They are without a doubt my favorite part of playing as Venice, so damn effective. God has a hard on for Venetian Heavy Infantry because they kill everything they see. I'm pretty sure I've run allot of simulations around the Venetian Heavy Infantry. Some may say that they're underwhelming or don't pair up against other heavy infantry. But in most if not all of my simulations against other tiered infantry, their solid defense and attack stats, backed up by their armor piercing has allowed them to deal with nearly any situation, speaking from an infantry standpoint. Because even when it turns sour for them, they can at least deliver equal blows and deaths in return with their armor piercing shining through on the enemies death toll.
Armoured Swordsmen have cheaper upkeep than Chivalric Knights though, 150 instead of 225. (of course that doesn't matter online but on the campaign it gives them an edge)
Very much so. At that point, the only Dismounted Feudals worth keeping are the high-experience units. Otherwise, it’s best to phase out the Feudals and replace them with Armoured Swords.
Make sure you guys note that this is for online battles only. Some of these units are shite in singleplayer due to their much higher upkeep, for example armoured swordsmen have 150 upkeep while chivalric/polish knights have 225 which is obviously much higher.
I tested the Christian Guard vs. every faction's top heavy infantry. The conditions were simple, both sides had 1 unit, and no armour, weapon, or exp. upgrades. Both sides charged on even terrain. The Christian Guard wiped the floor with all of them. The closest fight was against the Venetian Heavy Infantry, but only because the Venetian Heavy Infantry got a lot of kills right off the bat from their charge, then they lost just as badly as any other elite infantry unit. Clearly this is a very specific context, 1v1 best heavy infantry unit. Edit: I was able to get the Dismounted Conquistadors to beat them by four men. They have about the same stats on paper.
The only difference between Conquistadors and the Christian Guard besides the possible armor upgrade for the Conquistadors is their discipline. Conquistadors have low discipline. That means their morale gets effected more by things that happen around like the loss of their general or flanking hostile charges. In my personal experience a healthy unit of 30 Conquistadors routed because they lost their general and got some Naffatun Bombs in their faces and they were not even surrounded. Christian Guard on the other hand are "disciplined" so they will hold their own most of the time.
Any unit with two handed weapons are designed with cavalry in mind. They are meant to destroy cavalry. Sword & shield units are meant for other infantry. Cavalry’s purpose is to flank and destroy archers and artillery, and then hit engaged infantry in the back & rout them.
So says every military manual in history. Now try that in M2tw and see how quickly your infantry (everything but pike men) disintegrate to a frontal cavalry charge.
I do that in every battle and it works out perfectly. And those units with two handed weapons aren’t working alone either. They have a support group of friendly cavalry and archers.
This is a cool list. But as far as infi goes I prefer the highland nobles (one cause I'm of Scottish descent) mostly because of they're killing animation where they sweep someone's legs out from them then land the blow. Though I find it a shame Scotland's units are generally the weakest considering that the highlanders especially are built pretty damn big
aceofaces18 combine them with noble pikemen or just normal highland pikemen and you have a super powerful and incredbly cheap army. The swordsmen are protected by the pikes and the swordsmen deal the damage. Works better with noble pikemen cause they have armor but the regular highlander pikes can also deal massive damage if used properly
Yeah i've been doing that i've even put the noble swordsmen to use as human shields to protect my archers because they have superior defense to most other units. I once fought a battle 1300+(england) vs 900+ (me) i think my formations saved the battle XD
Yeah, Scotland was bullshit in this game. "You don't get any decent heavy infantry or cavalry and shit archers, but how about some pikes that don't fucking work?"
Tell me about it, I played as portugese and I charge their pikemen almost head on with feudal knights and they start to route, strange considering by the historical accuracies, the scotish pikemen should be savages
About Venetian heavy infantry. You don’t use them in the same way as you would use a unit of conquistadores. They are a prime example of a shock troop that actually works, in this game. The scenario where you want conquistadores is for a fight location where you can’t support them with anything else, such as a breach or a battle for the walls. In those situations their superior stats just let them out grind the enemy, allowing them to accrue that monstrous value. Venetian heavy infantry plays differently. They don’t want to grind, they want to hit key areas of the battle and turn the tide of battle quickly, fighting against other armored infantry. Their attack might be a little overturned but they are a very well made unit overall as it takes skill to use them well.
