The AMG-specific radiator grille, the front apron with flics on the air intakes, a front splitter, and trim in silver chrome are all hallmark features of the Mercedes-AMG design idiom. Other typical AMG touches include the optionally available 48.3 cm (19-inch) multi-spoke wheels and the AMG side skirts. These all add up to a bold statement that's borne out by bold performance.

The AMG Aerodynamics package has been developed in the wind tunnel to improve handling at high speeds and provides the basis for even greater driving enjoyment. The detachable body parts increase negative lift force. The fixed AMG rear aerofoil demonstrates a clear commitment to uncompromising performance.Complete individuality: with the AMG Exterior Silver Chrome package you can enhance the exclusive character of your AMG vehicle even further. Front splitter plus inserts in the side sill panels are finished in silver chrome.
Optional 48.3 cm (19-inch) cross-spoke forged wheels and red-painted brake callipers round off the powerful package. After all, the power of the newly developed AMG 4-cylinder turbocharged engine needs to be applied to the road as effectively as possible.

The world's most powerful 4-cylinder engine with TwinScroll turbocharging produced in series: a performance champion that produces the Mercedes-AMG A 45 4MATIC + with 285 kW (387 hp) and 480 Nm or the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC + with 310 kW (421 hp) ) and 500 Nm of acceleration.
AMG 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine with turbocharging and generating 225 kW (306 hp), 400 Nm, based on the M260 for standard model variants and differentiated by twin scroll technology, a water charge-air cooler and independently executed air intake (clean air line).The new AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with AMG TORQUE CONTROL enables motorsport-like performance. Two separately acting clutches on the rear axle allow fully variable torque distribution to each of the rear wheels exactly as required. This is particularly noticeable in the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ when the standard-fit Drift mode is selected.

If required the dual clutch transmission can inspire with extremely fast gear changes, but also boasts comfort-oriented, barely imperceptible shifting.
The optional AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension is your key to superior performance in everyday driving and on the race track. The adaptive damping provides a broad range between a comfortable and very sporty setup.
