Good afternoon 😊 is it possible for me to get a license with 0 experience to help my brother out with his business
Yes by finding an RMO. Utilizing the RMO under your corporation.
@@ConstructionEntrepreneurs thank you
How dose the tax and the workers Comp work in this process, I got a buddy that wants to piggy back but I’m scare I don’t want to be Responsible for worker’s compensation and lawsuits
A corporation have to be started. The worker comp is file under the corporation. Lawsuits will be filed against the corporation but the board will hold you responsible for whatever judgment is made if any on any lawsuit if you are listed on the license. WWW.CONSTRUCTIONENTREPRENEURS.COM
hmm I want to help my friend , but my License is my bread and butter so idk just don’t want it to bite me in the butt
Very well explained. Currently looking for a C-10 RMO/RME. I have not been in trouble with the law or state board just been technically self employed my hole life and have electricians under me now. Just trying to get an RMO/RME under our corporation to get onto bigger and better things in our field. If you have any advise on where to look or have any contacts please let me know.
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately the specialized trade classification is the hardest to see RMO/RMEs for. Im tryi g to find a way to attract more individuals with these types of licenses to help him see a way to expand effortlessly. As long as its structured right this can be a win for all. @@ConstructionEntrepreneurs hey bro..I need rme.
Willing to pay..been project manager..been solo handyman 10yrs.currently.fight a contracting no license
Great information. Can you clarify if the RME needs to placed on payroll, workers compensation?
The CSLB identifies an RME as a bonafide empolyee. If this is true then Yes. Remember if this person is only RME to the corporation the Board is clear about how many hours and percentage of work towards operations this person should have per week.
If this person is an RME and also a member of the corporation then No.
I you need me to go into further details you would have to call my office so I have time to understand your unique situation. 844-917-8223 Thank you for leaving a comment. Don't forget to subscribe.

How would I do this in Florida? I am licensed as a Home Improvement Contractor in NYC only, not for the whole state. I will also be seeking the NY Westchester and NJ (all of NJ) Home Improvement Contractor license. An all-state Florida Certified General Contractor has requirements that I cannot get fulfill. I am looking to the future in about 1-3 years to open an office in Florida. Why? I want to live and work in NYC and in Florida.
I am close to finishing my bachelor's degree in construction management. I am in my senior year but I put it on hold since I opened my company in NYC.
So what do you think? Is there such a thing as an RMO/RME option in FL? Thanks!
Can this way work for C33 or is it another way to get it faster?
It's very difficult to find a C classification RMO. Usually the general B and Engineering A come a dime a dozen.
@@ConstructionEntrepreneurs Thanks Brother. Appreciate the reply.
Wow, what a helpful video this is. I have a question concerning licensing for spraying a rejuvenating compound on asphalt shingle roofs. CSLB says I need with a C-33 or C-39 license. I do not have the 4 years journeyman level requisite experience to apply. Can a general contractor provide a license or do I specifically need a painting/decorator or roofer as a RME or RMO? Thanks again for the most informative videos I have found.
You can use a General B License to attain a C classification. The B cover a wide variety of trades. You just have to word your experience to where it doesn't single out only roofing. Find a school that will help with that or give us a call. We specialize in this.
Thanks for watching and taking time to ask a question.
So, if my business only involves spraying asphalt shingles with a patented rejuvenating compound, would it not work to use the General B? Not sure what an RMO could do in regard to supervising when there is no actual construction of any kind. Only spraying of shingles.
So I've been working under my dad (unlicensed) in Landscaping for 4 years. Going after the C27. And I need to get someone to sign & show proof of my work. How do I go about this ? I had someone who was going to help and is licensed but bailed on me. So now I don't have anyone to sign. Any ideas?
Thanks for reaching out.
The person that signs for you is required to have seen you work. So if your experience is from someone unlicensed it'll be tough to get you approved. I suggest get with a legit company for the 4yrs or find someone that will to partner with you in a business that has a C-27 license. Keep the partnership until you gain the required experience to get your own.
Construction.Entrepreneurs thanks for the information. If I only would of known of this before I would of never paid for the school😕 so now I'm like left on the dark with already paid for the school.
Ask them for a refund. A return policy is in place. Look on your student agreement form. Don't be discouraged but the Confusing language. Just ask for a refund. They should have told you the risk is high going this route before they signed you up.
So I'm trying to get a grasp on how this works...my understanding is if I don't meet the eligibility requirements to become a contractor I can use an RME who has a licence(s), and use their license to become a contractor. My state has several applications and I'm confused which one I need to apply for. My assumption is the Contractor Entity however, the process are as followed:
1) Applicant files application, fee and other required items on or before the first Tuesday of the month.
2) Board reviews complete applications the following month.
3) Board notifies applicant of approval/disapproval/deferral.
4) Approved applicant's RME registers with a separate testing agency for exam, if applicable.
5) RME takes exam the following month.
6) Upon RME passing the exam, Board notifies applicant of license requirements.
7) Applicant submits license requirements.
8) Board issues license to applicant.
9) Maintain license.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the RME in this case needs to take an examination. I'm just wondering why when they already hold a license and have already been through the examination process. I have someone that is willing to be an RME with licenses so any help would be great.
Thanks for sending me the email with all the links. Alot easier.
After reading through all 4 I'm assuming the "Principal RME Designation" form is the one you fill out.
But call the board to verify. You might have to fill out "Contractor Entity" form as well.
Hey, love the channel god bless you brother. This is my question I found someone who has a license and is willing to allow me to hop in as RME. so as far as me doing that being that my end goal is to get my own license how long do I have to be an RME under his license before the CSLB will acknowledge me as a licensee when I leave the RMO? Basically, when I leave his company after how long being an RME will CSLB give me my own Lic number?
So you should be creating your own corporation when choosing to go the RMO route. That way you keep the same License number for your corporation. If you choose to operate under his/her company License that they started then you could possibly be giving up your hard work once the company matures and become successful. Start your own corporation first then give the RMO to be assigned under your corporation. You have to have 4 years of experience. So counting your current years of experience plus what you need to equal the minimum 4 years. Once that happens you file to become your own RMO for your own corporation that I'm strongly advising you to create. Make sure you fill out our corporation request form on our website. www.ConstructionEntrepreneurs.com

Hey man, love your videos, I was recently denied the chance to take the state exam by the board, instead they recommended me to find a qualifier to sign for me and form a corporation. I need the California plumbing license C36. How can I find a qualifier? Thank you!!
The qualifiers/RMO I have are only General B License at this time. But we do provide this service
Is this only for GC's or all licensed trades?
Every license classification
