@@nates.vintage.trains I seen similar devices below deck on the RMS Queen Mary but are hand operated -- one pump handle with one grease reservoir but with multiple lines going to various locations.

I believe that is an automatic lubricator. The ratchet system pumps oil into certain workings. (I still have a lot to learn about steam)
