Great video my friend. You can go to any major store like Target, Walmart etc and compare a wide variety of prepaid simcards in one place (usually is in the back part off the store where electronics are located at)Thank you for the valued information on your other videos, because I'm planning to go to Cairo and Doha next month.
Yes, I'm surprised he missed that one
Yay! Tom! Miss you, my friend! Happy travels!😊
Aw thanks dear for your always support! 🙏🏻❤️ until the next group trip! 😍
At some airports in the United States, there are vending machines that will sell you a prepaid SIM card from a carrier such as AT&T, Ultra Mobile, or TracFone
Great tip!! Thank you!
@@CruisingwithChooChoo Interesting but I do hear over the past few days "Don't get anything from Airport"
I am from Europe and and my Xiaomi mobile is not working on t com sim card,so I bought AT&T and it worked perfectly
Great to hear! Thank you for the additional information
the best, most concise infos that I got until now!
I'm from Indonesia and I'm using the most popular and expensive sim card provider, yet I still get a good price for US$2,50, I'll get 12 GB a month
Not everyone lives in Indonesia my friend! I wish data was so cheap all over the world. International sim cards are simply expensive
The Closest thing we got here in the US is visible buy one of there phones or a unlock one in the us. 25 dollars month for unlimited , if the network is packed your speeds slow down. That is not cheap now send your referral link to 12 people. When they uses it now you pay 5 dollars a month for a year. No party is 40 dollars. I forgot smart watches and kids watches are always 10 dollars month includes unlimited data. Yeah AT&T has a list so check before you come. If roaming you will not be kicked off the network. Edit. Sorry I can’t answer you Elisa Anggraini he blocked me.
Provider apa dan beli dimana??
@@dumplingcheeks18 I think I am unblock it runs on Verizon there are promo codes in Reddit. First month is $5 add a friend second month is 5 and so on. Update they changed the plans one is 30 dollars and other is 40 dollars with premium data and comes with international calling to some countries also including roaming to Canada and Mexico 500mb.
Here in India i am getting 2gb per day or 56 gb per month for 3 dollars
Thanks TomTom. Great info for travellers!
thanks for the detailed info my friend, very helpful

You can buy a MINT for $45 - it gets you 5GB per month for 3 months
Tell us where!?!?!? Not at the airport… so then where shall a tourist go? Enlighten us… 🙏🏻❤️
@@TravelTomTom mint use a deprioritize network of T mobile also they have no physical store that's why mint plans are somewhat cheap. But you can take mint or ultra because you will be using wifi anyway in any cafe or hotel .
Thank you! Very helpful video.
Thanks for your comment and like! Appreciate it and happy to help out a fellow traveler
This is NOT a AD...
but a suggestion. Wally World (lol) dba.. Walmart has 4 or 5 Prepaid sim cards, and some of the other BIGGY department stores! Ebay and others, online have many choices, for you to get sim cards to your place UR temp... staying!
And if you use Brave browser, phone or other, to browse for a prepaid sim card deals... and just tick the "anonymous" link on the bottom right of each listing, and not tracking or date for sign ups!
All in all.... I like the idea of a eSIM, the most, wish they had them years again when I lived in 4 other countries, for over 3 years, other than the USA!
Yeah but for most tourist it takes an expensive taxi ride to even get to Walmart just for buying a sim card. And tourists have no time for that, they only may be have a couple days in USA and dont want to waste their precious time saving $10 dollar! E-sim is def the way to go
@@TravelTomTom Thanks for the REPLY.... and UB right...
except the ESim I get... is $15 / mo. bought in 180 days at a time. with Unlimited talk n text, and 6GB Data....
and I don't STAY anywhere, in less time than 180 Days...than I move on! LOL! SO... Yep. . . UB right in your situation, and most "short stayers, and EyeB right for my long stay....situations!
Tmobile prices have now changed for prepaid the cheapest unlimited data plan is $50
Thanks a lot for the additional info
Went to T-Mobile yesterday and the cheapest plan they had was $15 for 3GB plus a $25 activation fee plus tax. 😒
Yes buying a prepaid sim card in the USA is useless, get an esim. See link in description
You didn't consider the low cost virtual operatoria(MVNO) I know that some (like TELLO) don't have physical stores but they ship you the sim. are there low cost operators that have stores?
@6:42 esim cards are a physical part of certain higher end cell phones. Not all cell phones have esim cards. So make sure you research before you buy your next phone
Yes very true. Only smartphones from the last 3 years or so can handle e-sim
@@TravelTomTom Actually only selected cell phones within the last 3 years have esim built inside. That's why I said to make sure you do research before you buy your next phone. It may NOT have a Sim in it even if it is a new model.
The hell it's so expensive. I'm from Philippines and some people like me use gomo sim. I was checking my spending on my sim card because I was loading up on mobile data credits. So far I've spend $38 on today's conversion and that 2021-2022 total spendings. Gomo can let you convert data for call or text if you need one. Only works for local tho. No land-line or international calls. So far I have 135gb of data. My mobile data speed is 10mbps uploads 70mbps downloads. And $8 for unli data during their limited promos.
Has any one ever bought The mobile prepaid sim card on Amazon? Many reviews say its a scam, it doesn't work at all actually.
Thanks this very helpful
thanks for the info it save my time
I am happy I was being able to help
I still like to use my own huawei mobile wifi hotspot. And therefore I need a physical prepaid SIM card. When you find one (which is already expensive) they limit the hotspot usage. Redicolous!
Some way better options online, mint, visible
Excellent vid tomtom, answer my ques.. Thx 👍
In Poland I pay 23.5USD for 3 sim cards with unlimited plan with 10GB data + 4th sim with 100gb data. USA prices are sooo high.
Thanks for the video! We are travelling to Texas in the Spring and we are planning to buy a prepaid sim card for our 1 week visit. Is it easy to activate the prepaid sim card after you have bought it or do I have to do something?

