That music segment caught me off-guard
As a male Miqo'te player, one of the main things that drew me to them (other than being a cute catboi) is their default /sit animation. I love that they sort of crouch instead of fully sitting down.
Also love the ear wiggling.
The squat is extremely unique

Sometimes when I need a little hit of serotonin, I ask a male Miqo player to /joy for me. Those ear wiggles give me life.

This happened to me today. A member of my FC met me around Limsa and asked "wiggles please" and I had to oblige. They cheered and jumped. :)
There's actually quite the lore significance depending on Sunseeker or Mooncats.
Female Suncats are subs. While Males are Alphas or betas.
Female Mooncats are Doms. While Males are subs.
Make sure you treat players appropriately. And scorn Male Vieras for not being hermits.
You rag on Keeper Men for your degen fetishism.
I picked Keeper Male because everyone else picks Seeker.

That's incorrect. Female Seekers of the Sun are still usually leaders of a tribe (source: official naming conventions and a quote made by M'rahz Nunh, one of the few Nunh that are also a so-called "alpha"), and even after becoming Nunh, said Nunh still has to actively work hard to keep his women entertained and ready to lay down with him (source: quotes made by female Seekers of the Sun in the Sagolii and, once again, M'rahz Nunh). This race is simply generally ruled by women, although Square Enix is partially at fault for this common misconception as both of the tribes with which you can interact ingame are ruled by a Nunh instead of something else (even though M'rahz makes an effort to mention how irregular this is).

i faced this video like a humor thing, i made a male miqo'te because i like cats and i have 4 of them in home.

I had initially made my male miqote to resemble my cat as well, until I changed his look over time, now he's his own character.

As a WOl who never fanta'd out of their Keeper catboi... this is life. I chose initially just based off of my love of cats and the fluffy tail. Then I discovered the crouch posture and the ear wiggle. My life was over.
spent 30 minutes on it and it was worth every second.

Tbh, the main reason I chose miqo'te is because I liked how they looked. I chose the masculine miqo'te model and have 0 regrets. I have tried the other races (mostly viera and aura) but eh, I always return to cat. I just sorta like em' and how they sit or wiggle their ears or that running animation. Oh, especially how expressive their tail is! As an artist I love showing those tail expressions. I chose a voice for my catboy that makes his laugh sound almost feral
I just sat through six and a half minutes of absolute derangement.

When I first made a character about a year and a half/2 years ago, I went with male catboi, shortest height, fluffy tail, etc and thought "...was making this as a joke and planned to go Hyur or Elezen but holy shit, no... this is perfection!"
Logged in, ended up joining an FC 20min later, one asked me to /joy when I visited FC house an hr after that and when I saw the ear wiggle? Yep, sold. Still a male miqo'te. Zero plans on changing from it as ear wiggles are my life now. Also, the FC has dubbed me the FC's house cat (i catboi crouch sit on shelves/tables and have been given a tree house outside of FC house... i've accepted my place in the FC and embraced it).

I always end up going back to cat because all the other races feel so stiff and stoic in the cut scenes.
You'd really think that if you look at 1.0 cutscenes. But yeah 100% agree. I started as a male Au Ra but it was just so stiff.

I feel called out. When I started the game back when ARR released, I made a catgirl because catgirls = cute. However, after I encountered tons of catgirls, like, you couldn't go anywhere and see no catgirls. I hated it. So I fanta'd into a femroe and stayed as such since. Never touched a fanta again. She is perfect.

I started Viera, but once you go cat you never go back.
Actually my own cat blackmailed me into this. I knew he was judging me for not playing a cat, so I caved.
When I signed up for this game I chose catgirl because all I knew about FF14 was that it was the game where you played a catgirl and dressed up as 2B and I wanted to the authentic experience. No Regrets.

Funny I only chose the race because of the running animation. The Hume and Elvaan felt to robotic and I don’t want to be a Tarutaru
I picked it because I’m insanely neurodivergent and a flashy character reflects my personality best. They can wear helmets, they have nicely defined emotes and have better models than highlanders. They don’t wear perma high heals, are average pleasant size and don’t look alien while having some exotic features. They are simply one of the best modeled and animated race with a ton of advantages and a wide variety of customizations afterwards. That’s the reason people often pick it as a main. Relatable and flexible.

Started playing this game like, Half a year ago now. And one thing i enjoy about MMOs is all the races i can look through and pick. I gave everyone a fair shot, And it was between A female miqote, A Male miqote, Or a cute bunny boy. I ultimately went with the female miqo'te, And after about 1-2 hours in the character creator. Eirlys evergarden was born. It wasn't till after a realm reborn the person that was walking me throughout the game told me that i picked the most common race in the game. And I'll admit that still doesn't bother me too much, I think i made an exceptionally cute and badass Miqo'te. Side note, I cant wait for the graphics update, She looks even better!

Anyway great vid, pretty much describes Miqo's.
The reason why I picked catboi was literally because of the stat as moon keeper as blm (when stat actually matter) because their mp was bigger than other races so essentially I can do another fire IV just before my mp ran out. This was during the time FFXIV was in it’s early stages. ;)

Honestly I always pick human in any game. This is the first game I decided to go for something different. I just liked the Miqote's hands. They are always CLENCHED ready to kill someone. Kinda cool.

I was happy when Female Viera and Hrothgar came to the game. I tried Viera in ShB, ended up returning to Miqote. I tried Hrothgar in Dawntrail, ended up returning to Miqote.

Female Miqo'te here. I style my cat in mostly grunge/emo aesthetics, and most of her glamours have barely any skin showing. I just picked a race that I think represented me the most:
Lazy, Playful, and Stupid. It helps that they're adorable too.

The cat boys didn’t have a stupid run and their fist doesn’t go through their face when using return. Nor do are they stuck with perpetual pissed off face or perpetual derp face. Hence why I picked them (plus cats are awesome).
Male Viera weren’t a thing when I started so they weren’t thrown into the consideration. Would likely have still gone with Mi’qote because Cats>Rabbits.

My main character did start as a male Miqo'te back in ARR but then I switched to male Au Ra for a good long while after that. Granted, it was a character based off of one I had played in D&D a long while ago so I eventually turned into a male Elezen afterwards. But yeah, you see Miqo'tes everywhere and while I prefer the female Au Ra to the female Miqo'te (I like the more demure, lady-like look of their emotes), there's never a lack of furry-eared people in towns and dungeons.
They're everywhere, even in the God damn walls
I wanted to pick Au Ra when I started on free trial years ago but couldn't. Catgirl grew on me. It's close enough to default I can get away with most outfits and still has cute cat things
The more time I spend in this game, the more people I know fanta to Miqo'te (myself included), it's spreading xD
I remember a time back in Heavensward when I was 1 of 15 or so female highlanders on my server. There were actually more fem roes than us.
Then Stormblood came out, and more thighlanders appeared. I was all for it as I think thighlanders have some of the cutest animations in the game, but it did make me strive to stand out more.
Joke is on you mate. My first race was Elezen and my second is and will always be...Roegadyn!
Miqo wasn't my first choice.
I went through the entire game first as a male raen aura.
Then switched to a male miqo for a second playthrough.

Spent 2 hours in the character creation trying to recreate my dnd character but after a few hours i decided i hate how thoes giraffe Eezen look, switched to Miqo'te, coudnt v happier and couldn't care less what other people say, i love my cat and i wouldnt have him any other way
