These videos are a lot funnier when you picture Mike getting his lunch, going to his car, opening the car and stowing half the lunch, setting up his camera, hitting play, exiting the car, closing the door, wait a few beats, open the door and sit down with part of his food acting like he only just got back with it.
The reason Greggs does so well is because they opened a shit ton of shops in every town, even tiny towns there's over half a dozen shops, all the other bakeries and little greasy spoons can't compete so closed down and now we are stuck with Greggs everywhere.
@@everr8156 And my town where we used to have both Greggs and Hampsons (Sayers) and - according to my mum - Greenhalgh's at one point before my time (but her memory isn't the best so that could have been anything). Except all the pasty shops have vanished within the last ten years and we are left, sadly, pasty-less. It's a bit weird because in the town centre we have McDonalds and KFC in separate buildings a little away from the shopping hall and if you leave the shopping hall and walk around the outside square you have a local curry restaurant and a Nandos, but for some odd reason the more convenient pasty shops decided to up and leave :V
Looking forward to this, should be a fun one for you. I was thinking a week on Too Good To Go could be interesting, a wide variety of shops on it and it'll depend on what you can grab before it's gone with no idea of what you'll get in the bag.
@@theritchie2173 I've had a few from different shops and different stores and what you get varies quite wildly. I went to one Greggs and got some baguette's some doughnuts, sausage rolls and a few other pieces, a week or so later i went to a different Greggs and got a pretty sorry looking sandwich, a salad thing in a box and some cold potato wedges. I did however once go to a local corner shop at get so much food it filled three large supermarket "bags for life" and included full size baguettes, several hot dogs, a load of Danish pastry's, some pasties, some burgers/bacon rolls/sausage rolls/some yoghurt and loads more all for £2.39 it was insane! so that's why i think it'd make a good week on as it can vary wildly depending on which store you choose and what they happen to have on that day.
I live a few hours away from Seattle and the way Mike describes how many Greggs there are where he lives makes me think of how you cant kick a rock without hitting a starbucks here.
I recently asked for a sausage roll for breakfast, completely forgetting that they probably interpret that as the pastry sausage roll not a sandwich/bap. Ended up with the pastry variety but was too British to make a fuss so I accepted it and proceeded to tell everyone about that mishap.
Another week on smile;( there worth waiting for though it takes a while! It might be a burger or nuggets he tries...a trip to Macdonalds KFC 🍗 or 5 guys! He's done Iceland twice and pizza places galore and there's always a shot of basil sprawled out on the floor! I'm excited to see this series has legs...but seriously mate a t-shirt from Greg's....! Try the sausage rolls the cakes and the tarts...your videos are always more than the sum of there parts..! Cheers mate
We have some terrible weather in the uk today ( I’m in Scotland) the back end of the storms in Florida. The rain was bashing off the ground but you better believe i still went across the road from my work to get a greggs for lunch haha
Does anyone remember when they changed the way they made the Sausage cheese and bean melts? They used to have small sausges scattered inside. Then they changed it with two Sausage either side of the bean and cheese filling.
happy days 🎉🎊 my fix of a weekon is BACK! oh sorry to hear about basil being poorly glad he is better.hey check you out with your Gregg's t-shirt it's different and for that reason I like it.thing with Gregg's the food is cheap and in all honesty you can sometimes tell from the taste of it.but hey I would still buy from Gregg's any way! peace and love 💛
In Scotland we call your breakfast a “roll on sausage” to distinguish it from a sausage roll. I’ve no idea why we say the roll is on the sausage when it’s obviously the other way around.
I think I'll enjoy this week on way more than the last one especially with the Primark x Greggs clothes 😂 (I'm guessing you didn't get the faux crocs? 😅)
From the Republic of Ireland but anytime I’m up North or over the pond I’ll always try and get some Greggs.. Icelands actually does Greggs Sausage Rolls frozen and there pretty decent..
Nice to see you give yourself a filling week Mike, that Lighter-Life one was a little sparse in places, yummy looking 'Homer Simpson' type donut too! P.S. Hope Basi is OK!! :)
From what I'm watching in this video Greg's seems to be the England equivalent of Tim Hortons although it looks like the quality of Greg seems to be a little better than Tim Hortons
I don't know where Greggs are getting their calorie numbers from but they're way off. That bake thing you had for lunch is easily closer to 650 calories and that bit sandwich you had for lunch is like 500 calories of bread alone.
Wouldn't complain at Gregg's for a week, was trying to picture where you ate breakfast....looked like Gregg's customer toilets? Look forward to the rest of the week
Is the one in the city centre seriously the closest greggs to you?! I thought you lived over leighton buzzard way? Surely the one at Beacon retail park near Bletchley is closer?
These videos are a lot funnier when you picture Mike getting his lunch, going to his car, opening the car and stowing half the lunch, setting up his camera, hitting play, exiting the car, closing the door, wait a few beats, open the door and sit down with part of his food acting like he only just got back with it.
Pure cinema
I can just never get used to Mike driving for some reason. Always makes me go "Oh! I forgot he could drive."
