Hard to recognise Wayne Ferreira these days - those fit-as-a-flea sunken cheeks are not so sunken anymore as he looks a good deal heavier than he used to. He had a good all-court game which showed up well on grass when the grass courts were still fast.
I had the biggest grin on my face watching Tiafoe play. He is truly enjoying himself out there and trying to win all at the same time. This is so beautiful to watch. Players like him make me dislike players like Kyrgios
Tiafoe is the real deal, as is Sinner. Killer match, unbelievable gets and angles from both of these future champs! The new batch of kids coming up are super exciting to watch, a bunch of risk takers and shot makers.
Impresive win for Francis although Zverev in 2 sets (probably). Zverev and Medvedev improved significantly this year. I did expect it from Medvedev but 2021 Zverev is ridicilously mature. He choked only in Wimbledon but most of the new-generation players chokes there.
For a moment, I have forgotten Indian Wells this year, where Cameron Norrie was champion. You're right, that is also hard one but stick with the point guys. MIP of the year is Zverev by far.
Tiafoe could beat any player in the world when he is on. He's very naturally gifted and streaky. To beat Sinner, with the run he's been on, is quite a feat. Congrats.
Well...I miss the Fed. When he's fit (even at the level he showed from 2017-19), he brings a certain quality to the game that no one ever has (and probably ever will). It's true, though, that there's plenty of good tennis being played. It's mostly ball-bashing and it's not too elegant, but it's still a spectacle. However, I'd like to see more of players like Fucsovics and van de Zandschulp. Very good players, with less "firepower" than the top guns and the hyped youngsters but with much better all-round games and better techniques than almost all them.
@@axelkob5837 Sure. I didn't mean to say they don't have any power -rather, I meant they don't hit "monster" shots...which is refreshing. VDP and MF both also have very neat slices, another refreshing aspect. :)
Not sure. Many comments here celebrating Tiafoe. But. Wait a second. His behaviour was not professional. He intentionally hit Sinner a couple of times. And he did not apologise. He even intimidated physically his opponent. Honestly, I find Tiafoe overly into the show side of tennis, intentionally distracting and annoying Sinner, because, my take, his tennis level was not comparable to Sinner's, at least till 6-3, 5-2. Then, well, Sinner will have to deal with similar situations, possibly asking the referee to intervene.
Esatto jannik è stato bravissimo educato tiafoe un vero circense... questo non è un circo...lo facesse con altri giocatori e poi vediamo bruttissimo comportamento
So happy that this Sinner and Alcaraz hype got a decent bash. I have nothing against these 2 but people already see them as the new Djokovic and Nadal. The reality is a bit more complicated. Sinner even on his best surface (indoors) is still nowhere near top-players. He is more like another Casper Ruud. Excellent in 250 but chokes in the important events. Let's remember his run in slams this year: R1 in Australia, R4 in Roland (humilated by an injured Nadal after saving match points against Herbert), R1 in Wimbledon and R4 in USO (straight-setted by Zverev). In Masters events apart from the final in Miami, he loses in Round 1 or Round 2 of every other Masters including a big slap against Taylor Fritz in IW. 3 of his 4 titles this year are ATP250 with weak opposition. Sure, he is already EXCELLENT for his age but we'll start comparing him to Djokovic Nadal IF and WHEN he starts going deep in Masters and Slams. This match against Tiafoe put him in his place today. He was up 6-3 5-3 and only won 2 games after that. Tiafoe laughed because he thought it was over and that's all it took to destabilize Sinner. When things get tough he crumbles and it's not the first time. And this is his best surface. He still has A LOT to learn before he can be compared to the GOATS Fedalovic. Alcaraz is even younger than Sinner and already more talended IMO. But still, I'm glad he was given a tennis lesson today. Zverev has a better serve, better return, better backhand and better baseline game than Berrettini and that made all the difference. Zverev has shown he, Medvedev and Djokovic are the REAL big-3 right now. Zed won 2 Masters and the golden medal this year, he is not too far behind Nole and Med. As good as they are Sinner and Alcaraz will have to improve a lot if they want to steal slams from these 3. Very pleased with what I've seen today. And FINALLY an American player in a 500 final. I'll be rooting for him tomorray but also happy if Zverev wins.