Man I love the fact that you have stad the same Apollo instead of changing when you started the double comms with Apollo and now Swiss man you are the best:)
Apollo, I sat there as a unit of Conquistadores, letting the Venetian Heavy Infantry (AI) charge at me. They lost. VHI having AP damage is great and all, but I think what fucks them over against Conquistadores is the fact that the latter have 6 more Defence Skill (Conq: 7DS - VHI: 1DS... that's pretty bad). It was close enough, but the way you phrased it seemed like the charge made all the difference, but I don't think it does. If I can parry your awesome weapon effectively while you don't do much to stop my inferior weapon, well... I guess there's always stationary cavalry they can go after lol. Loved the video, though. I also love how you talked about Dis. Feudal Knights as the heart of the infantry units, if not the game as a whole. I completely agree!
a little note thing about the armored swordmans. while its costs more to recruit them there upkeep is still cheaper the the knight's and they got better defense stats, they my favorite englis infantry unit :D but since they are still expensive i use them as suppelments while the backbone of my army are bailman :)
The shove mechanic does nerf them bad but they can still hold the line. Majority of your battles are fought with archers included so two handed units can keep the enemy in place (even if they can't kill them) while your archers or cavalry finished them off.
There's this one unit in the Gold edition for the Medieval 2 Crusade mode, two handed swordsmen at around 1000 florins absolutely slapping Venetian Heavy Infrantry in 2v1 1100 florins going up against 1200 florins worth of venetian infantry is pretty clear cut. Base game Venetian Heavy Infantry slapp everything
Apollo you got to do these lists for the expansions, at least the Crusaders and the Teutonic. gotta know how those new troops rank, especially since the 2Handed glitch is not as pronounced or nullified.
How do you remove and put back on your unit flags and ranks? In my game play, my units are there, but the flags and experience rank flags are not and I cant seem to fine the right keys to get them back. Any one know how to?
Venetian Heavy Infantry at NO.1? HERESY! Nah just kidding, awesome listing, loved to hear from your perspective guys and great commentary. :) Keep up the good work mates.
Thanks Swedish! LOL yeah VHI are the kind of unit that can completely destroy armies, or break really fast. We put them at 1 because the have a amazing charge, solid stats, and a ap attack. That pretty dirty. But they probably have more of a learning curve compared to the conq.
Karaus There is so much more to the units than defence. Venetian Heavy infantry have armour piercing attack, so any defence due to armour is halved. Also, the charge bonus adds to the Venetians already brutal attack. The Hashashim only have half as many men in their units.
Karaus The fact that they have less soldiers is important, because it means that there are two soldiers attacking each Hashashim, and damage is only done if they complete the attacking animation, which can be interrupted by other soldiers attacking them. They're also 840 florins or something.
Upkeep is important to me at least. I used to like the English armored swordsmen with their 150 upkeep per turn that's almost as cheap as a spear militia unit; and stats about the same as dismounted feudal knights
I never understood why the conquistadores had such good stats and could stand up to other heavy infantry even though they were only fighting naked native Americans. Also the Christian guard does poorly when they attack feudal knights which was disappointing but a fantastic unit in siege defences. Great list by the way will it be cav and skirmishers next?
I think its because they are the most advanced infantry unit in the game. I never really saw any issues with christian Guard against feudals. Cav will be next! Thanks for watching!
Can someone please explain the role of axes on this game? I have tested a variety of axes against good and bad units and they haven't always won when they should have, like when Norse Axeman lost to Armoured Sergeants.
