    Serious question, Would it be possible to add cremation ashes to the inside before you solder the final piece on?

      @@makeitwithkim-jewellerysil3126 found it! love them. would never have thought they were jackets? do you know the gauge of the bezel wire you used in this project? going to try my hand at it! thanks!!!

      @@crazy4beading The bezel was a 5mm cast bezel cup from Kernowcraft. The main metal was 1.5mm square gold-filled wire. The earwire was 1mm round :)

      @@crazy4beading Ahhhh :) I'm not sure, I think it was about 1mm thick. Anything between 0.3-1.5mm would work fine.

    Great information! Thank you!
    Just curious ... would there be any issue with quenching the piece in the Pickle solution rather than in water. Since the Pickle solution works better when hot, wouldn't that help speed up the cleaning process, instead of quenching in water, then having to warm the piece back up in the pickle solution?

    • @makeitwithkim-jewellerysil3126
      @makeitwithkim-jewellerysil3126 4 года назад +4

      Yes, and many people do but from a teaching perspective, it's not safe as there's a risk of the pickle spraying at you when the hot metal hits the solution, especially with big pieces.
