Franz's first two albums were fantastic, my favorite being the Second with songs like "What you Meant and "That was easy" but this third album, like all their albums just grow on you the more you listen. Then you pick up on little instrumentation and fills you did not notice at first. They are a great band, for just being that, a band.
FF always had these little hidden solos in their songs and I hoped that one day they will make a song with a "proper" solo, so I was glad to hear this :D
I listened to it during a TV series scene! I've also listened to can't stop feeling and ulysses during the same series! The producers have some great taste in music!
Tonight is a lot like Franz Ferdinand the band: glimpses of brilliance, but never enough consistency to be one of the all-time greats. (But this song is one of those glimpses of brilliance!)

I hear these voices in my head people from my hometown talking about politics and labeling all these people with PTSD because of politics. Yeah I know who Bill is. Is he a doctor too from my hometown (Hays, KS)? I think he went into the US Army too as an officer and hes a doctor in my hometown. He met these others in my old unit who are officers talking about politics. I don't think Bill has PTSD either but you guys in that group need to chill out about politics. So the community is probably screwing him over saying he has PTSD when he doesn't have it. Bill is talking to Joe Hallet who was my Platoon Leader in the US Army. Joe Hallet got screwed over by Nebraska about politics too. Im not like these two Im a nice guy about this but all of these officers need to chill out about politics. I have nothing against Bill I haven't seen him since when... elementary school? Bill sees what Im talking about too? *You have to be a nice guy about this yeah society is screwed up like that. It was already screwed up before you went into the US Army as an officer. Those COMBAT MOS types (officers and high ranking NCOs like Sergeant Majors) are going to be a dick about this and talk about politics why society is falling apart.*
