Discover various basic techniques realized with the water-soluble pencils PRISMALO by Caran d'Ache: watercolour effects, wash technique, crosshatching, mixed media and different watercolour techniques.
In 1931 Caran d’Ache invented PRISMALO® Aquarelle, the first colour pencil that revolutionized the world of design and colour with its watercolour effects. The universal pencil is both highly technical for artists to make detailed drawings and very economical for intensive use, particularly at school.
Caran d'Ache's know-how and expertise in the world of colour guarantees 100% Swiss Made quality.
    Technical description:
    *** Type: Water-soluble pencils
*** Thin lead allowing a clear and precise trace, very resilient so that wears down very slowly
*** High pigment concentration, superior covering power, luminous colours, excellent lightfastness
*** CE EN71 compliant and certified FSC® Forest Stewardship Council.
*** Techniques: watercolour effects wash technique, crosshatching, mixed media - can be combined with Pablo water-resistant colour pencils, Neocolor pastels and Gouache.
Developed and manufactured in our Geneva workshops.

6:22 is the word "love" in sign language and this Swiss artist is scribbling with many pencils at once. If this isn't FREEDOM and HAPPINESS true joy, then what is?

My guess would be watercolor paper because you're using a wet medium with watercolor pencils. Bristol paper/board is great for plain, colored pencils.

Since they're not answering, I'll just say that you can find these Sumi style brushes are most "real" art stores, i.e., Blick not Michael's. Isabey is a good brand.

IMO, it's a bad PR move to ignore any inquiries that are posted. It would make me question and think hard as to whether or not Caran D'ache's support team would be of any help/assistance if issues occur while using their products. I'ts bad form all around!

The Prismalos don't cost that much. Even their most top grade pencils don't 400$. Prismalos cost 50-70$ for the set of 40 depending on where you buy from.
