Where is the LOVE button. With a lovely grandchild with curls and a love for the beach who knows! I may pull this one off with your help. And yes...A BOY!
How did you get those curls looking like a sponge: love your video
Giving this one "a go" x3 with alterations for each of my children as "mothers day" gifts for my mom and MIL. 2 boys and one girl, right proud of my sketch with the skirt if I do say so myself. Can't wait to get to the finishes product. 😊 thanks so much for your tutorials!
A happy looking chap, thanks for sharing!
I love this! (I, too, missed your half time tipple.) Nice touch with the Great Wave on your tee.
Yay, thank you!
Thanks again Paul you never disappoint 😊
My pleasure!l
A lovely scene Paul and as ever so skilfully painted
Fantastic! Must try this one. Thank you, Paul x
You’re welcome 😊
I think this was meant for me!! Thank you again
Brilliant thank you Paul
My pleasure!
Paul. You are an inspiration.
Thanks Sue!
love love love the shirt!
I absolutely love this painting. I have a picture of my 6 grandkids, happen to be all boys, walking on the beach. This will help tremendously. Thanks!
Sounds great!
WOW!!! Thanks so much, dear Paul!!!!!
My pleasure!!
Amazing! This little man looks ready for anything. Tears are pricking my eyes as I am sending all my love to my own son, a lovely 18 yo with autism who as he phoned home today, full of calm and joy, was sitting astride the bowsprit of Bel Espoir II, lying at anchor in Molène. My thoughts are with all the parents and grandparents of sea-loving children.
Lovely comment, thanks so much 😍
😊😊😊😊
Thank you Paul, lovely painting, i'm going to look through some old photo's of my children playing in the sea at Weston Super Mare :)
Sounds great!
I absolutely love this! We are expecting a new grandson in Dec & they live near the beach. This would be an amazing gift for them. Pray I can make it as pretty as yours!!
Wonderful! - sounds great!
So amazing
Cheers!
What a coincidence! Weeks or months ago I downloaded the same photo taken by max goncherov from unsplash, because I wanted to paint it. But I didn't dare because I didn't know where to start. Now I see yours, Paul, and now I will give it a go !! Thank you so much for this inspiration!!
Lol!!! ..... great minds!....
That is simply gorgeous
Really lovely!
Thank you! Cheers!

This painting is so reminiscent of childhood holidays in Great Yarmouth. I couldn’t wait to paint this one. Thanks again, (Dave).
Cheers Dave!
Love it. Going to try it with my grand kids . thanks for painting it.
As always Paul a joy to watch👌the wet in wet of the trousers and the folds end up in the right place.🤷♀️thank you .
Glad you enjoyed it
Good afternoon, dear Paul! Amazing lesson. I could feel the wind in boy's hair and cloths, smell of sea air. I guess all of us who have little children (grandkids) will run to paint this lovely scene in this summer season. Again you prepared a great tutorial, mentioning all details, tips and tricks. Have a nice day, greetings from Moldova. Lilia Birnaz
Wonderful! thanks Lilia!!
Ahhh yes! ❤
What a lovely picture, and nice easy step by step guide. Thank you Paul, fancy you forgetting your half time tipple!!
Glad it was helpful! - I made up for it later!!!
Such a beautiful painting. Joy and movement. Thank you for another Wonderful Watercoloir Wednesday
Thank you so much 😀
This little boy reminds me of my sister’s son. His hair was so thick and curly she refused to cut it for 3 years. He sometimes was mistaken for a girl. Lol. I really love this painting and I might “give it a go” It would be perfect for my area as we have beautiful beaches. No grandkids yet for me. I don’t think my own kids are quite grown up even though they are technically adults. But hey, who wants to grow up? Let’s all go to the beach and paint. 🖌️🖼️🎨🌊🏖️☀️ (using lots of emojis just for Adela!) lol 😂❤😘 Plus I think it’s world emoji day coming up. 🌎🌍🌏Have a blessed day Paul and Margot! 🙏🏻❤️🥰
Lol!!! thanks Jacquline - yes you and Adela are emoji queens!!!
@@ArtbyPaulClark 🤣🤣🤣
Hello Jacqueline and good day to you and your family! I am very glad that you mentioned me about emoticons. Lol! I am very emotional and impressionable! But I have no grandchildren, because I have no children and never had a husband, I have been living alone for a long time. I am used to being alone and only painting and needlework: sewing, knitting, embroidery brings me joy, especially drawing.Small children are similar to each other, sometimes you can’t distinguish between a child, a boy or a girl! Lol! But I’m still glad that thanks to Paul’s channel I find friends and am very grateful to him!We are getting cold + 17 ° С and a strong wind. Rainfall at night and during the day. They flooded the entire hacienda, the whole land under water and the greenhouse. Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants died .... A strong hurricane with a thunderstorm and thunder was at night! We were afraid!
@@ArtbyPaulClark Queens??? Oooooo Paul, thank you for the compliment!!! You are our king👑🤴, lord, we are slaves🧎♀️🧎♀️🧕👳😩😩....listen and obey...🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😅
@@adelabadova3105 sorry to hear about your storm and losing the veggies. We get days and days of storms here. I think we are used to it. Everyday. I’m glad you are emotional. It’s better than no emotions at all. You are fun and encouraging. It’s always a joy to see your posts. Much love to you! ❤️🙏🏻Blessings from Alabama.
We are so lucky to live 300 yards from beautiful beaches here at cullercoats. As I try this one it will bring back the many happy times spent with our now 10 year old grandson. Thank you for a lovely tutorial.
Andy
Great to hear Andy!
It's so wonderful and full of sea air! I will definitely try to paint this.
Sending warm greetings and best wishes from Ukraine
Thank you so much 😀
What a joy to wake up to another wonderful lesson, it’s not easy to keep up with a Master. Thanks again Paul, let’s see what your new brush set can do. Norma
A wonderful demo, I especially appreciated that we got to see your palette. I’m struggling with consistency so it was helpful to see your glazes.
Glad it was helpful!
I love this video tutorial. It was a pleasure to paint. I would like to watch and paint more videos like this. With people of any gender and age. Thanks Paul.