Great guy great vlogs
does anyone know if the stores take cash or is it card-only?
In the US stores take cash and card
Thanks amigo
Bro is an online app that can be used to buy a US SIM card in India
Love from India
Love back! Always missing India
I would like to buy just the simcard without the plan, no need to activate it, how much is it without plan?
60$ for unli data is better
Good job
Thanks! Makes me smile
Very informative! Regarding T Mobile, is their $60 unlimited SIM card also valid for one month like the AT&T one?
Yes, the T-Mobile prepaid packages are also valid for 1 month!
@@TravelTomTom thanks mate! Will be in the US later this month. So excited!
Does the cost depends on the city or state you bought it?
Hi. Thanks for the amazing video. I have an upcoming trip to the US. Can I buy a prepaid sim in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport? coz that's my point of entry to the US.
Bro you can't say buying a SIM card in 2023 when you posted this in March 2022
If I buy one of these SIM cards, when I return to my country (Canada) can I still use the phone number for WhatsApp? Or the SIM card doesn’t have a number assigned?
Yes 100% you can! Data and calling credit is also valid in Canada
Can we use for tetring if we buy unlimited data from Tmobile tom?
I am traveling outside the US to Italy. I asked about a sims card for my prepaid phone at several AT&T locations. They said they only had postpaid and didn't seem to know anything about getting a sims card particularly for Italy. I showed them the At&T webpage for prepaid accounts and it stated that I need a AT&T sims card for Italy that begins with 8901-410. It looked like the guy was just learning about this. He went in the back and brought a sims card and said that is all they had and that it wouldn't work. My service is with AT&T and locked until 6 months are up. What else can I do to get service in Italy? Will an E-sim work for me?
Hi bro, thanks for the video but i would like to get American SIM card to use on Tiktok so that i get views and likes from USA, how can i get that SIM card when am in France and which sim card will for me better
Haha. Smart move but I am afraid you have to fly to the USA to get a physical prepaid sim card with a US number
@@TravelTomTom I got it from Amazon and some how it works but struggling 🤣🤣
What about walmart family mobile? Is there activation fee?
What is the cheapest unlimited prepaid simcard for tourist to buy? Thanks 🙏
The most compatible and cheapest is metro by T-mobile. Only the flanker brands of big 3 and the big 3 offer real unlimited. Tello will be the cheapest that works on all phones but is only 25gb for 29 dollars plus tax.
I'll stay 4 months in U.S.A. what should i buy? Thanks
Can i use this on a cruiseship in miami
Am I in 2026 now?
i just purchase one online
That is the most easy and fastest way
Someone told me you can have issues after leaving the USA because AT&T record your IMIE number? Any idea what that's all about?
Yes it is true, AT&T and Verizon have a whitelist google AT&T whitelist should be a pdf if using a roaming esim the list does not count. Yes all 3 operators do record your imei. For trails and stuff.
The only plans available on the esims are data plans
That is what e-sims are like when you buy them online
@@TravelTomTom Thank you
What prepaid sim card option would you recommend for someone traveling to US from europe in few weeks? And what amount of data is enough if you only use safari and google maps on a 5-6 day trip?
See the video for my recommendation or the link in description for more detailed info
Hi, good question - all I learned tht buying an international SIM card is the best option for the USA. However, why is traveltomtom visting the shops of T-Mobile and AT&T then? Kind of confused here. Thanks for the effort anyway.
Plus: When I am abroud I like to call my people at home in Europe by means of a voice call. Unfortunately, I did not find the Information I was looking for in the Video. Thanks anyway.
T mobile Takes 10$ for each SIM cards ..
Is it working with an unlock huawei pocket wifi?
Should be

