  • People tend to downplay certain attributes about themselves that don’t fit the mainstream narrative, especially in the workplace. Diversity and inclusion professional, Destiny Fordham, shares the importance of inviting courageous conversations centering around identity to create space for everyone. Destiny Fordham is a multifaceted professional and is an experienced DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) trainer and facilitator at the Center for Employment Opportunities. In 2019, Destiny was awarded the Emerging Leadership Award through Bank of America. Since, Destiny has devoted her life to shaping the experiences of youth and adults through the power of education and storytelling, creating and facilitating DEI training for staff and students across the country.     Covering is common in so many social settings. It helps us get "through" a situation but over time creates internal confusion about who we are. Thanks for this powerful message!