Well Paul I finally finished my painting of this boy on the beach! It took me much longer than two hours but for teaching myself online by watching various artists and replaying a number of times I think I did okay! Thanks for explaining so well!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I have a picture of my daughter first time in the ocean in Florida. This was 50 years ago. I’m going to paint her using your help with all the details of a very good watercolor picture.

Yet another wonderful painting. Nice break from landscapes. Very much like it. Thank you

Fabulous painting, please do something like this in Leisure Painter, I would love to follow this in the magazine. Thank you Paul.
Great suggestion!
My favourite tutorial so far and there have been many wonderful tutorials. Thank you Paul.
You're very welcome
Hello Paul! What a lovely summer scene. I have a photo of our now 22-year-old daughter that I took of her frolicking on the beach in Malibu, CA when she was 3 or 4. She’s off to college again next month-that would make a nice gift for her and I thank you for the guidance ❤
That's a great idea! - have fun!
Magnificent - happy valentines's day
Same to you!
Lovely summer picture.
Thank you! Cheers!
I really enjoyed this. You really gave some great instructions for shadows and shading. Thank you for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your time as always and for your teaching and instruction!! Just finsihed the painting of the cafe on the river Rhine - I am always challenged by perspective so always a shock when you hear your instructor may have things that challenge them!! Thank you!! :0)
Wonderful! - thanks Janell!
Hello , how are you ? I'm from Iran. I like your paintings very much . I learned a lot from you . Thank you ☺️🫶🏻😁
Hi there and thank you to - great to hear from you in Iran!
@@ArtbyPaulClark ☺️🫶🏻 Actually, I had a question. Do you also do oil painting?
What a tutorial!! In my opinion this is the one that hit me as "YES! that is the style I want to paint..." Thank you! Your hints and explanation of the shadows as you go along is so helpful. This painting is my favorite of ALL your tutorials (so far). It just speaks to me. Would love for you to come to the USA on a teaching holiday one day!
Yes! He needs to come to the US! ❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hiya - yes - working on a plan - perhaps 4 locations hopefully in 2024! 🇺🇸

