- This video reviews a beautiful, unique, pineapple ukulele by Fesley! It is made of laminate Tam ash and has a beautiful, yet subdued wood grain. The off-set soundhole and side soundhole really this apart from the crowd.

Nice wood grain pattern and I like the timber too. Needs a bit of action adjustment obviously.
Thank you for your review, we will have more products in the near future and hope you will enjoy them!😊
Thanks! I really liked this instrument! I would happy to review more!
I really like that finish. I hadn't heard of Fesley either but this seems like a good value. Maybe you said it during the video and I missed it, but what's the scale? I know most pineapple ukes are sopranos but that one looks like it might be a concert.
This one is concert scale. I really like the grain pattern. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love a good pineapple, thanks for sharing! Gonna hold off on this one until they fix some issues.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the review. Curious about that brand and model. It has a nice plucky sound and its own look, a nice look. They were stocking several veneer choices too.
But looking at your array of hand made “cigar box” guitars, would you be interested in showing and demonstrating a variety of them? So individual and unique looking I am curious about the sound and playing differences too. 🤓
Hi Jeff, I have done videos on all of the CBGs you see in the background. Check the out! This is the link to my CBG build (mine and those I have received in swaps) playlist: ruclips.net/video/o5vc03qdzyM/видео.html Thanks for watching and commenting!
I guess you can't go wrong with 2 holes on a ukulele. Then again, I've seen acoustic guitars and acoustic basses with 2 holes at a Sam Ash at my area.
I like the side sound ports! I did a video that compared an instrument with the side port open and closed. I think it makes a difference for the player! Check it out! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Steve - Thank you for the review. I would keep the uke, too, and simply shim the nut as you said. What is your favorite method for dealing with sharp frets? Thank you. Rick
Thanks Rick!
Pineapple shape ukulele. Nice. Does it come in bigger size ??
Sadly, no. Their pineapple-shaped ukuleles only come in the concert scale! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Don't need to glue a shim. Just fold over a paper strip, or two, to use as shims. You could loosen the strings and slide a bible or similar under the strings and toward the saddle until it can be removed.
That could work too. The benefits of gluing the hardwood shim the the saddle, in theory, is to improve the transfer of energy to the the saddle. I’m practice, it might not make a difference. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@stevesstrings5243 One theory is the glue actually has the opposite effect.
@@stoneyrunva I would agree with that if you use white glue but CA glue (supper glue) saturates the wood fibers and is very hard. That’s why people use it with baking soda or bone dust to fill string slots in nuts that have worn deeper. I have done both ways and I’m sticking with glued shims.
Would be concern on the up swing for that off set hole. Ash has alot of high tremble in the sound. Just saying for my old ears..
