Beautiful ASMR, wonderful portrayal of history, excellent interpretation of maps and the most incredible language skills. Best wishes from the Celtic lands of the far West. Diolch yn fawr iawn i ti - many thanks!
They seem to be most people's favourite haha, there are a couple of older ones that are undoing unexpectedly well! Thank you so much, though, it really means a lot to see people going back through my content and leaving nice comments 🧡
Hi! 🌞 Really pleased to see this notification. I loved this video as it was so interesting to learn about something I know virtually nothing about! 😆 I'm not a history person, but I love these videos. Hope you're well x
Helloooo 🥰 I'm so happy to hear that, thank you! And I have to admit, beforehand I don't always know that much about these topics either haha, it's been a really cool way to read up on a little more history 😊
So good to have the historical development of Wien presented by a Viennese passionate about the city. Very intimate understanding. I guess those old city walls with all those towers eventually got pulled down or somehow I never managed to see them. Wonderful book on Wien with all its historical maps. It is amazing the flow of the Danube of today seems to remain in its current position given the wide meandering flow of its historical geomorphology.
Thank you!! That's correct, the city walls got demolished in the 19th century to make way for the Ring street - but that's going to be a different video some day. And as for the Danube, there's extensive regulation these days, of course, since the flooding would be a disaster. It would make for an interesting story too! The Danube Island was created during the last great regulation effort in the 70s which so far has held up very well.
@@MelangeASMR Aha - was always wondering what the origins of the Ring Strasse was. The walls - this makes sense and puts things in perspective. Thanks:-)
Your videos are such a double-edged sword to me; I find them *fascinating*, but I'm always annoyed that I fall asleep so quickly when I listen to them because I want to know moooore 🤣🤣
Thanks
Thank you!! 💛

Aww that's very sweet, thank you! But honestly, fall asleep if you feel like it - the rest of the video will be there to watch another time :)

Right, I absolutely love finding these traces of ancient times in the middle of a seemingly ordinary place!
@@MelangeASMR An extraordinarily ordinary place! 🙂
As someone who has recently obtained Austrian citizenship - these series of videos have been both informative and relaxing. Thanks for the effort!
Oh excellent, congratulations! I'm glad your enjoyed them 😊

Always nice learning about history with you! 😊
🥰❤❤❤
just so awesome!! new fan here!!! 👍👍
Hello and thank you! 👋😊
Absolutely great video as always. You never disappoint. I am curious what the meaning of Melange is. It is very unique.
You're too kind, thank you! Melange is the name of a popular type of coffee in Austria haha, similar to a cappuccino. ☕

Just watch the rest another time and you can both learn more and fall asleep quickly again! Best possible solution ;)
Thank you 💛💛
Would you be able to tell us which book you are looking at here which has the wonderful historical maps of Vienna?
Of course, it's Ferdinand Opll, Wien im Bild historischer Karten. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find an English translation, though.
@@MelangeASMR Thank you!!! : )
My city is on the map. Nice (not Vienna, in the first map).
Great videos... São Luiz Gonzaga, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, 23.07.2022...
