  • Z Grills 11002B Burn Off. I am very impressed with the new Multitasker and Z Grills built a pellet grill that can honestly compete with all of the box store pits. It is built solid and finally has a WiFi controller! I look forward to my first cook on the Z Grills 11002B Multitasker!

I like my Pitt Boss, don't love it, I have upgraded my control module, I hate the grill grates, definitely dislike the flame broiler slide. in your opinion would like new 11002B be a comparable replacement, or what would you go with, Traeger, New Pit Boss Stainless, etc..? Have you had any issues with the temp increasing on the grill slowly? I cooked some wings on it and it takes forever to get the temp back up to the set temp after opening the lid. That’s even with holding the Prime button for a couple minutes. Not sure what may be causing the issue, but my old 700 series use to get back up to the set temp quickly after closing the lid after it was opened

      I like the Z Grills pit because it can hold a little more than the Pit Boss and larger hotel pans. The Traeger is overpriced. The Pit Boss is a little more versatile because of the flame broiler. But they all have good things about them even the way overpriced Traeger so if you are only going to smoke then both the Z Grills and the Pit Boss are great options. If you want a little flame to grill then it is the Pit Boss. Thanks for watching!! I might do a video but I got a bunch of stuff I need to get rolling on! My control board outta the box was all wonky, flashing weird characters. The app worked and Z sent me a new controller. Got new controller in yesterday. Thing holds temps like a rock. Except the app is all wonky reporting all kinda weird stuff but now the control on the unit is fine. Sent them email but, may try uninstalling the app and reinstalling. This video was filmed back before I became a full time content creator, so I only filmed when I had free time. I actually used this pit 10 or 15 times and it did a decent job. I ended up giving it to a friend who still uses it. I have had a couple people mention in the comments a couple issues they have had (you will need to go through them to see because I can't remember). But this pit is basically a Traeger Timberline 1300. Thanks for watching but again, I never had any issues with mine and it is still running today.

    I appreciate the breakdown on getting these started. Question…I got the 11002B and am doing the 30 min burn at 275. But the temp has now climbed to 318 and appears to
    Still be climbing. . Is this a sign that mine is going to have problem holding temps?

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ  6 месяцев назад +1

      It is kind of normal for pellet grills to climb above the set temp and when it is preheated, it will tend to level off. Temp swings are normal and really not an issue. My offset has temp swings too. Thanks for watching and if it gets higher than 50 all the time, call customer service.

      Someone in the review section of Z Grills website said try turning off the security settings on your router if you're having trouble getting it to connect. I don't own an 11002B yet and have just been doing some research before I buy so I can't comment on if that's the fix, but maybe worth a try if it wasn't already covered in troubleshooting. Hope this helps.

      @@johnrhines3473 Oh yeah, completely understandable and I agree. From what I gathered from the Z Grills post, it seems the poster was saying to temporarily open the network long enough to establish the initial connection, basically allowing the 2 devices to complete a "handshake" and then you can turn the security settings back on. I had a similar experience getting an Inkbird IBBQ-4T to connect. I'm looking to pull the trigger on one of these 11002B's soon and if I have the same connection issues I'll revisit this post. I am seriously impressed with the chamber on this pit and can't wait to cook on it! With the cost of steel and everything else involved in the world the top pits by each brand will be $1,200-$2,000.
