If everything else is equal there are always 2 reasons why you can't keep up with someone: 1. They trust the front end grip more than you. 2. They keep it pinned where you will roll off and they use more throttle earlier and open it more quickly. Track riding is different where braking skill makes a massive difference as well.
Yep I feel like #1 is huge. My friend who I ride with every weekend (hes a track rider im not) really smokes me with how late+hard he brakes. I need to do a trackday because I know even when I am trailbraking hard (for my skill level) im only using like 10-20% of what the tire/bike is actually capable of. He keep telling me I will learn more in a track day for performance riding than years of riding twisties
Simple as that. He already was when he was riding the ZX10RR. Nothing wrong with that. There always someone faster than you. Not worth going over your capabilities.
They are sensible people it's not a race! One is in front another behind then they change. This is the right and safe way. You have no clue about riding fast
@@hrsjohnnyi mean clearly hes faster. That one attempted overtake he hit him with that “not today” gear and took off. Max was at like 138 and he left the chat……hes faster 🤷🏽♂️
Looks even to me lads ,apart from some straights Max always coming back under brakes into corners ,try not to be to competitive with each other on road ,Race track will be the true test of braking skills ,who ever is better on the brakes will win ,with you 2 lads 👍not sure your wristin it enough of straights Max 🤔💯
What are you guys running for front and rear sprockets? It seems like he's walking away from you on the straights...just better acceleration. I know his is an M1K and yours is an S1K but I wouldn't expect the difference to be that noticeable. Both a great riders.
Wristy I think you should really keep a tab on how your handlebars are set Bro, it looks crooked. Along with good suspension setup - setup for your weight, I think you'd have no problem keeping up with saiyan
Max, I have watched you for a long time. You are a very fast rider. I will have to agree with some of the commentaries regarding the "Tune". I think the other BM is better "Tuned" because of how it pulls away in a straight line. Another thing could be his "gearing" more aggressive ( - 1 front sprocket + 2 rear sprocket) This would also help with straightline as you should know. As someone noted he is leaving rubber on the road which means that bike has powerful torque (again gearing possibility) *Also Possible* "short throw throttle " Corner entry and exit, I believe both of you were very close. You are really good using your brakes to cut the distance. This is my humble opinión. I enjoy your rides with the group.. maybe one day I can have that privilege to join you guys. Ride hard and be safe. Bless.
Another very simple possibility is that he is in 2nd gear in alot of corners that Max stayed in 3rd, I heard a few times out of corners that he would shift into 3rd while Max did not shift as he was already in 3rd.
The latest RR has what they call the M short stroke throttle. Supposedly the S1000rr responds even more directly to every command of the throttle. Essentially it sounds like a quick turn throttle on the new S1000rr but i could be wrong. That's why he gets away from you the moment the road straightens up. Again, i could be wrong.
Saiyan uses more of the lane to extend view and is better at straight lining corners.......he may enter slightly slower than u, but that's why he's getting on the power earlier when exiting!
Don't worry Max. He is faster just on the strait lines. Better tuned motor. That's all. You came near every corner. So don't go to risky. Think about your accidents. You both are incredible riders!
The straight is where max catches up then he’s already done braking and can enter the corner when his suspension is set lol he’s not faster in just the straight it’s all over but their both great riders regardless saiyan knows his road and has a better line and brake points
Fantastic ride, I guess you ride this road often. I ride Panigale V4S, however not so furious - where I live turns are much tighter, and police is vicious, due to bike rider mortality (Europe). I really hope you live to tell those stories to your grandchildren.
Smoother throttle inputs and don’t upset the chassis in the corners, you know that road so plan ahead so you are smoother. Pick your own corner apexes and smooth is fast and remember those painted lines can get you!
Even if both bikes rolled off the assembly line one after another, one bike is going to be faster. There are no two bikes that are the same. Also he is younger than you, better reflexes, maybe a better tuck.
@@gshell2520 plenty of reasons why another s1k can pull away. Tune. Mods. Weight reduction. Rotating mass reduction. A rider who knows every corner thru the canyons. lol
first, get that bike aligned, cuz yo handlebars are twisted to the left a whole lot, causing the wobbles all the time. second, you can get better lines than that, you are entering more in the inside of the turns than Saiyan, thus, having more work through the turn and less exit speed.
It seems like saiyen has better throttle control, study “Twist of the Wrist” by Kieth Code… “Once the throttle is cracked on, it is rolled on evenly, smoothly, and constantly throughout the remainder of the turn.”

Because you've gotten smarter over the last six or seven years after having experienced about 15 years deep inside your mind your body know what can happen... Welcome to the b grown up world
You don’t properly utilize your transmission. You find a gear you can rev out to on the straights and then stay in that gear the whole time. His body position also looks slightly better than yours. Specifically upper body is more over. He has a more motogp body position vs you have more an Isle of Man body position. Edit @ 4:16 is a good example of what I mean. Coming out of that corner he pulls away from you and you hear him shift 3 times while you stay in the same gear for those 3 shifts.
Most people I see in youtube do that mistake with the shifting. Not only they are stressing the engine by staying most of the time in the redline zone of revs, but also they are not taking full advantage of the acceleration potential of the engine, because there is a decrease in power when the engine enters the redline zone.
With the shifting you're correct. The body position argument is kind of useless. Because they're road racing. So Isle of Man style would be a benefit over moto gp style.
@@JanSonnemann body position is like 5% of the difference. Those long fast sweepers, better positioning will give less lean angle and therefore allow more speed
His bike could be geared differently, but by watching your bike's speedometer, it definitely doesn't accelerate as fast as it should. My 2020 tuned R1 definitely pulls faster as well.
It is not clear to me why You & Saiyan record your videos in 30fps recording technique, with a lower shutter speed, probably 1/100, the video becomes blurred and the impression of speed becomes greater ????????? ( fast movements are recorded in 60fps technique for smooth and clean video ) and you are fast 💪💪👍👍 and there is no need to additionally increase the feeling of speed in the viewer with the filming technique that you are using now
Lol. Nobody gets 2,000-3,000 miles out of a pair of tires. For just regular riding, I've never gotten over about 1,500 miles out of a tire. For sport riding, about 750 miles tops. On the track, I can conserve a tire and make it last all day.
