There is no hidden agenda, The US and Europe through the IMF and the World Bank are why Imperialism does not need any troops on the continent. The book I read in college, Aid As Imperialism illustrates why African countries are only independent on paper. Your brother Walter Rodney in How Europe Underdeveloped Africa show why we must develop an economic system not borrowed from our colonizers. The protest are a symptom of the larger problem of not developing an an economic/political based on our African experience. We were warned in Kwame Nkrumah's "Neo-Colonialism The Last Stage of Imperialism, the President of Kenya and others on the continent are serving in this capacity. The IMF told the president to "ignore" the protest. Whatever the contradictions are in China, the only way they were able to achieve that they have achieved in just forty years is that they developed and economic/political system based on their national identity. They have never surrendered their cultural identity to those who have invaded them.