I agree with all the units on this list. Great job with testing guys. And congratulations to Swissman, hopefully he will become a regular to the gang. Which reminds me, you should make a gang :P
Venetian heavy infantry are very good counters to dismounted knights. Plus the fully upgraded 'advanced plate' of dismounted broken lances looks amazing. A shame they lack the morale and attack superiority of standard knights. What about spearmen though? The Ottoman dismounted Siphais lancers are good cavalry counters. Personally I found pikemen to be extremely underwhelming compared to how deadly they actually were in the late medieval/Renaissance period
Pikemen are ok if you can support them. The main issue with them is a design flaw in the game that has them drop their pikes and pull out swords when they are touched by an enemy model. Spearmen in general are inferior to heavy infantry. Even against cavalry they are pretty underwhelming unless they are in schiltron or the cavalry charge is disrupted. I believe someone mentioned to me that they have a hidden stat that gives them a penalty against infantry. Their argument was that town militia being "light infantry" actually makes them better at fighting the spear militia.
Darth Panzer True, the Dismounted Gothic Knights are pretty cool looking. They remind me of the Ritterbruder from the Teutonic campaign, very stylish looking unit.
Ronan Slevin Yep Ritterbruder are the shayt! They are like armored devils, the reason why i prefer the Gothic knights is because they have plate armor, but I've seen fanart of Teutonic Gothic Knights.Pretty cool.
As here is full of MTW 2 fans, I can maybe use this opportunity to find an answer to a question I have since 5 years. I remember that 10-15 years ago I played a version of MTW in which it was possible to assassinate own units, force incest marriage, discover incest marriage in another state and cause rebellion there. Furthermore while playing with Turks at hardest level there was always this civil war between brothers and I had to pick a side, when the other became rebels (Hated it because you lost many regions at once). For good trade income, you had to secure sea with your fleet as well. Does anyone know the name of that MTW version and probably where I can find it?
Capitalist Manifesto Not realy canons Of The Holy Sepulcher (probably speling wrong) are not tbat good plus this is vanila. And in a vanila perpective hasasim can beat venetian heavy or conquistador
Boyar Sons are interesting, because if you give them their armour upgrade, then they’ll beat Feudal Knights and Imperial Knights, they’ll even consistently beat Imperial Knights even if you also give the Imperial Knights an armour upgrade. And considering that your only other choice is Dismounted Druzhina, which are pretty much just the same unit, they’re not that bad.
you need to build hashashim guild, only available with Muslim factions (egypt, moors, turks) and Hungarians can have hashashim guild but they have battlefield assassins, similar to hashashim but weaker, you can build hashashim guild only in cities, you need to wait until it pops out in begining of the turn, when information says that guild is available to build, and you should wait until hashashim guild pops out to be available to build, you should cancel all others, but if you build inns and upgrade them and build assassins and and if you killed someone with assassins you get guild points so you will get chance to build guild earlier...you need 100 build points for hashashim guild, for example, if you build 1 assassin you get 10 points, for successful assassination you get 20 points but for failed assassination you lose 20 points so use quicksave before trying to assassinate somebody, and buildings give you i think 20 points for each upgrade....i hope it helps
Both the battlefield assassins and the Hashashim are very good units. The Turks make the most use out of them. But they are expensive and need support from other infantry as they are not capable of holding a frontline themselves.
If you ever do a top ten list for Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms (which I doubt since you've moved on), the number one infantry unit will have to be the Canons of the Holy Sepulcher. Fully upgraded, you can verse these guys against any other fully upgraded unit and they'll win every single time. Not even the Venetian heavy infantry can beat them. Heck, I even had elephants charge against them and they all lost. They're insane! :D
Swissman15 made an infantry top 10 for Kingdoms and the Canons of the Holy Sepulcher had to be excluded because of how ridiculously overpowered they were.
Best infantry is actually landsknechts or something like that. 8 vs. 8 landsknechts beat venetian heavy infantry every time if you do a single "Gewalthaufen" and just stack all the pike units in one giant spearwall blobb. Then just smash frontally thru the enemy line, kill the general and mop up the remaining units, focusing on at a time, don't waste your time responding to flank attacks, the pike blobb has an insane moral when all together.
what about upkeep per turn and the difference between defence and armour/shield? The upkeep would put most of the knights down some ranks and the lack of a shield would mean most two handed are crap on the front line or am i wrong? Also i think that blunt weapons are better vs armour and get you more prisoners than dead people.
