I’m always blown away by Tim’s photographic memory. Watchbox has the dream team right here Tim & Jack = #GODTIER
Michel Navas has quietly proven over the past two decades to be one of the most original and brilliant watchmakers in the history of horology. Ironically, his humility and contentment to work behind the limelight has contributed to a lack of proper recognition in high horology circles. Thank you Tim, Jack, and Watchbox for finally interviewing this watchmaking genius!
Omg, listening at Tim talk about a piece is simply majestic. I feeel I’m listening to a superlative cerebrum.
Thank you guys for your excellent work. You represent the pinacle of watch content and knowledge.
Great content! Thanks Watchbox to raise the bar in every video 👍
Tim’s questions were more impressive than many of the answers, lol. Another award due: most handsome Watch Director😎
Thought the same .
Much appreciated discussion. IMHO this is a unique entree to a level of watchmaking few are ever privileged to see…and after being exposed to it, even fewer who can appreciate the level of expertise, coordination, and effort involved regardless of whether this is an aesthetic that speaks to you.
I enjoyed the conversation. Engineering and craftsmanship coming together.
Great to see & learn that LV is seriously involved in watchmaking. I only dread the cost & wait of maintenance and servicing such complicated watches when required.
Great interview.
Thanks for sharing.
Wow, time to look deeper at LV watch making. I had no idea the brand was this deep into watch making
This was a great show I'm impressed with Jean Arnault & Louis Vuitton watches . What watch was he wearing.
Great video
Tres bon! Magnifique Horlogerie.
This guy went to the hardest university IN THE WORLD for mechanical engineering where you can't pull strings for admission & nothing else except exam marks are considered for entry. The complete package. Humble & not an eyesore
Agree , I'm impressed & seems like a fine young man .
Jean Arnault and Tim Mosso are a perfect duo,I think that Tim Mosso could represent LVMH watch brands for the American market
can you please next time do an interview with his brother frederic arnault? hope he giving details about the newest tag heuer watches
Tim’s the GOAT! That watch is amazing! Though it reminds me of Lucha Libre for some reason….

This is why I genuinely love Laurent Ferrier. People bad mouth him because he didn't make his own movements, well as we've seen, it is akin to having dufour making your movement.
Louis Vuitton will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming decades. Already some epic halo pieces.
Tim your linguistic skills are remarkable. You’re ability to describe a watch feels scripted and yet so natural. 👏🏼👏🏼
A significant beep on my radar
This piece shows middle finger to Jacob & co😂
We love nepo babies in the watch world
His background is his daddy.
Thanks to this formula, Zenith is being destroyed, too.
He does have a degree in computational-financial mathematics from MIT, so I'm guessing daddy or not, he's pretty smart.
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviewsgetting into MIT when your father is one of the richest men in the world isn’t the flex you think it is.
@@golfinguru11 *Graduating* with that degree is another matter. I'm an idiot with a political science degree, and I respect Jean for taking the hard road.
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews Don’t knock the liberal arts - learning how to learn is underrated. As for the degree, it’s common policy to push everyone through at elite schools. MIT has a 96% graduation rate (perhaps the only time an Arnault will be part of any 96% lol)
With the amount of money & influence his family has I'm impressed with what he's done , he could have taken the easy way & sat back and done nothing.
😊
Jack’s face is like I can’t believe they have me at LV talking about horology. 😂😂
I don't like what they did to the brands they control and they should leave the industry alone.
What a shame, summum of nepotism & greed.
Fashion watch or better ?
Today's LV watches are too much bling for my taste. I bought a Tambour Damier GMT in 2012 and it's been a great watch.
That is a very good brand. Great talk look at barstool trying to make a watch brand. It is horrible mistake Dave made. NEAL APOLLO BEACH FLORIDA
Is there anybody out there that cares about LV watches, other than the expected LV customer, that buy a LV, just to say “it’s a real Louis Vuitton!!!”?
So Gaudy , Tacky and Vulgar.
But very much an East Asian aesthetic. Overall, LV's design aesthetic leans towards the Baroque, which is very much also in the European design mainstream. If you're looking for a minimalist look, buy a Nomos.
@@davidc5191 Didn't know that was LV's design language , thanks for the insight. I'm actually not fond of the minimalist look but this is just too much for me
They stole a page from Jacob and co.
The Chinese market doesn't flow with money as it used to I see it in Chinese art/antiques values, the watch market overall is still in great shape but I don't think the Asian markets will sustain that kind of gaudy overpriced BS.
@@davidc5191 well, as if all Asians had very bad taste. That's kinda racist lol 😂
Jean décrit toujours l'horlogerie comme un terrier de lapin dans toutes ses interviews.
Jean always describes watchmaking as a rabbit hole in all of his interviews.
I have two problems with this brand: 1) Why would they place the name of the brand, in huge letter types, in the strap? Do I need people to know I am wearing a Vuitton? I think this is a huge mistake from a aesthetic point of view. 2) This one is more serious: The brand offers some 6K watches with quartz movements!!!!! Everyone knows that quartz movements are mostly used in watches to be discarded after a few years of use; most respectable brands have their quartz watches priced humbly, below 1.5 K. If I am going to pay 6K for a watch, I expect a nice mechanical movement with some complications. That's probably the reason why this brand remains as a fashion brand rather than a serious horology brand.
@Dr_That Just Cartier probably, Dr. Jackass. The brands you mention are on a different range.
@Dr_That Cartier Santos, at 6K, is automatic. You are not a novice, you are a fool.
That's how you become a Billionaire.
Funny how that Tim and Jack know more about the watch than Arnault....
I'll pass on the nepo baby. Just Tim, Jack, and Michel talking would've made an infinitely better video.
Hideous watches
"Ended up figuring out it wasn't the path that was driving me the most." He means he didnt want to work his way up, and his Daddy couldnt make him CEO of F1 after 3 weeks...
also, why do almost all watch fan males have girl hands. Is it a real that you can't be athletic and like watches?
and "No"...."I'm a cyclist" doesn't mean you are an athlete. Vast majority of "cyclists" are elitist types who didn't play "real sports".
those are the ugliest watches i've ever seen. what is this obsession with evil and death?
