Nintendo sued, and eventually ended up winning money in a settlement.

In particular, Palworld began collaborating with Sony on the IP business with such stolen designs, and their representatives have already shown their malice by making raw accusations against Pokémon through X in 2022. Should we condone them just because Nintendo is a big company? I don't think so. I can only think of you as serious underdogs. Palworld also took aim at that, stressing in its statement that they were small businesses. But are they "just indie game developers" no longer in partnership with Sony? Well... I don't think so. You can't sue a game because it is using the same genre of game as yours. I didn't play Palword but I don't think Nintendo is in the right to sue it.

Nah it isn't. It is a monster collecting game. In monster collecting game you collect monster to fight. So it is just this genre mixed to a survival game. You want to know the reason Pals look similar to pokemon? Because they're inspired by ANIMALS AND MITHOLOGY. They can look similar at 90% but that 10% is enough to not be considered plagiarism. Then the target audience is completely different pokemon is for kids or early teen, Palword is for older audience is a lot more mature. You can't sue a game because it is using the same genre of game as yours.