+Alistair Brock You are correct, but upkeep would not have been a consideration as this was purely for multiplayer battles. I imagine the top campaign infantry units would be a lot different.
Combat animations for two-handed units are slower than those with sword and shield. This means that they have to block more often, and the only thing they can block with is their weapon, so they don't attack often.
Are you planning to do more of these, but maybe for mods and with the export_descr_unit.txt for advanced stats? I can provide you with the advanced stats if you want.
As it turns out, Aztec Cuahchiqueh defeat Venetian Heavy infantry with one weapon upgrade and priests chanting. However, they do not without the priests. Rather than breaking being the main cause of this, they actually perform worse overall. Does anyone know if morale improves fighting ability? If so, the Aztecs can be considered quite formidable in terms of infantry. (Not suggesting Cuahchiqueh should make it on this list.)
Ok this list isnt as bad as cavarly or archer videos. But if we are talking about a true fight, not numbers here is the top three 1-Hashasims 2-Battlefield Assasins 3-Venetian heavy inf. And also there must be Jannissary Heavy inf. of course i think this must be 5.
I keep hearing about 2 handed glitch but I think it was meant to be this way. Realistically, 2 handed can't block well and have low attack speed so one handed with shield will just win considering the higher stat of 2 handed infantry. I think the game meant to have 2 handed infantry as a flanking army rather than facing of heavy infantry upfront.
I did some quick testing, and I found that Russia's dismounted Druzina and Boyar Sons both beat HRE's dismounted imperial knights but lose slightly to Feudal Knights. They have better attack and much better morale compared to the imperial knights at the cost of a little defense, but they're not even given an honorable mention here. The one thing that holds them back is their cost I would say, as they're even more expensive than Feudal Knights. Still, Russia's best infantry all have armor piercing. I think too many people just write them off as a pure cavalry faction. Also, I think you're overrating Imperial Knights a little... Dismounted Dvor (a bow unit) will beat them in a melee.
daz bones I agree about the Dismounted Imperial Knights. But what ruins Dismounted Druzina and Boyar sons, alongside their cost, is their rubbish morale. I cannot trust them to hold a line, which is where I need my heavy infantry. Spending 600+ on heavy infantry is pointless for them when I can spend 300 and get better/upgrade my cavalry.
Oh wow, thanks for the response. I kind of wonder now since Dismounted Druzina, Boyar Sons, and Feudal Knights all have the same tag "Good Morale" in their description, but it's also true that Feudal Knights have the better morale in a fight: Is this better morale due to a different "morale value" in the code designing the units, or do they have the same starting morale but feudal knights have a better defense value so they don't die as quickly and thus don't lose morale as quickly?
daz bones I cannot access the total war honga but that gives a lot of detailed stats for units. But I have a feeling that your latter statement was probably closer to the truth. Units that die quickly lose morale from sustaining losses in a short span of time.
ive only played as england and france, but so far the english armored swordsman is my favorite. i think it was 600 for recruit but only a 125 upkeep, compared to dismounted feudal knights at 570 recruit and a 225 upkeep. sometimes its just better to be able to afford more units then have better ones.

+Knight Michaelion - Ours is the Fury Thank you for explaining that. It has always bugged me what the whole "Disciplined" stats were all about.
Captain Invisible Cheers mate!
+Knight Michaelion - Ours is the Fury i was about to mention that. 1. Morale 2. Discpline 3. AP 4. Shield 5. Charge.
Apollo you should make a new top units including the expansion units
Oof
The Americas Sword Militia/Bucklers/conquistadors/new world cuirassiers would dominate
Thanks guys, as a new player this was really helpful!
Man I love the fact that you have stad the same Apollo instead of changing when you started the double comms with Apollo and now Swiss man you are the best:)
thanks! im glad you enjoy our vids! :D
Psh, He obviously meant Swissman is the best...
