thanks for posting,my dad lived across from the Anglican, they used the catacombs as a shelter........when they came out, after a raid the house next door to them was gone, and many others. After that he was evacuated with his 2 brothers to Wales........but him and his older brother who were housed together, didn't like it and decided to run away back home ( he was 7) he's 83 now and we've been having a laugh at what he used to get up to.

It was Hard! We need to Salute our Old folks: The dragged us up as best they could.
    What a mess it was!
On the same token. (I know - talk crazy) It was the values and indoctrinisation that brought us to 2015!
Now we're going to pay for our sleepy nature with a big BOO!

My genesis; my birth channel Amazing, we took those days for granted and it never occurred to us that things were going to change beyond all recognition in Liverpool. There will never again be a music epoch like it. Why! Because you don't get song writing talent or delivery like it. Much of the human touch remains thankfully. It was unique to Liverpool.
I 'illustrated' it all in my poetry books, Believin' of Liverpool and the earlier published, A Sea Veneer of Merseyside. The 3,000 copies sold out in a few weeks. I have the fondest memories. I wonder what memories later generations will have?
Never mind. I retired to Spain. Cy Tucker, Ruby Murray's husband is here. Pat Cordwell visited regularly before she passed on. Eric (Ricky) Tomlinson has a place in Benidorm. My claim to fame was my poetry. Here is a video poem inspired by a Liverpool (Bootle) teenage girlfriend I dated in the 60s. Thanks for 'listening'. Love to you all. Michael (Mike) Walsh (poetry).

A good and interesting film--spoiled somewhat, by loud intrusive 'music'.
