oh god. I heard, so many .. SO effin many truly HORRIBLE remixes of this song. Every time I think what are they doing! This one gets it right. First rule of remixing? Don't ruin the song. Love this.
a lot of remixes are done by simply overpowering things in back of vocals, or (this is highly common) finding specific vocal phrases which don't have much instrumentation behind them. other things to try: google "audacity vocal removal", and "isolating vocals virtual turntable".
What parts do people think aren't 4/4? It seems pretty consistent to me, you just have to listen for it. If you're talking about the beginning the original does that too. theres a 12/8 rhythm in the background but they're singing in 4/4.
the off timing of the beat is a crucial point of the remix. animal collective threw frankie knuckle's piano riff off rhythm when they sampled it for the original my gurls track
i am experimenting with sampling units and kaoss pads, very amateur things, but how does one isolate vocals to make remixes? hmm? radiohead released their "stems" ...i'm certain there's another way...what equipment is needed? turntables? excuse my ignorance...great remix by the way!!!

I want to download this mix, where do i find it? ;~
This is very very heavily compressed. Almost pops your eardums, whilst sounding fantastic.

It's really good an all. But no remix can be the original.

The music is amazing but i dont like the parts where the vocals are the same speed as the orginal.
@Hockyluv21 you just prefer pop bro, no big deal
I dunno man, I don't think any remix to this song could ever do it justice... and there have been a SHITLOAD of remixes to this song.
solid pink batman is the gayest =D
Originals much better. added beat seems to just clutter the song in most sections.