Great to hear! - many thanks!!!
Oooo heck. We'll, I have to give it a go and hope to get something close 😅
Have fun!
Short, but oh so sweet! Watching magic first thing in the morning makes me feel all is right with the world! Thank you Paul! You make it look effortless!❤
Thank you for this tutorial. You were our featured artist in watercolor class here in Brentwood, California.
You are so welcome and that’s so nice to hear 😁
Thankyou Paul for another amazing tutorial. Can’t wait to give it a try . Love how you explain everything in detail …… really makes a difference….
Awesome, thank you!
My mediums have been pencil, pastel, and oil. Just now taking up watercolors. I love your videos. Great instruction, nice music, and you are a gifted artist. So far, your channel is my favorite. I appreciate you, Paul!
Such a wonderful painting! Love how you painted those waves and the seas. Thanks for that description of shadows. Shadows are darker shades of the objects they are reflecting. Going to the beach isn't so much fun as it was in the old time days but this painting inspires to go back. Thank you so much for this magnificent work of art.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for this nice Video!
I'm from germany...it is a very good learning Video !
I am in love with this little boy! And the way you did the sea, awesome!!
Thank you very much!
I love how you always fit with your painting….😂😂😂😂You are one of a kind! And I adooore this painting, can’t wait to give it a try! Thank you so much again for sharing your immense talent with us! 😊🙏🖼️🪄💐
Thank you so much 😀
This looks like lots of fun. I'm off grid for the next four days so I hope to try it again later next week.
Have fun!
Love the tutorial. Reminds me of two paintings I did in a watercolor workshop years ago. I did a large and small painting of a child on the beach.
Sounds great Nancy!
I draw and paint using all kinds of mediums, but whenever I get the itch to go back to watercolors, I can always count on inspiring videos from Mr. Clark! I have been following you since you started this channel and am always inspired after watching. Thank you :D
Thanks for sharing D
Good morning 🌮🥪🧀🍔🍳🍵☕🥛🍶dear Paul! Always glad to see you in your small cozy studio, like at home! Every time I see you and get excited. Over the years I got used to your lessons and especially to you, to your phrases : "welcome to my studio" and "step by step together", to see your shirts 🎽👕👚🧥 new each time according to the topic of the lesson. Like 👍 always wish you good luck and prosperity to the channel and health! Bye....bye dear.....🌹🌹🌹♥️♥️♥️👑🎨🖼️✍️🖌️🖍️✏️📝
Thank you Adela and have a great day!!!
Ohh wow with this week’s tutorial. This looks gorgeous & like I might be able to do. It also looks a lot like my youngest grandson from behind too. You have got a wonderful way of teaching to make it look easy to do or at least try to give it a go! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video & enjoy your week. Hopefully it not too hot for you & Margot as it is here across the pond. It’s 76 degrees Fahrenheit (24.4 degrees Celsius) at 6:30 am already with expected heat advisory of 109 degrees Fahrenheit (42.7 degrees Celsius). Always an added challenge with our humidity & heat in Mississippi. 😉💕
Cheers Colleen - We are lucky, UK is fairly mild at present - yes we've heard southern Europe and the US is stifling at the mo - keep cool, sounds like a Gin and Tonic is required!
Amazing, marvellous painting
Thank you so much 😀
That is the cutest picture an you made it look so easy, lots of talent
Thank you so much 😀
Paul, have you ever thought of posting full length tutorials with no speed ups on patreon? I love watching you paint in real time ❤
Fantastic as always! Love taking in one of your tutorials while I eat my lunch. I really need to watch with paper and brush in hand since I seem to forget once I get to painting. Made a small donation to cover a "tad" of the invaluable instruction you provide. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you Holly that’s very generous of you 😁👍
Beautiful painting! Very helpful, I did a watercolor of my grandchildren and I felt like I botched the painting. Now I can see the improvements I should do. Thank you Paul!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much-an exceptionally helpful tutorial.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bonjour Paul, une belle aquarelle a peindre. Je commence des ce soir🖌🎨. Merci 😊👋
Merci Florence!
Simply, Great !
Glad you like it!
Another fabulous tutorial Paul 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Simply the best watercolor teacher on RUclips, by far! Thank you so much for being here!
Wow, thank you! 😁👍
Paul. I am a 79 year old retired school bus driver. I have always used acrylic paint because of the fear of watercolor! I have attempted two of your paintings. The little boy and the two people walking with the umbrellas. I am just thrilled with how they came out. Thank you so very much for the excellent way that you teach. I am so excited to try another. 🥰 Please keep those videos coming.
Thanks for sharing and delighted to help!
Woooooo😮😮😮😮 bellicimo como todos sus hermosos trabajos 👏👏👏👏
Thank youuuuuuuuu!!!!
Thank you Paul. You make it look so easy and yet so much feeling go into your paintings. I do look forward to your videos because they all have a „“you can do it Spirit about them.“ Thank you again.
You are very welcome
I learn something new and wonderful with each of your videos, Paul. This one is special because it reminds me of a wonderful man who was a boy who looked like this about 30 years ago! Thank you.
Many thanks! ... very happy to help!