As seen in previous videos, Grace seems to do most of the driving when they are riding together. He works from home anyway so she gets to drive more.
The reason Greggs does so well is because they opened a shit ton of shops in every town, even tiny towns there's over half a dozen shops, all the other bakeries and little greasy spoons can't compete so closed down and now we are stuck with Greggs everywhere.
And then we have my town , no Gregg's and the local shops/bakeries charge 2 pound a pasty.

Yes that’s the problem, less places to get a breakfast rolls
@@everr8156 Greggs is expensive, I bet your independent bakery taste better too, I'd pay 10p more gladly.
Basil looks like a cat I had, Mitzi moo moo! She lived til she was about 25💔. What a handsome boy basil is👍🏻
Looking forward to this, should be a fun one for you. I was thinking a week on Too Good To Go could be interesting, a wide variety of shops on it and it'll depend on what you can grab before it's gone with no idea of what you'll get in the bag.
Funnily enough, the bag you get from Greggs is very impressive.
@@theritchie2173 I've had a few from different shops and different stores and what you get varies quite wildly. Everytime I see a week on it puts a smile on my face 😁
I live a few hours away from Seattle and the way Mike describes how many Greggs there are where he lives makes me think of how you cant kick a rock without hitting a starbucks here.
Early idea for your next week on. Asda just essentials. I know you've done Asda before but since it's a new/rebranded range might be worth a go
Ooo Dirty Bugger eating from the middle!! That cracked me 😂😂
Should've called this a week on heartburn and acid reflux 😂 would be great if you did a week on Too Good To Go, if you haven't already
he's not a tramp!
That’s the new brand name Acid Reflux with a side order of Gaviscon
I’d have both too lol 😂
Don't worry Mike, with your Greggs diet you'll grow into your new t-shirt by the end of the week.
Seeing the British's obsession with adding beans to all their meals suddenly the name "Mr. Bean" makes a lot of sense.
Beans are life.
Ah yes. In Heinz sight that makes sense
The character Mr Bean was given that name because he is so thin......like a string bean.
Well, I live in the US so I've never heard of Greggs.
You missed the whole GR EGGS meme then.
Best wishes to Basil ❤️
Pressed thumbs up before I saw the videos - 7 days on Greggs- bring it on !🤣
Have you considered a week on ‘too good to go’ magic bags?
To save you going to the Greggs everytime you cpuld just go to iceland and get their greggs stuff tastes same as in the shops
I recently asked for a sausage roll for breakfast, completely forgetting that they probably interpret that as the pastry sausage roll not a sandwich/bap.
Ended up with the pastry variety but was too British to make a fuss so I accepted it and proceeded to tell everyone about that mishap.
I never even thought of that. I would've called it a sausage butty or teacake though.
I always ask for a sausage barm
In Scotland we call it a roll and sausage or roll and bacon.
on the receipt it says 'Vanilla Latte could this be the reason for the lack of Pumpkiness?
I worked with Greggs for a couple of years. Not many days went past where I didn't eat something on the menu
The peoples champ! He’s actually gone and done it
Often I wonder why the hell am I watching videos of a guy eating food. Still haven't come up with a good answer.
A week on basil please . Every meal needs to be eaten around basil
"Nobody wants Greggs at 7am" Not me actually going to Greggs at 7am when I was in the UK in April.
Another week on smile;( there worth waiting for though it takes a while!
It might be a burger or nuggets he tries...a trip to Macdonalds KFC 🍗 or 5 guys!

If he did a week on Five Guys he'd probably be in debt. It's tasty there but so expensive!
You can get a beget with sausage egg and bacon in the mornings! 100% would recommend.
Oh no, poor Basil!! Thank goodness he’s ok🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Looking forward to this. I did think it would be Wetherspoons when you said the next week on would be expensive.
brave of you to eat a greggs pastry in your car without having a hoover on hand
No you didn’t! Oml im looking forward to binge watching this 😂🫶🏻
Never heard of Greggs but when you went in everything looked so good!
I personally miss Bakers Oven (which is basically Greggs now I guess)
i used to love their belgian buns they were great
We have some terrible weather in the uk today ( I’m in Scotland) the back end of the storms in Florida. The rain was bashing off the ground but you better believe i still went across the road from my work to get a greggs for lunch haha
Wishing Basil good health ❤🥰🤗
These videos are gonna make me crave greggs something chronic I just know it
when I was at uni there were 3 greggs within walking distance (10 mins) of the lecture hall, it kept me alive
Racking up those Gregg’s Rewards app stamps!
Ooh now this one sounds good! 😂
Greggs...The Nations Favourite
There's something about Gregg's pastries that just does it for me; they don't seem that unhealthy but they are but they're bloody delicious!
Breakfast oats lunch maybe soup and for diner either a tuna mayo sandwich or pasta
Serious homer Simpson vibes when you chomped down on that sprinkles doughnut 🤣😂🤣👍😎
Does anyone remember when they changed the way they made the Sausage cheese and bean melts?
They used to have small sausges scattered inside.
