Seeing that old Ford Fairlane out there on the track really takes me back! That era of cars is what the whole Street Stock field looked like when I was a kid!
Ty for posting. I just found this. What a great feature! Had so much action. I grew up in a family of Street Stock racers and I miss this kind of racing. DIRTcar is trying to cultivate a Hobby Stock class here in the 315 at Fulton Speedway. The track is similar in size and configuration to GH except for the main straight is uphill and the backstretch runs down hill. maybe a bit more banking? Anyways, great racing. Ty for sharing 🏁
Thanks for posting used to race in Australia in the 80's and 90's but they closed most of our dirt tracks dam I miss racing but love watching all the racing on RUclips
I never knew there is a track there. When I was a kid back in the 70s, I went to Skaggitt, the one in Monroe and the one in Spokane. My dad did some hot laps for a friend at Skaggitt, and ran a street stocks car at Borderline Speedway outside of Postfalls, Idaho. I miss going to the short tracks up in the state of Washington. Brings back memories seeing these videos.
Yep. I went to the Skagit Super Dirt Cup 3 years in a row back in the late 70's and early 80's. Saw Arizona's Leland McSpadden and drivers from Wa. Ore. Calif. New Mexico As. and B.C. and Alberta. That 3rd year was a washout. Poured the whole weekend so after day one and continued rains went to a monster truck show at the Tacoma Dome to compensate on the way home.
Lord have mercy!!!!! #7 and #9 were putting on a drivers clinic for a good chunk of that race!! Damn! Makes .me want to build one. Just acquired an old Buick rag top from the mid 60's though. My money gonna be tied up for a while.
Normally they just buy a car and fully strip it and rip off the exhaust 😂 obviously they change some parts to make it easier to replace tho, I work for the guy that built the AK47 car he’s a good dude lol
@@kolbyhardy6563 I was just wondering with all the goofy rules around the country now days, I raced a 68 Falcon Futura for 12 years that I had put a 78 Lincoln Continental frame under, good times.
NWfan2 Ya I remember seeing him at the Cottage Grove Speedway when I went there last time, and he raced there pretty good to when I was there I was like wow he is a good race car driver.👍🏻 I got a hello from him too when I was there, really nice guy very friendly🙂
Good race Cool to see that single car out front on the starts all the way across the country ..." The Delaware Start" as it has been dubbed. That started at one of our home tracks - Delaware International- originally US13 SPEEDWAY.
Old Ford comes out on top! Didn't have the motor that the 7 or 9 had, but just lets you know that the ones that cheats the most don't always win!!! Bahaha! Somebody will be mad about that! Ford could use some better suspension on the right front too, but hey, a win is a win, don't matter how you get it!!!
No way the black 42 is anywhere near legal. He stayed at the same distance behind for to long just to all the sudden grab and go like that. That Budweiser car may not be legal either.
Ditto Mikey B. ! BTW, a great advantage of 'dirt-track' racing, mes amis, is that if'n a pilote injuries himself/herself, there's plenty of dirt handy to rub-on-it... like Rally racing !: ruclips.net/video/iBlC7PIJdNI/видео.html i.imgur.com/vRPU56B.png BTW2: Was entertained by #47 (white, "flag" waving, Ford) and the unusual & jerky manner of taking the turns, and...and..Mon Dieu, he's going for the win ! Well don't that beat all ?

Sometimes you gotta go right to go left! Nice upload.
Real stock car racing.
Take note Nascar. This is what your cars should look like. Dirt's for racing
Asphalts for getting there.
❤ ! 🇺🇸.
Was it all Ford or just the body?

Chris West out of Portland,Oregon. See him at a track near you.

Ford galaxie 👍🤍
In the way.
What's at Ford that Ford is first on race day
New rule. Trunk lids mandatory.
3 videos in a row, that Fairlane just don't like a trunklid.

Weird,,, 9 caused a stoppage then starts mid field. The Fairlane was nowhere then holds off for a win!

That 7 car is just to smooth and hooked up for them to all the sudden find enough power to pass him like that.
And the cheaters take the good guys out lol.
Idiots... 7 got loose & fell off the pace. 42 & 9 were running consistent lap times.
