    I’m playing a cedh kinnan deck that is very very similar to how this deck plays, but I think my long term goal just became turning that deck into this one. And I won’t have to buy many cards to do the switch. Thank you for putting together such a fun and consistent deck.

    1st and still favorite of mine, too. I've moved into freed lines with faeburrow and bloom tender, keeping the card quality high, but very happy to see the lightning bolt loops! That was my first change when I dropped a RiP and an opponent wheeled away my Finale. Oops.

    On this point I'm running a mixture of classical podline and Dawnwaker Thrasios. But i thnik the Podline is going to go out because, as you say, these are Deadcards beside the combo. And so much more slots are free. Pod, Derevi, Karmic Guide, Kikijikki, FelidarGuardian. I'll think i'll swap them for straigh Stax such as Esper sentinal or Aven Mindcensor. Your Video was quite Good. Keep it up man.

    Changing my UCFC list to this as sadly Food Chain seems not so good right now with all the RoL effects but I'm super excited to play Zirda, I had a Kenrith casual deck with Zirda, Biomancer's, TG, and Seedborn and it was pretty gross

    Been working on pako for a long time now, basically same time you’ve been looking at this deck it would seem because Kinnan/ zirda came out at the same time as pako with Ikoria, I would highly reccomend testing alchemists refuge either in another land slot or in the e zone slot, especially for your deck which can leverage using thras or getting committal value with flash spells when all it costs is the extra 3 mana when games go slow, more colors in the activation is very scary of course, even more so in 4 colors than 3, but I feel like it’s worth the slot in a deck that can draw land so often already

  • @rbsizemore3295

    Cool deck man! Looks better than Zirda for mid-game. Doesn’t look like it has the speed of Zirda though. I’ve been playing and fine tuning Zirda (as Commander, not in the 99) for a while now so it’s fun to see how Zirda gets used in other cEDH decks.

    Isn't Melira, Sylvok Outcast better than Vizier ? Doing the same job, but can be tutored with GSZ, has 1 more thoughtness, and can prevent a Triumph of the Hordes loss, or a random Black Sun's Zenith wrecking your board. Or is there a reason that I'm not aware of to play Vizier ?

    • @ComedIanMTG

      Melira actually prevents the ability to put counters on. This is a common misconception melira actually won't work with the way its worded. A quick Google search can show judges explaining it quite eloquently

    I want to make a deck like this but powered down for casual play: no infinites.
    I think I want to use creatures with activated abilities and the other ways to reduce that mana cost to 1.

    But how do you make other colors of mana? for the Lightning Bolt line lets say. I dont see lotus petal wich you could buyback with eternal witness, only thing i can think of is that you bounce dockside and make mana that way. Great deck btw. !

    • @veyron9255
      @veyron9255 2 года назад

      Ok i found a convoluted line lmao. You can do this: Play birds for green, cast finale for x=10 giving it haste, tap birds for white, play eternal witness and get back finale, play noble hierarch and do the same, now you got WW wich you can use to cast emiel, now bounce ewitnes and birds, witnes brings back finale, wich gives haste to bird, wich makes red mana and you can now produce colored mana with this simple looop xD bolt for win, gg ez haha

    • @ComedIanMTG
      @ComedIanMTG  2 года назад +1

      So you only need a single red for dockside. Springleaf, chrome mox, metamorph and a few other ways can get you there

    I don't see in the Primer and I didn't hear in the video (sorry if I missed it) any mention of Priest of Titania. • @ilikewater666
      @ilikewater666 2 года назад +1

      His thoughts: "Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder- many people suggest akiri, line slinger as a commander instead and I couldn't disagree more. Bruse is an amazing clock. More importantly however, Bruce can be sacrificed to eldritch evolution or neoform to grab seedborn muse. The life gained from Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder swings have won several grindy games for me. Akiri being around for free spells is nice but realistically that is what Thrasios, Triton Hero is for. As far as getting Zirda, the Dawnwaker by sacrificing Akiri to Neoform or Eldritch Evolution that is definitely nice but far from something I would want to give up grabbing seedborn for. Another thing that kind of invalidates the Akiri neoform "benefit" is that the deck is chalk full of 1-3 cmc creatures as opposed to the 2 four drops in the deck. It is much easier to Neoform the already existing creatures in the deck into Zirda, the dawnwaker rather than praying we hit our 4 cmc creatures to neoform into Seedborn Muse. Just a side note; Bruse+Oakhame adversary is pretty busted. To be frank I only see upside from having Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder as a partner and see no real benefit from Akiri except the "if you have your free with commander spells" and that argument does not hold up against these other benefits."
