#Nintendo #SuperFamicom #SNES
I like to think this notch explains the dead pixel in the Super Mario World logo
That’s a cute connection
There’s two variants of the original super famicom controller (to my knowledge) one with text printed L and R triggers, and the other with ingraved L and R triggers.
Thanks for letting me know of the notch... 😢
The Notch is an alignment thingy it makes it easier to glue that part (Yes it is glued).
In Ireland, it was the Super Nintendo - but we had the 4 colour buttons...
yeah europe and australia use the coloured buttons but the super nintendo name
Whether it's the US or International version, one thing is always the same: My brain thinks the buttons are spree and wants to eat them.
OK, now I need to get that Wii SFC controller just for the engraved wii logo on the back.
Also, Ashens would be proud.
I think it's the same as the SFamicom mini controllers (but without the Wii logo).
I was close. I thought the Jr. was the PAL SNES controller and the Wii one was technically a SFC Mini version.
I have the European SNES Classic. It has the Super Famicom shape and colors (console and controller), but it's still called Super Nintendo.
Woa. You brought back the old previews for annotations in your own cool way.
Dammit you’re right now I can’t unsee it-
I can’t see it at all, I’m so confused 😂 Edit: nevermind, I finally saw it!
Urple and Light Urple.
I see you are missing a PAL controller :-)
FYI: We had a mix of the US and Japanese ones:
- SNES logo in black, not grey
- Button fonts matching the japanese
- Green, blue, red and yellow buttons
- Longer cable
The American SNES is so ugly, I’m glad we got a system that was more like the Super Famicom.
@DissociatedWomenIncorporated As an American, I wish we got the original style as well. Sometimes I feel like the US alters stuff just for the sake of it. 😒
Went so far as to import the PAL SNES Classic a few years ago and now I can't go back 😂
The Notch is to make sure the faceplate sticker is aligned correctly during assembly. Lots of faceplate stickers have that.
Those button colors are weird I'm so used to controllers for the A button is green The B button is red that X is blue and Y is yellow.
Pretty interesting concept of a computer! Although I’d rather buy a used computer and then install Linux on it. You can do a lot more with Linux, and when you buy a used computer, you are benefiting not only the seller and company, but you are giving a computer a new home, and are helping the environment.
I think this is the wrong video 🤣
Surprised to see they are all official
Yea i will never unsee the little notch now lol.
The Euro Snes controller also had coloured buttons
Honestly, I prefer the purple concave button controller for the US version of the famicom jr, that shit was the best.
If you only look to the buttons colors to differentiate a SNES controller from a Super Famicom one, then you may mistake an European SNES controller from a Super Famicom one.
i’d rather have a notch than a sideways misaligned controller decal but i’d still rather have a messed up controller over Notch
European SNES had the same colours in the bottons as the Super Famicom, though
Now I'll see that notch forever, thanks(?) 😆
It’s a shame we didn’t get the SNES wii controller from club Nintendo in NA. I picked one up years ago and it feels just like an original SNES controller. The wireless ones don’t have the same feel to them.
Atleast the notch had a function (glue) the stray pixel in super mario world’s logo had no purpose other than to cause pain
I have all 4 of them...the one for the Wii is still sealed
So many variants! I’m considering getting a SNES Switch Online controller, but I’m not sure whether to get the US model or Super Famicom one. I’m from America, so the US one is more easily available ($30 from Nintendo), but I love the SFC’s colored buttons. Which would you recommend more?
The PAL SNES controller (and switch online controller) also has the coloured buttons of the Famicom so you could consider that too.
SNES since the X & Y buttons are concaved and not convext which it's comfortable to press and hold Y and then press B with the rest of your thumb with games that are useful such as Super Mario World and Megaman X1-X3.
Number two has the Nintendo logo I've seen on the controller with the SNES Jr. In addition, the words start and select aren't visible below the buttons in the video.
The bottom one looks like to be a wireless controller with a USB type C Port. And are those ZL and ZR I spot between L and R? I'm suspecting it might be wireless switch controller. Might also be possible to play PS1 games with if you have a wireless adapter of some kind, which is kind of funny when you think about it.
As for the first and the third, no clue by just looking at the front.
You're missing the Super Famicom mini controller
funfact the little notch is also on the pal controller
I remember on of my friends had one of these growing up and i was so confused as to why the colors were different
I will never unsee that.
Cool. :3
I could tell the Jr. and the NSO ones apart, but the other two looked fully identical. Needed to put in the actual plugs for us to figure out I feel. However, I thought the Jr. controller was a knock-off, simply because it looked incredibly cheap. (Also you forgot the SNES Classic Mini... kinda, I mean it works perfectly as a Wii controller, so I guess there wouldn't be any difference with it there)
I got most but I thought the club Nintendo one was the classic edition controller
I had the super famicom colors but on a super nintendo controller?
That would be a European Super Nintendo then. Kinda annoys me that no one ever mentions that one
I knew them all
Somehow
Wait my snes controller (for switch) has colorful buttons. I doubt nintendo would have sent a fake
The notch is alao on north American controllers
You Forgot The Hyundai Super Comboy Controller
(I mean the korean snes)
Sufami controller>>>>SNES Controller
Anyone know why we didn’t get the Wii controller?
I always knew of the notch.
I never noticed the notch 🥺
cramming a little bit too much fast forwarded video into a short there buddy