OK, you said the truth, they are young and they need to grow and improve.. The whole "next gen" thing is a balloon about to explode anytime, but to me Alcaraz game is fun and aggressive, and to beat Tsisipas in USA was really a statement. Sinner is already in the top 10 for some reasons, results are good. Let's give them time, and mature in the tour. Tennis needs them.
Absolutely agree, I hate when young players are compared to other players. I'm a big sinner fan but he clearly needs to improve lot of things in order to win a slam.
@Jessy Johaug can’t disagree there . Zverev though still needs to work on his mental game and that Indian Wells choke job proves my point , right now it’s between Medvedev and Djokovic . Medvedev having significantly improving his mental game with the introduction of the sports psychologist. But both Alcaraz and Sinner are playing well , but are still quite far off from the More established next gen guys . Maybe in a few years we will be having a different conversation but I wouldn’t rule FAA just yet , he’s made tremendous progress this year under Uncle Toni and if he develops that ruthless on the court he could be a very dangerous player for even the like Djokovic .
Isn’t funny how we think like that! So funny…even someone with talent needs to stay in line? why? I think Alcaraz doesnt have a great personality to draw you in to root for him.
@@twittertwice I love Alcaraz's personality. Guy seems really nice and humble. Did you see his interview after he beat Murray? He kept calling him "Andymurray" like it was one word, hilarious! 🤣
He needs a better forecourt and net game which will give his game more variety and options. At the moment, like Rublev, he doesn't really have any other options if his baseline power game isn't working - same applies to Sinner.
Alcaraz has a good volley and knows when to come in, way better at the net than Rublev. I think his serve just needs to develop a bit. Guys can pick on his 2nd serve at the moment.
@@slow_build Zverev played a lot of deep balls to Alcaraz' backhand and really exposed a weakness in his game. Alcaraz has a very good forehand but that backhand hasn't got much on it as yet and looks vulnerable.

@@Anticommunism99 Well, no one asked him to. At their level one point can make a difference. That's what it takes nowadays.
he choked because tiafoe did not give up
@@Anticommunism99 No. Tiafoe also played his fucking arse off bro. Quit it.
tiafoe played a set and a half of pure magic
Big win from Big Foe!!! One of the best matches I've seen him play. Huge upset against a young talent.
Alexander the great rocks Vienna! 🔥🔥🔥
Good to see Tiafoe winning at this level.
I could literally feel Tiafoe's energy through the screen
Tiafoe is a monster lately, amazing.
Loving the way Frances is playing. It’s great to see him live up to his potential. If he keeps this intensity and level up more consistently, then he can be top 20.
Awesome tennis from this man! As a South African I say "well done" to Wayne Ferreira who is part of his coaching team.
Hard to recognise Wayne Ferreira these days - those fit-as-a-flea sunken cheeks are not so sunken anymore as he looks a good deal heavier than he used to. He had a good all-court game which showed up well on grass when the grass courts were still fast.
Me too😍🤩🔥💪 🇿🇦
Tiafoe such a beast, he’s got a ton of confidence going into the final I hope he wins
i like the classical music that starts the videos
Zverev can do it again 😉
Edit: I still hope he can do it
Edit: And he did it
I had the biggest grin on my face watching Tiafoe play. He is truly enjoying himself out there and trying to win all at the same time. This is so beautiful to watch. Players like him make me dislike players like Kyrgios
Wow, Tiafoe is such a joy to watch! Congrats on this huge win!
Sure, Wimbledon only :) IW where he has 3 match points is from another tenniverse 😂
choked hard in indian wells as well.
For a moment, I have forgotten Indian Wells this year, where Cameron Norrie was champion. You're right, that is also hard one but stick with the point guys. MIP of the year is Zverev by far.
