I've walked, and cycled all around Ladybower since being taken as a 12 year old in the drought of 76 to see the remains of the villages but I never knew that about the German mines! Will have to check the memorial out. My favourite ride out of Bakewell is the 13 bends route to Baslow, the ZRX might be coming out this afternoon to do both, any excuse.

@@graemewinnard1685 know the 13 bends road, great road. We tend to do that one if we’ve been to Hassop edge station cafe.
A good ride in the Peak District. It gets very busy , so I tend to avoid weekends & school hols.