- Swissman
No I meant Apollo
I was making a joke :(
ThePirate0fJamaica what are you talking about?
oh damn I forgot them. Denmark has Chivalric Knights
i care about them :(
Pixelated Apollo I wouldn't say their days are over..... one day they will save us from Russia hehe
lol
i bet if the dismounted gothic Knights were trainable in the campaign you would include them in the list
I like how they say Polish Knights, but don't show Poland as a nation that can bring them. Where the love for my faction? Go Poland
Fuck Poland >:)
Oh Jesus, I've found the old Apollo videos; the holy grail of the Church of Apollo
PA can u make more top ten series for third age, crusades, and americas, etc.
For the Third age? There's too many units to compare and make a top ten. Their stats are hard to compare as some of their stats are really low.
this was the first video that i watch of pixel and then i suscribed in 2014
I agree almost completely with the list, my only complaint being WHERE ARE THE NORSE AXEMEN?! -schoob
The two handed glitch is making two handed units not good. They are probably in the honorable mentions?
they loose badly against feudal knights
Your channel is growing so fast now!
WAIT! Did you just put Duch eagle everywhere instead of Polish one? :F
a little note thing about the armored swordmans.
while its costs more to recruit them there upkeep is still cheaper the the knight's and they got better defense stats, they my favorite englis infantry unit :D
but since they are still expensive i use them as suppelments while the backbone of my army are bailman :)
I thought two-handed infantry weren't very good?
The shove mechanic does nerf them bad but they can still hold the line. Majority of your battles are fought with archers included so two handed units can keep the enemy in place (even if they can't kill them) while your archers or cavalry finished them off.
There's this one unit in the Gold edition for the Medieval 2 Crusade mode, two handed swordsmen at around 1000 florins absolutely slapping Venetian Heavy Infrantry in 2v1 1100 florins going up against 1200 florins worth of venetian infantry is pretty clear cut. Base game Venetian Heavy Infantry slapp everything
Varangian guards are the best !!!
Not anymore lol.
9:55 i think u missed Dismounted for these tough men ::).%
You should do top 10 descriptions for the units :) i always like to go through and read them
Nice video, and congrats we did it 700 subs 😄 good work apollo, you will bring an awsome siege ? XD
I will! Thanks for the support!
i love the imperial knights
Guys opinions about Croation axes?i love them personally 15attack 7defense 5, charge Armour piercing FOR 260 AND THEY ARE UPGRADEABLE low cost menaces
7:06 JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED!
Peasants are the best purely because of the amount of them that can be spammed.
Apollo you got to do these lists for the expansions, at least the Crusaders and the Teutonic. gotta know how those new troops rank, especially since the 2Handed glitch is not as pronounced or nullified.
MY LIST
10.MEN AT ARMS
9.VARANGIAN GUARD
8.TABARDARIYYA
7.NOBLE KNIGHTS
6.ROYAL BENJARIHUM
5.IMPERIAL KNIGHTS
4.FEUDAL KNIGHTS
3.CHIVALRIC KNIGHTS
2.CONQUISTADORES
1.VENETIAN HEAVY INFANTRY.
Venetian heavy infantry is very nice, yes, but don't have good morale like most of those units.
True, but 16 attack with 6 charge bonus and armour piercing could not care less XD.
5 charge bonus not 6.
How do you remove and put back on your unit flags and ranks? In my game play, my units are there, but the flags and experience rank flags are not and I cant seem to fine the right keys to get them back. Any one know how to?
Thebizzle21 Look under graphics or something, maybe you'll find it there... ;)
why do i think that the varangian guard should be no1???
+antreas makis they are bugged in vanilla, so they don't deal enough damage
Venetian Heavy Infantry at NO.1? HERESY! Nah just kidding, awesome listing, loved to hear from your perspective guys and great commentary. :)
Keep up the good work mates.
Thanks Swedish! LOL yeah VHI are the kind of unit that can completely destroy armies, or break really fast. We put them at 1 because the have a amazing charge, solid stats, and a ap attack. That pretty dirty. But they probably have more of a learning curve compared to the conq.