Big 3, please don't come back. I want to enjoy these young and energetic guys, it's brilliant to watch next gen playing now.
Zverev has such a cool, composed and mature game. Just a matter of time until he’s the new #1
I don't know about that but I do think he has a good chance of winning the Australian Open in January.
@@martydav9475 definitely. One of the top favorites.
…No words for how Tiafoe is playing right now. Speechless. Just have to live him.
Tiafoe is simple playing some amazing tennis.
Tiafoe could beat any player in the world when he is on. He's very naturally gifted and streaky. To beat Sinner, with the run he's been on, is quite a feat. Congrats.
I doubt these young guns have the skill of the big 3 at their prime
It's strange, I don't miss the big three, it's not always the same winners... More exciting somehow
Very good players, with less "firepower" than the top guns and the hyped youngsters but with much better all-round games and better techniques than almost all them.
same here..enjoying every bit of it.
@@thesoccergod both nadal and djokovic have matched and surpassed federer
@@thesoccergod VDP has easy power. look at his match against rublev.
@@axelkob5837 Sure. I didn't mean to say they don't have any power -rather, I meant they don't hit "monster" shots...which is refreshing. VDP and MF both also have very neat slices, another refreshing aspect. :)
Frances energy is amazing. Shines the stadium. Good played and enterteined match
Tiafoes's matchpoint sealed with an ace was insane.
Carlos is young he really proved a lot this year. He is only going to get better
Wow Frances! Wow wow wow awesome tennis from another planet! Totally insane🥳🥳
Le tennis spectaculaire de Tiafoe est un régal.
Tiafoe just got a new fan here! just WOW!
Bravo Frances ! Once I saw the between the legs shot at net I didn't have to watch another point I knew it was over.
I'm a big sinner fan but he clearly needs to improve lot of things in order to win a slam.
great comment Jessy
Zeverev is the best 3 set player right now
So happy for Tiafoe. His mental game is strong.
Glad Zverev prevailed here. Alcaraz isn't going to just come in and take over.
What a semifinals day! I predicted the winner of Alcaraz vs Zverev but Tiafoe vs Sinner I didn't fathom this! What a match it turned out to be! One of the best of the tournament. I think Zverev for the final but you'll never Tiafoe could pull another upset! Either way a great for all of these guys.
Tiafoe is only 23. He can still be a top ten player in the future and win GS title. Keep it up.
Congrats to Frances for the Finals in Vienna. Man what a comeback, after the first set lost and 4-1 down in the second set. And that against one of the best players this season. Wish Frances all the best for the finals, it will be a tough test against Sasha, who is playing really good tennis this year, too.
That passing shot from sinner is pure filth🔥🔥
My Vote to win with Zverev, good luck
Im now huge Big Foe fan! What a show!!! 🙏🏻👏
What a match?! Rapaz... esse jogo do Tiafoe x Sinner foi demais!!!
Tiafoe came in with a great plan IMHO. Sinner can hit deep groundies all day and create angles. You gotta freak a guy like that out and rush the net to force the end of points. It worked on this day, because it was in Sinner's head. Two good dudes.
Tia-foe has proven that he has what it takes ! This is it ! Opportunity has unveiled itself and what better than to seize the moment ! Both players are longtime
faves ! May the best man win 🏆…
Amazing effort T!!!!!! pulling for u… play the same
hope its a sign that tiafoe will be a regular in the quarter finals of any tournament from now on
Both games went exactly the opposite to what I predicted! Tiafoe, he is playing amazingly. I always go for the underdog, and it would be gorgeous if a qualifier won. It all depends on if Zverev plays the way that we know he can, I think
Fantastic passion from Tiafoe. His coaching choice gas been good for him
tiafoe is like Bagdatis, a showman. and good player
Plays like this got me on the edge of my seat and I am loving it all the way to the final. 😎😜🙌
The Legend Of Inspired Tiafoe..