what about Verizon?
They dont have prepaid sim cards for tourists. See link in description
You left out Verizon
Can i pay with cash?
Yes
Ay no cómo así Ami me salió más barata en Colombia
😅
Can I buy a American SIM card from China? Can it receive messages in China?
See the links in description. There you can order a sim card for USA online and get it shipped to your home address. It lists the countries where it works
Hi did you order it bc I want to as well I live in France and I want a us SIM card which one is the best
-Mobile, Visible (Verizon MVNO), and US Mobile (Verizon MVNO) all offer free trial eSIMs, so you could pay nothing and get free data in the US.
does Verizon support esim/sim? I thought Verizon is CDMA only network and they use special phones without sim card.
also Sprint isn't GSM compatible network.
@@andrewITstyle Yes they do.
@@davidempire4874 Does it use the same 5G band as T-mobile and AT&T?
@@andrewITstyle No. They all use different ones but in general, all unlocked phones will be compatible with all the bands.
Just use wifi.
what an absolute waste of a comment.

Thanks for mentioning that the prices for phone plans in the US are ridiculously high. But what can you do. If you want to go to the States, you have to suffer.

Love your video! Me, my wife & our 2 teenagers will be travelling to NY next month for 3 weeks. All 4 of us do have unlocked iPhone 13's. I've done some research and seems T-Mobile e-sims are the way to go with the $50 plan that gives you unlimited data and calls? Do you know if I can activate the e-sims and data plans a day before I leave Cape Town, South Africa so that everything will just work when we get off the plane at JFK?
Very helpful video, thank you!
You're welcome!
Damn man, you tall asf
Thank you Travel TomTom! You gave me a pretty good idea of what to expect as I will be visiting NYC soon. Do T-Mobile offer eSIM for their tourist prepaid packages? Thank you once again!
Yes they do. You can get it in their stores.
@@TravelTomTom thank you sir! I am in the states now and all is well 😍
Hello, Sir I have a question please reply me.
My Tiktok account is created with Pakistan number. And the audience on my account is also 500k. But I want to make this account viral in the United States. If I buy a US SIM Card and install it in my mobile, and I have to login to the account which is created on the number of Pakistan. Will my newly uploaded video go viral in the United States?
Thanks, what about these SIM cards you buy at the airports machines, do they also need registration, how is that done?
Yes after inserting you need to go to their website and register
Thanks for the info 😊. God bless❤️
Welcome! See for more details and up to date prices the link in description!
Thnks for detailed bro
Always welcome
I'm from Canada so I'm wondering when I buy those in the USA am I able to call Canada unlimited and text?
Thanks for the info. I called TMobile and additionally discovered that their prepaid data plan is SIM card based only (not possible with ESIM). I thought I'd try to find an "ESIM card" for my Moto G30 (a shot in the dark) but the guy at a Milwaukee store (where I land) said that even if I found an ESIM card I would need to install their SIM for the prepaid data plan - not a problem because the G30 is a dual card phone - but a bummer because I need to get to their store after I arrive. Still, glad to see things are getting easier and look forward to ESIM services.
What about Verizon and Sprint?
Which states is that that you are filming
Hi, would the the T-Mobile unlimited also work for Canada? I'm travelling to both countries
No it is a five dollar add-on but it is only 5gb can be used in Mexico and Canada same for metro by t-mobile.
Good video
Thank you