NUMBER (#) ONE *VENETIAN HEAVY INFANTRY* stats:
*ATTACK*

*DEFENCE*
*Total defence*: *22*
Armour: 6
Defence skill: *9*
Shield: 6

*Good job Apollo*.
Karaus There is so much more to the units than defence. Venetian Heavy infantry have armour piercing attack, so any defence due to armour is halved. Also, the charge bonus adds to the Venetians already brutal attack. The Hashashim only have half as many men in their units.
Karaus Now list their price
Karaus The fact that they have less soldiers is important, because it means that there are two soldiers attacking each Hashashim, and damage is only done if they complete the attacking animation, which can be interrupted by other soldiers attacking them. They're also 840 florins or something.
But hashashin are 30 people venetian heavy inf. are 60 people
Upkeep is important to me at least. I used to like the English armored swordsmen with their 150 upkeep per turn that's almost as cheap as a spear militia unit; and stats about the same as dismounted feudal knights
This is a multiplayer only list. If it was singleplayer, upkeep and availability would have been taken into account.
Lauren El the conquistadores fighted on Europe too they conquest the south of italy and the some countries like belgium and a part of french
Because conquistadores were extremely rich and skilled.
what about the expension pack units? i know there are some pretty epic units out there
+ridfer the gamer yeah I might make a top ten unit series for that
Owh, cool! thx for the reply btw. What are your favorite extension units?
+Pixelated Apollo Plz do
+ridfer the gamer mangonal
expansion?Ritterbruder.all the way
Can someone please explain the role of axes on this game? I have tested a variety of axes against good and bad units and they haven't always won when they should have, like when Norse Axeman lost to Armoured Sergeants.
Kitbuqa ah thanks a lot.
varagian guard a: 20 d: 15 C:6
Tabardaryyia a: 20 d: 11 C:6
all you read is a lie!
I agree with all the units on this list. Great job with testing guys. And congratulations to Swissman, hopefully he will become a regular to the gang. Which reminds me, you should make a gang :P
Thanks Captain! haha gang? well if I had one, you would be in it!
:D
Nobal knights. Great spelling guys.
any reason you guys felt obdushaer didnt make the cut?
It's actually pronounced "Taba-diarrhea" so plez learn
Their argument was that town militia being "light infantry" actually makes them better at fighting the spear
militia.
Shouldn't the Zwei Hander of the The Holy Roman Empire be on this list. On the charge they are brutal as hell.
I think it should be the Dismounted Gothic knights! They are almost exactly the same unit as The Zwei Hander, but with cool armor.
Darth Panzer True, the Dismounted Gothic Knights are pretty cool looking. They remind me of the Ritterbruder from the Teutonic campaign, very stylish looking unit.
Ronan Slevin Yep Ritterbruder are the shayt! They are like armored devils, the reason why i prefer the Gothic knights is because they have plate armor, but I've seen fanart of Teutonic Gothic Knights.Pretty cool.
because of the two handed glitch..the Zwei Hander and the Gothic Knights are bad
Pixelated Apollo Not if you play Stainless Steel! But yea in vanilla they are bad.
Ritterbruder should be on here tanky as fuck
This is only for vanilla, but they are awesome.
giltine's chosen bruh
XxMasteroMariusxx Decent
ritterbruder is better tho :D.
+Leon Cao Town militia is better than Ridderbruder :D
just thought I'd throw this out there, Berdiche is pronounced BAR-DEESH. Great video apollo, keep it up :3
Best infantry is Hashashims .
Principle of Antioch has the best infantry in the game (Crusades DLC)
Kitbuqa u didnt charge into a charging dismounted conquistador/christian guard then.
well sometimes they will get charged and lose the battle
Emre Atik That is just because they got 2 hitpoints -_-
Capitalist Manifesto Not realy canons Of The Holy Sepulcher (probably speling wrong) are not tbat good plus this is vanila. And in a vanila perpective hasasim can beat venetian heavy or conquistador
I watched this video a while ago and tested the Boyar Sons out afterwards. They really werent THAT bad... They even beat a unit of Feudal Knights once
They mean for the cost, it's too much
Boyar Sons are interesting, because if you give them their armour upgrade, then they’ll beat Feudal Knights and Imperial Knights, they’ll even consistently beat Imperial Knights even if you also give the Imperial Knights an armour upgrade. And considering that your only other choice is Dismounted Druzhina, which are pretty much just the same unit, they’re not that bad.
