At first I thought Jean Arnault was only there because of his dad. But now I realize why he is there, he earned my respect because with every product he launches it is full of details and always respects what customers/collectors would like or want.
LV moving in the right direction. Tough category to crack in that ~$19k price range but the ingredients are there. The movement looks really impressive. I like that the "louis vuitton" is far more subtle than with past cases.
I’ve been keeping my eye on what he’s doing with LV watches the last couple years and I have to say I’m intrigued. He’s obviously very thoughtful and takes great care when it comes to design.
So much coverage of this watch. Jean seems legitimately passionate about watches. It is unfortunate how quickly this will disappear from anyones radar considering he keeps reinforcing how few there will be. Vanish
I really like it, nice design, well thought, however I don’t believe the movement has the reputation to justify that price. The price is highly based on the brand.
I think they have rushed the relaunch by announcing just one variant , they would have been taken more seriously if it was a full collection may be adding a chronograph and a tourbillon , an annual calendar.
They took the decision not to launch any additional complications, even later. There won’t be (at least according to what LV says) other variations of this watch.

Is it just me but are these just a bit boring. Great movement and no doubt great finishing but just feel a bit played out.

The extra 9 or 10 k someone will pay for this watch will be for all the advertising it has been getting.
