I had my doubts about Sonic Mania, but damn was I wrong. I've been loving every second of it and hope now that it's out on Steam everyone can enjoy it. The music is absolutely steller and I had a really fun time trying to wrap my head around how to put it on the guitar.
Now I know this is the second time I've done Green Hill (*3rd time) and Chemical Plant but when I was deciding how I wanted to do a medley for this, I figured what better way to tribute all the amazing music than try to play every single zone in one go! Of course I couldn't do all 24 songs so I had to pick the ones I thought would sound best on guitar (and some just to appeal to my favorites, of course). I hope you guys liked the choices and hope your favorite zone acts didn't get left out, it was really hard getting 12 songs into a medley as it is!
This medley was SLAMMED in just about 5 days! It was probably the most intensely I've ever worked on a medley since it's so relentless and I had to get it done before travelling. Hope I didn't make any stupid mistakes throwing this together before PAX West! I hope I got to see all of you guys who went and I hope you guys enjoy the medley!

You nailed every song. The Oil Ocean is my favourite! You did an amazing job with it. You absolutely killed the Studiopolis and Press Garden. You perfectly captured the speed of Flying Battery. I enjoyed singing HUEs along with your Stardust Speedway! Your ocarina-style Mirage Saloon will stand out as the most unique. Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Hydrocity and Lava Reef strummed my nostalgia strings....pun intended. You truly put the 'Metal' in Metallic Madness...PUN INTENDED! And finally, I can go to sleep tonight knowing that nobody will ever cover Titanic Monarch better than this. Absolutely sensational!

I loved the transition from Green Hill Zone to Chemical Plant Zone. It was pretty great.

I had actually just commented on your 2013 or 2014 version of chemical plant and how for some reason it didn't hit that pleasure center of my brain quite like I thought it would. Hearing a little snippet of Chemical Plant here, I definitely felt it. I've always loved your stuff, and will never cease to be amazed when I hear a nostalgic work you have covered.

no shit, you know thew thing that makes his medleys so good?it's not the harmonies, or the chops (which are damn good) it's the TIMING, the thing he does that makes his stuff work so much better than the other metal video game guys is that he actually understands and has exceptional timing and groove.

Tbh before mania I'd have to say sonic CD was my top fave sonic game with sonic the fighters as a close second, especially in terms of music. Speaking of which, I'm a little surprised you have yet to do a cover of egg core stage in that game.Anyway, amazing job as always, hopes you has a gud lyf.
