    I have the p0128 code but it will not start in the morning 25-32 degrees. a couple hours later starts fine multiple times throughout the day.

      usually it doesn't effect starting, it's more like fuel ecomy from the engine not being at the ideal temp. trouble staring at those Temps could be a number of things, fuel pump, oil thickness. it's hard to say what exactly it could be. find a reputable small shop and have them look into ,sometimes that's the cheaper route. thanks for watchin really apreciate it.

      they make a pair gasket for it, but this thermostate just has a rubber o ring that seals around the thermostat its self. thanks for watchin

    That code is thermostat or temp sensor do usually start with the thermostat or is that just cause you could tell by temp that it was sticking

    I know this video is a bit old, but you wouldn't happen to know why after I replaced an ECT sensor for the exact same Malibu, why my temperature gauge wouldn't be working and my radiator fans would stay on? it's acting as though I have no ect sensor, but it was a brand new one for replacement and I can confirm the connection is good.

    I have a 2005 Chevrolet Classic and my computer has the same P0128 code as well. How much does a thermostat cost?

    Got bad news for you if your coolant bursts out like that you need a head gasket

    Car suddenly started overheating and the heater stopped working. No smoke from tailpipe and my oil looks good. Is the thermostat the most likely cause? Giving you a sub and a like.

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Год назад +1

      I would check your coolant level when it's dead cold and see where it's at. it possable you have a small leak somewhere causing a air bubble in the heater core. but if your low on coolant and find no leaks consult with a shop and have a block test done to look for combustion gas in the coolant. thanks for watching hope this helps.