dismounted christian guards are the best infantry unit, Hashashims are even better but they are small unit
Everything loses to Dismounted Conquistadores
Kitbuqa its obvious your venetian charged while enemy dismounted conq./christian were not...
someone pls tell me where you can create hashashim they're fuckjibg awesome
you need to build hashashim guild, only available with Muslim factions (egypt, moors, turks) and Hungarians can have hashashim guild but they have battlefield assassins, similar to hashashim but weaker, you can build hashashim guild only in cities, you need to wait until it pops out in begining of the turn, when information says that guild is available to build, and you should wait until hashashim guild pops out to be available to build, you should cancel all others, but if you build inns and upgrade them and build assassins and and if you killed someone with assassins you get guild points so you will get chance to build guild earlier...you need 100 build points for hashashim guild, for example, if you build 1 assassin you get 10 points, for successful assassination you get 20 points but for failed assassination you lose 20 points so use quicksave before trying to assassinate somebody, and buildings give you i think 20 points for each upgrade....i hope it helps
MaximusOfCaceres ty ty
What about the Dismounted Ritterbruder from the Teutonic campaign?
Not included, as they are a M2tw Kingdoms faction. Kingdoms changes a lot in Vanilla M2tw, so it would need its own list.
huscarl
+Giese12345
690 florins god damnit
Overrated
Only thing I am missing in the list are the battlefield assasins.. they can get preety efffective when used properly
Both the battlefield assassins and the Hashashim are very good units. The Turks make the most use out of them. But they are expensive and need support from other infantry as they are not capable of holding a frontline themselves.
this is so corny xD hihi
my personal favourite are Danish Huscarls they are cheap and AP attacks can break any middle tear infantary
does the standard of venice stack if you have multiple of them in your army?
The new patch really hurt the JHI. I remember they were nearly unbeatable in the vanilla
Good tests guys and the emperial Knights are also my favorite unit in the game PS Apollo it s me thenapogamer yoo
thanks! and i know :P
How to play lan battle. Please instruct me.
I love the Moors. Christian Guard and Camel Gunners are so strong.
what is that 2handed bug everyone talks about can someone pls explain it to me
Combat animations for two-handed units are slower than those with sword and shield.
Morale only keeps them fighting on the field and not routing.
Ok this list isnt as bad as cavarly or archer videos. But if we are talking about a true fight, not numbers here is the top three
1-Hashasims
2-Battlefield Assasins
3-Venetian heavy inf.
And also there must be Jannissary Heavy inf. of course i think this must be 5.
*NOBAL*
ITS ACTUALLY *NOBLE*
apollo your wrong its actually *NOBLE* like nobal knights it supposed to be *NOBLE KNIGHTS*
I kind of wonder now since Dismounted Druzina, Boyar Sons, and Feudal Knights all have the same tag "Good Morale" in their description, but it's also true that Feudal Knights have the better morale in a fight:
Is this better morale due to a different "morale value" in the code designing the units, or do they have the same starting morale but feudal knights have a better defense value so they don't die as quickly and thus don't lose morale as quickly?
daz bones I cannot access the total war honga but that gives a lot of detailed stats for units.
But I have a feeling that your latter statement was probably closer to the truth. Units that die quickly lose morale from sustaining losses in a short span of time.
Ok, cool. Thanks for the response!
ive only played as england and france, but so far the english armored swordsman is my favorite. i think it was 600 for recruit but only a 125 upkeep, compared to dismounted feudal knights at 570 recruit and a 225 upkeep. sometimes its just better to be able to afford more units then have better ones.
Is 30 gold really that much so the Varangian Guard get put down one step despite its higher defence stats
What about Hungerian Battlefield Assassins
What about battlefield assassins and hashashim? because one unit of those can take out both feudal knights and chivalric knights
we talk about them at the end of the video.
