One of the best and most passionate interpretations of this beautifull piece. Didn't you just finish all transcendentals etudes? You are legend, the GOAT!
For me, that 1:08 of poco piu mosso is truly heart melting. Conveying Maestro's sensitive, delicate, poetic expressive interpretation ability along with his superb technique. Honest, passionate artistry at its finest.
Seriously... this is one of the most beautiful recordings I've ever heard of this piece!!!! BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This piece is emotionally overwhelming, and I mean that in the best way possible! This piece makes me feel as if I've had an incredible triumph or victory in life and as a result I'm overcome with joy, happiness, pride, and enthusiasm. This piece is truly the work of a genius composer and of course TRAUM IS AN INCREDIBLE PIANIST, and this performance is just remarkable. Hopefully we will see some more Traum uploads coming up soon!
Out of all other Liszt's etudes I've listened to, this has to be the most beautiful and emotional one so far. Your interpretation is simply wonderful! 💙
Thank you Traum, for this beautiful performance! 🙏 The distinct r.h. then l.h. melodies at the poco animato are incredibly moving. The hidden voices being highlighted throughout this piece make this recording No. 1 for me. ❤Thank you!!
Wonderful performance... a very beautifull piece played by a very well prepared pianist. All these ingredients make me feel that I'm listening to Liszt in person.
The way you've delayed the left hand octave at 7:00 & 7:12 is so satisfying, and leaves a clear canvas for the last build-up before the Più animato section. Something I've never heard before, even in what I'd consider the best recordings known (Kissin, Yunchan Lim, Claudio Arrau ...). Incredible interpretation! Thank you for your commemorable dedication Traum 🙏
Maestro has incredible techniques but his poetic interpretations are more impressive and moving for me. Genuine artistry expressed from his soul. Wait until you hear his Liszt's Bénédiction de Diue dans la Solitude, simply a transcendental experience.
Another upload from Traum! This is my favorite transcendental etude-- thank you so much for sharing your interpretation with us!! It's a very magical performance✨💖~~ Thank you so much for your hard work! Looking forward to hearing your interpretation of Ricordanza, (TE 9). :) Thank you once more! :D Take care, --K10🩵💙
@@Traumfanblueheron Thanks for agreeing! This is my personal opinion of the section "Molto Animato" - it's like where the protagonist has a conflict against themself. I love how Traum's performances can sometimes portray a story, or give the listener/viewer an image :)
@@K10-chopinetliszt All I know is, Maestro's beautiful artistry is soul healing for me. I appreciate him both as an incredible artist and a fine human being.
@Traumfanblueheron I see what you mean by that- in the major key in Molto Animato, I can hear triumph and victory; in the minor-ish key in Molto Animato, it seems like a protagonist is questioning themselves. But thank you for sharing your insight!
I do think this is quite a beautiful etude played by traum!!! Btw this piece started life in 1837 (early virtuoso days) and revised in 1851 and already this piece shows many impressionistic harmonies of liszt in his future music (e.g Deux Legends e.t.c) and I believe the title itself "Harmonies Du Soir" really captures emotion really well with its harmonies
I always liked this one the most, from the first time I heard the entire set. The climax ist just breathtaking. By the way this inspired me to try this one myself. I have not played any of the Liszt Etudes yet, I'm mostly convinced that they are out of my capabilities. And since you read everywhere that they get progressively more difficult I was hesitant to even try it, before I saw you play it. The top down view of your hands helped me to find the right fingering for some passages that would have befuddled me. And what can I say, after two readthroughs, I'd say it is very managable. And it's not so difficult like everybody claims. You have to have big hands like Liszt himself, which I do. Then you have to be good at reading this particular key. This is what makes this one difficult. All the double-flats can throw you off easily and make it hard to sight read. And finally you have to be good at jumps in the Molto Animato section. That is the most difficult part that can't be played without learning it by heart. But the rest? Doable with a bit of practice. Maybe I should also try No.12 which I always considered the best of the entire set. But the way it is printed with the small notes makes it hard to read.
Truly beautiful, been here since the start (despite being quiet!) and never thought I’d be able to see the last stretch of learning these études! Amazing work Traum.
I agree. Transcendental Étude No.11 has one of the most beautiful and emotional melodies I have heard, but its difficulty shouldn't be underestimated (from experience). P.S. If I am not mistaken, one étude left before you complete the album. :0

Omg LEDs are so beautiful! As beautiful as this piece. Your performance is amazing Traum! Thank you for uploading it! Only remains the TE9 to complete the set! :)
Wonderful interpretation! I've been listening to this everyday as I prepare this piece for my concert. Was wondering if you could play no.9 (Ricordanza) sometime? I'm also preparing that one for a concert and would love to hear your interpretation of the work!
My second favorite one from the set. This interpretation is on par with Daniil. I love the addition of sections and the staccato on the end of the arpeggios in the fourth section. The only thing slightly limiting this performance compared to Daniil's is the vst.
The Legend uploads once more! One more to finish the set Maestro! Can't help but think it's gonna be very soon with your endless capabilities haha. Pleased to receive this upload, thank you so much.
