Sanibel Island Before Hurricane Ian / A Trip To Sanibel Island | Captiva Island in Florida

This video was taped in 2021. Unfortunately, hurricane Ian destroyed the area in September 2022. So what you will see is a trip to the island prior to the disaster.
We explored Sanibel Island and Captiva Island in Florida by foot, car and drone. Sanibel Island is located about 25 miles south from Fort Myers and is known for its long stretches of beaches and spectacular shells. People would come from all over the world to collect shells on the island. The island has much wildlife preserve where manatees, birds and other wildlife can be encountered. Past Sanibel Island is Captiva Island to the north.
We made 3 stops on our trip. We stopped by the Sanibel Island lighthouse, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, and lastly at the Alison Hagerup beach in Captiva.
