Because of your video here I had a dear friend and marimbist play this for my wedding, as I arrived, slowly appeared to the crowd and then walked down the isle. It touched me the moment I heard it and still gets me teary. Such a beautiful piece and love song I hear here. Thank you for this.
This i one of my favorite marimba solos by far. It's soo beautiful and technically incredible. It is my goal for this next upcoming school year to learn this solo. I am impressed of how flowing you played it. I love it, keep up the good work!!!!
Soo glad i stumbled upon this piece! I'm going to be playing this for my recital in the fall semester and it will be one of my pieces for my transfer audition for the Sam Houston State University school of music!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!! I adore this piece. I ordered the music within minutes of stumbling upon your video. I really like your interpretation of the piece...masterfully well done! :)
This melody is beautiful. I heard it in church a long time ago. I knew it when I heard it the first time. Seek ye first is the name of the song this copied from. Anyway, I bet JC approves.
nb7708 Personally, I prefer Land because Wind need continously practice because of left hand... but, if you play it with great passion(and note:P), Wind has more impact to the audience
@@westindillard Yes! You just have to ask about it and they should know. If not, you can ask the state music people. This is at least the case with florida.
Fast_Forward 123 I know exactly how you feel. If you're looking for another beautiful five octave piece to listen to, I would listen to Land by this same channel
I really love this piece and you played it so well! I'm thinking of playing this as one of the pieces for audition because im going into percussion in university. could you please tell me where I can get the sheet music for this? thank you!
At around 1 minute in, does that remind anyone else of Pachelbel's Canon in D? I love this kind of music, but I think the mic may be picking up the rustling of this clothes as he plays. It is not very obvious but one can hear faint rustling.

It's take time and effort just like any other skill. People aren't born talented they become talent by trying their hardest.

Which one do you personally prefer: land or wind? I'd like to play one of them
nb7708 Personally, I prefer Land because Wind need continously practice because of left hand... but, if you play it with great passion(and note:P), Wind has more impact to the audience
I wish this was on the PML for solo and ensemble :(

I KNOW!!! I AM SO SAD
You can get it approved if you go to your band director or whatever and ask them to ask the people. That's what I'm doing for a different piece.
@@carterpadrick6029 you can do that??

The repeating melody of this is weirdly similar to the song Seek Ye First.
It sounds like a Christian tune.
May the Jesus Wind rustle the leaves of your heart.
haha.
it makes me think of Chrono Trigger honestly.
+Alejandro Martinez "As the Deer", took me a while to place the tune, but yeah, reminded me of that song too.
+James Steele wow, very similar, but I was thinking "seek ye first"