Then they changed it with two Sausage either side of the bean and cheese filling.
No
I think I'm gunna enjoy this week on🤣🤣🤣 😋

Never heard that in Scotland. In Glasgow it’s roll and sausage or roll and bacon
Yeah it’s roll ‘n’ sausage not roll on sausage x
104 lbs? Do you mean 195?
104 lbs?? What have you been doing?
Those pink sprinkle donuts are vegan and my favourites 😍💚
I'm watching, best week on for a while ...
Could you not get Greggs products from Iceland? saves time!
I bet the Gregg’s staff thought you were a Greggs super fan with your attire 😅😊
How has it taken me this many literal YEARS to realise you live in MK? xD
Gregg's carries this nation upon its flaky shoulders
Mike, get some "dash-dandy" on that steering wheel of yours. 😂
Gregg’s seems to be the British version of Canada’s Tom Hortons 😂🤷♀️ Serves breakfast sandwiches and bakery items & coffee etc
We have Hortons here too.
We have Timmy’s here too. Defo not the same 😂
Tell me you don’t know they changed the law about being on ur phone while driving without telling me 🤦♂️😂😂 great videos btw gonna love this week on 🥰
I love Greggsa, but yeah often they do overbake the bread for the baguettes, its pretty disappointing when that happens :(
I think I'll enjoy this week on way more than the last one especially with the Primark x Greggs clothes 😂 (I'm guessing you didn't get the faux crocs? 😅)
From the Republic of Ireland but anytime I’m up North or over the pond I’ll always try and get some Greggs..
Icelands actually does Greggs Sausage Rolls frozen and there pretty decent..
OMG try a Gregg's Magic bag from Too Good to Go. It's a surprise what you can get in a bag.
Do week on Asda Essentials
How dare you do this to me, Mike. I've been craving Greggs for years.
I never heard of it, so what rock do I live under? Germany!
You need to do a week on LIdl next time and wear some LIdl merch as well 😂
1:48 104lbs? Either that’s a typo or Mike lost more on that last diet then we thought
Should be 194
Nice to see you give yourself a filling week Mike, that Lighter-Life one was a little sparse in places, yummy looking 'Homer Simpson' type donut too! P.S. Hope Basi is OK!! :)
I hope you had the app for all of this. Though I can only imagine you'll not want you're free stuff after all of this.
It's nice to see the big calorie numbers after that last week on. xD Hope you enjoy it!
It's not fair it's not a single one of those in the United States
From what I'm watching in this video Greg's seems to be the England equivalent of Tim Hortons although it looks like the quality of Greg seems to be a little better than Tim Hortons
Mike, greggs do fruit in there as well mate you will have to try that as well.
Looking forward to this one I love Greggs
I don't know where Greggs are getting their calorie numbers from but they're way off. That bake thing you had for lunch is easily closer to 650 calories and that bit sandwich you had for lunch is like 500 calories of bread alone.
I love Greggs,so good luck & have a fabulous week 😝👍
its only a week on when it's nutritional self harm
Mike will put on a few pounds in weight with this one.
Mexican Chicken baguette for the win - ask them to heat it up 🔥😋❤️
Just come across your channel on RUclips…. They used to do pies years ago wish they would bring them back.. Loved your vlog 👍👍👍
Quick question, but are you in the toilets 🤣🤣🤣 looking forward to this one, all the best fella...
currently wearing my greggs shorts whilst watching.
"It's wetter than I expected," - Mike Jeavons, 2022
Has to be the best week on.
A week of heartburn and acid reflux
Has anyone ever told you, you look like Jaap Stam?
I would like to see you try a too good to go package from greggs for this challenge
I used to be addicted to the white chocolate cookies 3 for 1.20 or something they were huge it was a suprise I didn't gain much weight hahaha
Greggs the only bakery where you can’t buy a loaf of bread.
You should get a Greggs Too Good To Go Bag
Tbh the baguette was a bit overdone for my liking lol and yes don't expect much low calorie options at greggs
Nice to see the real greggs sausage and bean pastry after only seeing it once before on the first icrland frozen video.
Wouldn't complain at Gregg's for a week, was trying to picture where you ate breakfast....looked like Gregg's customer toilets?
Look forward to the rest of the week
This is greggs Milton Keynes, don’t think they have a toilet. They do have lots of quiet “beige/white” stairwell type areas though!
Is the one in the city centre seriously the closest greggs to you?! I thought you lived over leighton buzzard way? Surely the one at Beacon retail park near Bletchley is closer?
What kind of savage bites the middle of a sub. I was hoping to like you
I think you may be able to get the shirt to fit by the end of the week on XD
A week on Gousto ?? Apparently its better than hello fresh!
Where am I? I'm in Newfoundland, an actual Rock in the ocean, so I'm living on top of a rock, not under. I've never heard of Gregg's.
Buy an ice coffee with each one and you could be a builder.
I've never been to England and if I ever go there the first thing I want to do (and I say this in all seriousness) is go to Greggs.
just hurry up and do a week on alcohol instead of water & food
